The sky brightened with the morning and with the start of the day awoke one of the alphas, covered in his gleaming gray tones and bright eye's. The gathering of the pack was coming along nicely. They were up to nearly 10, which shocked Menlaus a bit. He knew their pack stood for something needed in the world they lived in but, he wasn't sure how needed and to have so many members already was proof. His shock, therefore, was not of a pleased one. It made him wonder how many more out there needed them. He'd have to send scouts or something.
"First to talk that bit over with Chivosi.. And then a pack meeting will be in need." He sighed softly. He was a very happy wolf, even more so when near any source of water. He had a love of it that only grew over time. Proudly he stood and shook off the dew that had settled on him, he chose not to be to far from his beloved water so the dew was a little heavier. "Now to talk with Chivosi." He smiled, his mate made him the happiest he'd ever been. Water could barely compare to his companion. It'd be the first time they'd have talked alone since they'd started all of this and he mourned that but, loved their future plans to much to make that known.
Chivosi luckily was never to fair off from him so all it took was a couple steps and then he bent down, nosing his mate briefly to try and get her to stir awake. He wanted this all to be talked over with before the others awoke.

Chivosi buried her nose under a paw and mumbled something which sounded vaguely like 'don't let the butterfly's escape!' before Mene's persistent nosing drew her from her dreams and caused her to crack an eye open and stretch her paws out in frown of her with a giant yawn.
"Morning love" she finally spoke, standing to give a soft shake of her pelt "your up early today"

Menelaus gave a soft giggle at his partners mutterings, weird dreams weren't uncommon. Hearing them was a treat! Yawning a bit himself he drops his rump to the forest floor and smiles down to Chiv fondly. "Morning, yeah.. I've had some stuff on my mind recently. As I'm sure most of us had." He nodded and stifled another yawn trying to force it's way through.
"Would you walk with me a second?" He asked, tail wagging now. He was always excited to spend time with others. He enjoyed one on one to group but, could work with either. "I wanted to talk about some of the things on my mind with you." He stood again, beginning to lead her away from the group curled up together.

Chivosi nodded at him 'Of course". After stretching a bit more she padded after Mene as he wandered away from the group, she hadn't had as much time with Mene lately as they had before but that was to be expected she thought - at leas in the beginning, getting the pack situated and organized took quite a bit of time and their numbers had grown quickly.
"What did you have on your mind?" She asked him as she caught up and paced along beside him - they were wandering along the river bank - which didn't surprise her in the least, given the choice she was pretty sure Mene would opt to live in the water if he could.

"Well to start.. " He paused a moment, voice softening as he gazed at his precious river. He treasured it as much as Chiv and the pack growing with them. It was his pride and joy and his calming feature. As he pawed gently along it's bank he'd startled a fish and paused to let it get away from him and hide.
"We ought to be begin sending out scouts as soon as we feel the others are ready." He smiled to her, his attention was never undivided. He always seemed to be admiring one thing or another about the woods or water around them.

Chivosi watched as Mene's gaze traveled over the river, it made her happy to know he was so pleased with the land they had chosen to make their home. Turning his idea's over in his head she nodded slightly.
"it is probably a good idea - how else will be find those in need of help? We can't keep assuming they will simply fall nto our paws like the others have" She paused considering their members with a slight tilt of her head. "Do you have anyone in mind for the job?"

His mind burrowed deeper away with his thoughts which he was trying desperately to cling to. Trust issues were popping into him from no where. He trusted his immediate family. Chiv and Merrill. He was unsure of the rest and knew them only by name mostly, their personalities escaped him.
"Well.. Enli.. Merrihk would pose well if he was confident enough to approach others." He wondered loosely where the rest of the pack was and how far he coudl toss them before their ties became loose. "Who do you suppose?" His eye's grew dark as his thoughts did and he was sighing softly to himself.

Chivosi considered the question for a few moments, and as she thought - she took note of Mene's dreary gaze and soft sigh, bumping him lightly with her shoulder she tried to knock him towards the river, it was a serious conversation sure ...but there was no need to become so despondent over it and perhaps a reminder of that would bring him out of it. Keeping her voice light she answered.
"Well..Enli I think is the most suitable at the moment - although perhaps we should ask for volunteers, they are all keen to belong somewhere and I don't want to throw them back into the world without making sure they know they do belong here with us first"
