Strawberry Pocky Parade Vice Captain

I took Yama out for lunch today and we crossed the street on the other corner of our block. Suddenly, we were smack dab in the middle of [not-so]cheap-o restaurant central!
There was Korean food, Chinese food, and of course! Japanese food! Actually, what I thought was interesting was that in a Chinese restaurant, they were serving Japanese food... Today for lunch I had a nice big cut of Unagi (is that right?) on rice as well as a side of 4 gozo, miso soup with a LOT of tofu in it (too much. @.@) and of course the rice and soy under the Eel. I don't know why I like Eel..... I mean... yeah...
It's just one of those things that I'm not sure why I like it. xD It looked beautiful today but it just sounds like it would be disgusting. It's not true! Lol

What a score!
I really need to go exploring one of these days.
Can you believe I've been otaku for like 3 years now, and still haven't eaten Japanese food other then sushi?

@Yama - lol all ramen is real ramen ; - D except the cheap cup ramen that says official on it -_-
@CI - you dont needa eat sushi to be an otaku D: thasts so sterotypical burning_eyes lol

Just saying, I'm a fan of all this Japanese stuff, and yet I cant say I'm a fan of the cuisine cause I've barely had any Dx

How nice! I wish there were places down where I live that served authentic Asian food. ^_^; Everything is kinda...suited for American palettes. I love weird food in general (Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Food World and Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations for the win.)
And no worries Miss Chloie, unagi is delicious! I'm glad you tried it. It's one of my favorite things to eat at Japanese places. I only wish restaurants would serve it more often. 3nodding heart
