AIM Log - Safaia & Felyn
Talayeh & Ashiki

She would never learn. When you enjoyed life, something would always have to ruin that. For her, it was the little gaggle of brats that she now had on her paws. One was too much, so having five was an absolute nightmare. "Damn it," she swore under her breath. She wanted to tell them to shut up, but then a few of them would start crying, and then she'd really lose it.

Cloaking herself into the most plain, boring mortal coat colour she could think of, she ushered the children in front of her. It was the same game she had played before, but finding a new land to dump the kids on wasn't as easy as it used to be. Making herself to look like a starved older maiden of a lioness was never fun, but it seemed like it worked well on whoever took pity.

"Oh, what am I to do?" she wailed, dropping onto the ground with feigned exhaustion. "I can barely feed myself, let alone these poor orphans!" She glanced around at the barren lands, wondering if there was someone out there listening. If it didn't work, well, it was good practice! She'd do a stellar job once she landed herself in the middle of pridal lands.

Ashiki didn't often stalk the borders of the pride. She either left it to her shadow, or to the whiny one. However, she was never much one for promoting pampered queens, and it was her opinion that she should be capable of doing anything that any of ther pride members could.

It was then that she heard a particular grating sort of wail. Her nose instantly scrunched as she let her deep eyes scan the deserty horizon around her, resting only as they fell upon the form of an older, decrepid looking lioness. She heard something about lacking food and orphans, but it was muted and hard to understand from such a distance.

With a sigh, and slight mutter, she schooled her features to a stern look and stalked in the direction of the female. Her dusky-rose form stopped next to that of the other, her eyes narrowing a fraction. "Pray tell, what is it that's causing you to wail so?"

"Oh, oh!" Her head swirled to meet the form of a lioness before her, one that presented herself much better than Tala's illusion. She supressed the urge to grin, pleased that it seemed her little dramatic act had attracted some attention. Back to character.

"These poor children! I don't have the means to take care of them, as you can certainly see, but I couldn't let the little ones starve all alone!" She shrilled the end of her statement, looking for reaction. Though....even in her own opinion it might have been a little much. Take note: tone the dramatics down just a bit.

After a small moment of silence, she bundled the cubs up together, none seeming pleased about the roughing around. "I couldn't find their parents, and I promise on the sun's rays that I tried." She cowered slightly, looking up at the lioness with her wide eyes. Maybe if she tried to look a little crazy that would work better than being shrill and doom-y.

Ashiki couldn't get a feel for what this lioness was - she seemed lost, confused, and maybe a touch on the psychotic side. That wasn't all too surprising though, she'd seen the rogue life drive more than one lione to insanity.

"I believe you," she muttered, resisting the urge to tell her to shut up. She shifted a little closer to the female, peering over her to look down at the bundled cubs. At least they looked healthy. Whatever the lioness was, she had taken good care of the cubs, perhaps more than herself.

"If they're orphans, one lioness certainly can't take care of them by herself." Actually, that was a lie. She'd seen a lioness doing just fine taking care of a litter large than this one - but then, she too had sought out the help of a pride eventually. "My pride has plenty of shelter and resources."

She would happily take the cubs, that was new blood to raise on their beliefs. However, this lioness.. she was none too sure about.

This....was too easy. Maybe she should just go around this route instead. Sure, she got much more satisfaction just leaving cubs to lions that knew she was a goddess, but some of the little twerps actually expected something in return. Hmph, they should feel blessed that she even offered her children to them! This...while not as satisfying, tied everything together in one little bow. Nice and neat, and over with.

"N-no, I certainly couldn't!" she lamented about taking care of them. She couldn't even take care of herself! Well, fake-self. "It's taken me all my energy just to make sure that they eat enough and sleep well enough. I'm at my wits end, if you couldn't tell." She itched at her ear, pretending that there was a flea bothering her.

Now came the tricky part. She couldn't seem like she didn't care about them at all, but she didn't want to seem like she wanted to stay. But if she literally just disappeared at this moment, the lioness that offered to take them in might change her mind. As much as Talayeh didn't like children, she never wanted to see one of them die of neglect. "S-so you have a place for them, perhaps?" she asked carefully, leaning forward towards the other for a moment, feeling one of the little cubs tumble over across her paws.

Ashiki frowned at the way the female was scratching at herself, resisting the urge to step away as she leaned in towards her. The scraggly female was certainly not at the top of her list of lions to have a chat with - not in such poor condition. She wasn't exactly vain, but it took a very humble creature not to be repulsed by such things.

"Yes, there are nannies in the pride, they would stay with them. There's food, water, plenty of space." She was implying heavily that the cubs would be separated from her, and Ashiki wasn't even going to bother pretending otherwise. If she somehow had to take the female back, through whatever twist of fate it was, she was going to make sure that she wasn't anywhere near the cubs.

Pity that Tala had a rule about not dumping more litters in one area. This place sounded like the perfect ground to drop off all of her little brats. Ah well, hopefully she wouldn't get the damn urge for a while, and she could just enjoy her alone time.

"Sounds pleseant," she commented, looking down at them. It seems they had gotten a little bored, but with their short attention spans they'd probably forget about her in this form soon enough. And if she was really lucky, they'd never remember her.

"It...it wouldn't be a problem?" she asked, pushing the kidlets together a bit more, hoping that the movement would keep the other lioness' eyes on the cubs, and not on her. She wouldn't mind being forgotten completely, in this embarassing (if amusing) form. "There are five of them....if they ever stop crawling all over each other."

She almost snoted at the comment about the Outlands being 'pleasant'. She doubted very few outsiders would have called their strict, sometimes cut-throat pride 'pleasant', and she doubted very few of the members saw it as such. It was a means of living, a land surrounded by their ideals.

"Not a problem at all," she returned, taking a small step closer to get a better look at the little cubs as the lioness pushed them back together. There were indeed five of them - another big addition to their numbers. He was wrong - new members were just flooding in, it seemed.

"Well, just leave them with me, and they'll be taken care of." She took another step forward, pushing a little at the female's personal space - but it was simply a hint for her to move away from the cubs. She had no idea she was a goddess, she simply thought she was a lioness down-on-her-luck and a little off her rocker.

She tried to not show her frustration at the sudden movement, but she quickly reminded herself that she had to seem a little odd. So instead she lowered her head, nudging the little cubs off towards the other lioness. Probably the last time, but there wasn't really a mix of feelings. Only relief. Even if she wanted to raise them, she sure as hell wasn't the good kind of parent for kids.

She withdrew quietly, keeping her body a little close to the ground and scrunched up a bit. Playing omega wasn't too hard, though it was a little tough on the back, yeeesh. "T-thank you," she said with a bit of a broken voice, acting like she was going to miss the little runts. Hah. Maybe she'd peek on them once they were adults to make sure they weren't a complete embarassment of the bloodline she offered them. The male was pretty handsome, if a little young around the edges. This lioness better be proud of them once they grew.

Just for effect, she backed up a bit more, watching quietly. Make the other think she miiight have second thoughts, or just feign a little sadness. It'd be all over with in just a moment.

Ashiki didn't budge as the female scooted the cubs towards her, she made no move to back down, simply watched her as she relinquished her hold and scooted away.

Once the female was far enough removed, she simply nodded and turned - not completely on her, she still held a weary eye, but enough so that she could nudge the cubs to their little paws and push them along into the pride a little deeper. Once they were far enough, she'd call for Momo, or maybe Niruzu. Her shadow would probably be a bit frightening for cubs.
