Mikoto was scoffing with slightly jealous displeasure at his sister prancing about the stage like a fool. Any respectable kuniku knew that kabuki shows were for males only. Unfortunately, it did not appear that Ine was a particularly respectable kuniku. Despite the upbringing of and uncanny resemblance to their father, Ine seemed to take after their mother in manners. This annoyed him to no end. He hated to go out with his sister; she always found new ways to publicly embarrass him. Frankly, he was growing tired of it, and had begun to ponder leaving the family to become an independent kuniku. Perhaps even join the kabuki theater, just to show Ine how it was done.
Sakura was watching her daughter with delight. She was quite proud to see her little one up on the stage, showing everyone how magnificent she was. Young Ine was certainly glowing in the light being shined upon the stage. She turned to Gennosuke, grinning from ear to ear. "I'm so proud of her," she said, clapping her paws. "Aren't you?" She faced the stage again and shouted, "You're doing a fantastic job, Ine dear!"
