Golden-Spider meandered along a narrow path, enjoying the morning's coolness and sounds. Unusually, for him at least, Golden-Spider had been up since just before dawn. Unsure why, and not much caring, he'd eaten breakfast and watched the sun rise. Now he simply wandered, too bored to stay in his home area, but with no real purpose in mind.
Ducking his head under a low hanging branch, Golden-Spider is slow to see the path widen into a large marsh, bordered by dry banks. Lifting his head, he takes in the not unusual sight. Noting that most of them offer an easy way up, should he choose to leave the marshes. With a shrug, Golden-Spider edges his way around the area, not so much to keep from getting muddy. Mud was simply a part of life when you lived in a swamp. However, he knew from past experiences that bogs could look and be firm one step, and the next you are up to your chest in muck.
Turning, Golden-Spider climbs up an embankment, coming to the top in a patch of sunlight. He sits, looking first out across the marsh, then turning to look into the forest behind him. Feeling no urge to move, Golden-Spider stays there, wondering what he might catch glimpses of so early in the morning.

Dream-Weaver stalked through the early morning. She did not sleep last night; she did not feel there were any dreams for her to weave. She was glad that she blended into the environment around her, the floral patterns on her shoulder and back legs blended in, as well as her mucky colored coat. She could never blend in as well as Dune could in the sand, but she could blend in well enough.
It was strange. The morning mists were twirling and shaping like the haze of a burning flower. She pause to watch for a moment, seeing glimpses of dreams. Shaking her head, she knew that this was not the time. She was no Waking-Dreamer, able to discern the shifting patterns dream-sleep in the physical world.
Looking past the haze, she saw an embankment, and a bright yellow kimeti sitting there, looking intently towards the forest. Sticks made a rash decision, and went to go talk to him. Her father said to be wary of strange kimeti, but she knew she had to Dream soon again.
She walked up to the buckl; waiting for some sign of like or dislike on his face.

Golden-Spider blinks, his mind absorbing the realization of a doe approaching him long after his eyes had seen her. Blinking again, and shaking cobwebs from his mind, he looks at her, a confused smile playing about his lips, wondering how long he'd been zoned out. Clearing his throat, he bows his head slightly to her, and speaks. "Good morning."

"Truly, you think?" she asked, puzzled by how he might know. She glanced about. She supposed it was a good morning, so far, so she had to agree.
Turning her attention back to the buck, she said, after inclining her head, "I am Dream-Weaver, who are you?"

"Yes, at least so far." he nods, his mind stumbling over whether or not there is any sarcasm in her question. Cursing himself for not paying more attention the few times he's been around other Kimeti, Golden-Spider pushes that thought aside. Catching her name, he smiles, almost forgetting to reply with his own. "Oh! I'm Golden-Spider, nice to meet you."

"It is wonderful to meet you, as well," she responded with a smile. She hadn't really come into contact with other kimeti much, aside from family gatherings or festivals. It was strange to talk to a handsome buck all on her own.
"What are you doing out so early? As I understood it most kimeti are sleeping in the morning."

Golden-Spider shrugs, not knowing the answer to his early rising either. "Dunno, just woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. So I decided to start my day early. How about yourself?" he asks, wondering what luck had brought her his way.

"Hm. I could not sleep, so I decided to wander the swamp," she responded. The morning was a good time to meet others, since the whole day existed to continue meeting with them!
She sat down next to him. "Is there any reason why you chose this part of the swamp to be in?"

He shakes his head at Dream-Weaver's question. "Not really, just started walking and didn't turn back when I'd reached the border to my home area." He smiles at her, a somewhat silly, lopsided one. "And you, do you live around here, or are you wandering as well?"

Dream-Weaver grinned at the question. "No, I do not live anywhere. It is rather freeing, to wander the swamp at a whim." She had thought about settling down in a part of the swamp, but that was just too boring for her tastes.
"Are there many others who live near your home area?"

Golden-Spider shrugs at the doe's first words. "I may have a set home, but I do wander as I see fit." Her question gives him pause, trying to remember if anyone did live near. "Not many, that I know of at least. I suppose I should know my neighbors better, but most Kimeti I meet are while I'm wandering about."

"The same thing happens to me too, usually," she responded. She paused for a moment. "It must be lonely then, living in such an isolated place, even with your wanderings about."
She chanced a sidelong glance at him, trying to guage his reactions. Talking to real-kimeti was much harder than dream-kimeti.

"It can be, I suppose that's why I wander." His voice falls silent, thoughts turning to memories. "Though, it's the quality of company, and not how often or many I meet." He blinks away the memories, refocusing his eyes on Dream-Weaver. "What about you, do you meet others often?"

Golden-Spider had made a good point, she realized. Not many kimeti she met she would have considered good company.
"I have met many other kimeti, but I mostly help their dreams," She said, "Sometimes nightmares will plague them, and I've a sort of talent for soothing them. It has been a very long time since someone has talked to me merely for pleasure, rather than wanting my services."
She turned to gaze into the swamp. Eddies of mist still flowed through the trees, spilling the Motherfather's secrets and hiding even more.

Golden-Spider perks his brow, the doe's words surprising him. "I've never heard of such a talent among Kimeti. Is it unique to you?" He wonders about that, uniqueness is good, but could it be bad as well? Thoughts of other's wanting a Kimeti only for a talent crowd his mind. "It must be lonely. Even if you talk to others all day, if they only want their nightmares gone it must get tedious."
