Character Info
Name : Annabelle Farfeild
Age : 16
Gender : Female
Appearance :
Annabelle has long black hair that is usually tied up in a french braid and hanging over one shoulder or dangling against her back. It goes down to her waist when braided and down to her but when left loose. She has bangs that frame her face but she usually pins them back to keep them out of her eyes. Her eyes are a pretty green color that always stands out because of her tanned skin and dark hair. Her eyes are wide and always full of emotion she can’t hide her feelings at all. Her face is not really all that unique, she looks like everyone else and besides her green eyes she normally doesn't stand out. Her body is well toned and tallish. She lived her whole life on a farm and so she is used to labor and so is her body. She is tanned because of so many days out in the sun and she usually wears comfortable clothing. Loose pants, loose shirts, lots of pockets for convenience and sometimes a knife on her belt to help with her labors. She is basically a farm girl inside and out.
Personality :
Annabelle is a stubborn and strong willed girl who loves to talk and hates down time. She figures that life is too short to waste and so is always looking for things to do or to improve upon. That isn't to say she doesn't enjoy her lazy days, they are just few and far between. She also tends to be a bit impulsive and protective of things that she is attached to which can range from inanimate objects to people to places. She absolutely adores her farm life and caring for animals, but she is sensible abut it and knows that the animals will be slaughtered for food and other things so she does not get too attached (when she can help it). She is very social and lively with people, she loves to talk, learn, and be complimented. She has a bit of a vain side but don’t ever bring it up or she will refuse it exists and probably attack you for assuming the worst of her. But she isn’t vain to the point of expecting a compliment all the time. She knows she is a farm girl and so can be rather insecure about her origins but usually hides it by making fun of herself and/or laughing it off. Annabelle can be a little mothering sometimes but she tries to hide it because it tends to get on peoples nerves. But having taken care of so many younger siblings and baby animals she just has a very intense mothering instinct. This is also one of her biggest flaws since she always wants to help those hurting and if she sees others not “playing nice” she is likely to be angered, she has quite a temper. Her anger is like a tidal wave it takes a while to rise up and build and then it will smash into whatever is in its path and leave destruction that can last for years. Don’t get her mad. She likes to dance and sing and is mediocre at both. Her favorite hobby however is reading, she LOVES to read because not only does it eliminate downtime and allow resting but it promotes learning!
Keywords [5 Max]: Stubborn, motherly, impulsive, fierce anger
History :
Annabelle was born and raised into a hard working farming family and the only girl to survive past infancy. Her mother was a well off woman who fell in love with the romantic idea of a quiet farm life and foolishly married a farmer only to regret it later. Annabelle was never close to her mother because of her mothers obvious disdain for farm life and her belief that she was now socially inferior. Annabelles mother did her best to have a baby girl and raise her in the “proper” way of life always hoping that if she had a daughter she could whisk her away and go live with her parents again. But alas every time the mother had a girl she was usually sickly and would die before reaching her first year. But when the mother finally did have a girl she was stuck with Annabelle. Needless to say Annabelle and her mother did not get along very well.
Annabelles whole life her mother hovered over her shoulders telling her to stand straight to speak nicely and practically smothering her with unwanted “motherly advice”. Annabelle harbored a deep resentment towards her mother but being her jolly self she always buried it and just ignored or avoided her mother mostly by doing more on the farm and getting closer to her father and 3 brothers. Annabelles mother sensed that somehow her daughter was becoming a (GODFORBID!!) farm-girl, inside and out and so her mother decided to go on a trip to visit her family with her daughter. Annabelle did NOT want to go and fought her mother with tooth and nail, but being young her mother ignored it and managed to convince Annabelles father that it would be good for her to see real society. Annabells father was a simple and kind man who wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. She could see nothing wrong with Annabelle visiting her grandparents since she had never seen them and as much as it pained him because he saw his daughter fighting to stay he had to agree with her mother and let her go on the trip.
Unbeknownst to Annabelle or her father Annabelle’s mother had made prior arrangements with a rich aunt to send her to a prominent school and be placed in the center of society, she would be going to Jaradin. But of course no one knew this just yet. Annabelle’s mother bought her new nice clothes and dresses and dolled her up and they both went to visit the family. Annabelle did her best to be good because her mother swore that if she acted as lady like as possible they would return to the farm and she would never have to go on a trip like this again. So Annabelle put on the best performance she could while loathing every second of it. Then right before their trip ended Annabelles mother and the grandparents got together and “presented” Annabelle with her surprise gift (the school trip). Annabelle was stunned, shocked, hurt, and angry all at once. She stood there in silence and just glared angrily at her mother as all of a sudden the whole trips purpose came crashing down upon her. Annabelles grandparents, bless their souls took her silence as happy shock and congratulated her on her school and left her to pack. But Annabelle knew it was her mother who had done this to her, her mother had just ripped her life apart in one fell swoop. This started a bitter fight between them especially since Annabelle knew she would not see the farm again for a long time. She fought she clawed and she hated her mother but her mother stood firm and shipped her off to school. As Annabelle got closer to school she could feel her old beloved life being ripped away, it was like her soul being torn into bits and that was when she felt a slight warmth and comforting presence appear. She thought at first that it was the memory of her father and clung to that warmth even though it only came once in a while.
