He had never been too good at entertaining himself, wait that was a lie; he was very good entertaining himself. It was just that what entertained him tended to annoy others or get him into a lot of trouble if something went very much awry. Wylde's chin rested against the countertop that was within the shop with a small bored grunt. Bi-colored eyes stared toward the shop opening with a look of concentration upon his face. Maybe he could lure people in that way.

Wylde wasn't lonely he just wanted entertainment that wouldn't get him in trouble.

Preferably.

He continued to stare at the door his eyes widening a bit in furthered concentration, though no actual magic was put into his effort.

Maggie had heard that there was a magic shop up the street from her costume shop, and she wondered if they would have anything she could use to make her costumes and wardrobe flashier.

She decided to wear her princess dress around town today (she loved when people stopped and asked her about it, and sometimes it brought it customers) and so as she walked towards the door, she gathered her green skirt in her hands, so she wouldn't bump anything inside the shop.

Her curled hair bounced on her shoulders as she pushed open the door and looked around.

Huh. So this is what a magic shop looked like? It was much more organized than her costume shop...

He stayed in his position a moment longer even when the woman had entered his domain. His bi-colored eyes stared at her intently before he sat up though his arms shifted forward and draped a bit off the counter, "Hello m’lady, how can I help you today?" he asked cheerfully though there was a hint of boredom to his voice.

Huh the lady looked vaguely familiar for reasons unknown. Sort of like one of those un-met neighbor sort of thing. You see them and you kind of remember their face but beyond that...Nothing. Oh well. She certainly was dressed fancy to be coming in this place.

"Nice get-up." He complimented with a small nod.

"Oh, hi!" Maggie said cheerfully, raising her hand up to wave at the man at the counter. She probably shouldn't have been as worried about her dress bumping stuff as herself, since when she raised her hand, she hit something beside her.

She was just a liiiittle bit clumsy.

"Oh!" the redheaded woman cried, as she turned and caught a bottle of something before it teetered off the shelf. But it wasn't enough to get her flustered.

"Thank you," she said, replying to his compliment. "And...I dunno. I just always pass by here, because I'm up the street," she pointed in the direction she came from, narrowly missing the bottle again. "And I've never come in, so I was curious."

"Mm-mm," he said in reply to her thanking him for the compliment as he wiggled his fingertips at the air while his arms draped over the counter. He was openly staring at her, taking in her measure as it were. She could possibly benefit from a Thuk, maybe, plus he was bored. He was obviously thinking a little harder than need be or he was thinking just enough, whatever the case was this woman would probably find herself 'victim' to his antics.

"Yeah? Well it is always good to be curious, that is how you get answers to questions and things like that," he replied idly as he sat a little more upright sliding the palms of his hands across the counter. "So, do you like caring for people?"

No that question wasn't random at all.

Maggie was busy looking at the items on the shelf around her, shifting from foot to foot, so her skirt swished around her ankles.

"Hmm? Oh..." She thought for a moment. Well, she still wasn't sure WHY people kept giving her kids...er, kid like..people... to care for. So, she couldn't ever remember thinking to herself 'hey, I like taking care of people', but she must have and then forgot. Why else would she have 4 kids at home, after all?

"Yeah, I think so." she said. "I've got a few kids at home that I take care of."

She didn't really even notice that the question was rather random.

He sat up a bit when she said these words with a small tilt of his head. Wylde was only looking for something to do, he never had a clear motivation as to why he did these things he just often felt compelled, pulled. "Yeah? That's pretty nice. What would you do if you had another one to add to your lot?"

Another random question, a point of curiosity.

Already Wylde was standing and getting ready to head toward the door half expecting her to follow suit instead of asking questions but also half expecting to signal her to follow. Right now his prime motivation was boredom, whether she wanted one or not the mage had already decided he's giving her a 'gift' for being such an indulgent first-time customer.

"You know what's weird?" Maggie said, not answering his question. "My house adds rooms whenever new kids come home with me. Cindy got her own room, and it's durable enough to withstand her tail, and then when Berry and Zuki showed up, a tiny doll house appeared. in its own room." She looked up. "Oh, Berry and Zuki aren't full sized..." This all seemed to make perfect sense to her. "Today I went down the hall and it seemed longer than I thought. There's an extra room now, but it's empty."

She shrugged. "Guess the house thought I needed an extra room. But usually it just makes my work room bigger. It only adds rooms when someone came home with me." Maggie smiled and laughed. "I guess at least they'd have a room to stay in, if another came home with me, hm?"

The redhead watched him curiously as he stood. She edged closer to the counter than she had until now. She always felt like she was invading someone's personal space if she got to close, but she was really curious to see if there was anything at the counter.

He didn't seem to notice that she hadn't answered his question and even if she had there were no promises, after all, the magic could totally leave him at a moment's notice and thus make him look a fool. It had happened a time or two before mostly during magic exams. Such was the risk. "Huh, very strange indeed," Wylde said conversationally, "strange and convenient!"

Wylde moved to a door, there was plenty of space to move behind the counter, and opened it; he quietly waved her after him, "Come, come, I have something I want to show you. I am sure you'll find it very interesting," Wylde said cheerfully, it was mischief and good intentions mixed together.

Nothing good could come of this, but let's hope for the best.

Maggie looked up from the counter that she had been staring at. "Hmm? Oh, ok, sure," she said.

She walked beside the counter until she got to the open door and followed Wylde through it.

"What kind of stuff do you keep back here?" she asked curiously. Most of the shop owneres she had met in Gaia were friendly, but none of them had ever invited her into closed off sections of the store.

If Maggie had had enough sense, she might be getting that sinking feeling that she was about to be saddled with another charge. As it happened, though, she was so oblivious that she happily followed.

"Mm-mm, nothing much, just my workshop and a few files on past purchases or whatever. Nothing fancy or secret to be honest with you," Wylde had an air of informality about him. It showed in the way that he didn't introduce himself straight away nor asked for the woman's name. Though the thought seemed to strike him just then as the door opened and he began to meander on down the set of stairs leading into a basement, "I'm Wylde by the way," he said with a dreamy tone.

Once down stairs they would be in a room covered in sometimes glowing marks carved into the walls but that wasn't as prominent as the large doorframe-like object that stood on a dais with a sign next to it, but despite being a simple doorframe on a dais it didn't just look out into the otherside of the room but instead it was filled with various scenery flashing by with little to no purpose or reason to it other than it did and that the longest the flashing scenery would pause was the doorframe was filled with the vision of stars against a dark blue canvas that was also tainted and swirled with bits of purple cloud-like objects. There was obviously magic in the room but it originated from that door the closer to the doorframe one got the stronger the crackle of magic played against the skin. The walls of the room were covered with strange arcane markings and sometimes a few of the markings would glow.

The sign next to the dais read: EXIT ONLY. DO NOT ENTER.

Wylde waited for unwitting woman to join him with a small grin.

"I'm Maggie," the redhead replied as she followed Wyled down the stairs.

Maggie felt a little shiver run up her spine as they entered the room. Huh..she must be cold.

She spun in a small circle, taking in the whole room as she did. This was even odder than the room above.

Reading the sign on the door, she tilted her head a little. "If it's an exit, how can you use it, if you can't walk through it?"

"Pleased to meet you Miss Maggie," was all he said when she entered the room to show that he had heard her. He watched her with mild amusement and shrugged his shoulders, "Well if you or I enter that doorway we'd get lost in Gods know where, but other things do come out of that door. Believe me." He said with an almost innocent flick of the wrist, but it wasn't as innocent as one would like to believe.

The doorway began to pulse with an odd light all of the sudden and the scenery within it began to flash by at a rapid pace. Wylde just watched with a certain amount of satisfaction.

"Oh, so it's not like an exit for the shop, but it's someone else's exit." She didn't wonder what an exit for someone else was doing in his basement, or if she did, she didn't voice the question.

And now it seemed to be flashing with light.

"Does it do that often?" she asked. "I think that would bother me, if I was down here alot."

"Mm-mm," Wylde nodded as he watched the scenery change though for all it was worth it was just another gesture, another movement. The scene suddenly stopped to where it looked like you were within a cage within the point of view of a small animal and suddenly there was a flash of light and the sound of a camera. Then out from the doorframe floated a polaroid-photo style object and it landed, gradually at Maggie's feet.

Wylde was pleased with himself and only regretted that as soon as she left he'd be bored once again.

The image on the Foto, when it was 'developed', showed a story background but in the foreground was something shaped in a vaguely humanoid fashion, though one can never be too sure.

"Every now and again, but not when I am on my own, oddly enough..." He had that air of someone very pleased with the progression of his mischief.
