Intro:

In a small alcove in a particularly dark corner on the outskirts of the noble houses, the location was thought be be perfect as it was in a completely neutral part of the city, was what appeared to be a small but well-designed house carved roughly from stone. There was nothing that made this building stand out from the others, nothing that called out for attention, the only thing that made this structure different than the others was a small placard mounted on the front door stating the business of this "dwelling." The exterior, while being small, hide the true size and depth of what was inside; there were four levels, three of which were underground, housing, feeding, and for the training of mercenaries for sale to the highest bidder individually or as a whole for military purposes. The upper floor was reserved for both the kitchen and the office of the leader of this band, Mercenary General Orawan. Anyone, just by looking at her, would never guess the skill and power she possessed in her profession; she was slight, young, and lithe.. she was raised in a noble house and had about her the manner of nobility, SHE was the General and there was no disputing that. She lounged in a luxuriously stuffed chair in front of a blue Fae fire, reading over treaties, business proposals, and licenses.. there were quite a few families that were bartering for the service of her mercenaries, it was just a question as to which ones she'd be sending where and how much she'd charge for what. Minor skirmishes and assassinations were primarily on the menu.. it didn't seem to her as if anything exciting, such as a war between noble houses, was going to arrange itself within the next several weeks. She wrinkled her nose in disdain, wishing for more action.

Much has changed since his time spent in the Lloth city. Surrendering much of his personal possessions (even his sacred Mask), Pas Jhos was almost officially a new Drow. During his transition out of the city, the Shadow Dancer stumbled upon a small crew of misfits working as Mercenaries. This put a smile on the deadly Shadow Dancer as it brought up old memories long forgotten. Joining the crew and earning the rank of Captain, Pas continued to follow them to their new location deep in the decaying city of Au Shinduago.

Sitting on a chair with his boots propped up on a wooden table, the Drow with blue eyes whistled an old merry tune as he crossed his arms and thrown them from behind his head. The headquarters to the small Mercenary group was practical and less extravagant than the Qu'ellars he has worked at, but he enjoyed the atmosphere, and more importantly, the folks he worked with. With his sword sheathed and his cloak hanging on a coat stand, Pas whistled with little on his mind other than what their next job was going to be.

"Qu'ellars are always lookin' for trouble. Especially in Llothite cities." The Shadow Dancer muttered after pausing during his whistling. The thought caused him to sigh as he then continued on whistling, sure that soon one of the other crew members would confront him about his annoying habit.

Tossing aside the aid requests in utter disgust she rose from her chair, her expression almost a scowl as she walked the short distance to the liquor cabinet, retreiving an obsidian wine glass and an opaque lavander bottle, pouring herself a quick draught of the containing liquid and swirling it about in her glass. She toyed with the ridge of the glass, dragging softly a leather-clad finger across the spans.

She threw a glance at the two males in the room, lifting her wine to her lips, sipping thoughtfully at the dry liquid. "You know," she murmured thoughtfully, not quite but almost to herself, "it might be more profitable to subtly toy with the noble houses and cause trouble then to just sit here waiting for it to happen.."

just as the drow female finished speaking a dimentional door became aparent behind her and a limp looking bloodie elf-shaped figure stumbed out like a corpse still trying to move"playing mind games with nobles?how horrid,I must say I agree most strongly"the male voice said before vloos jess walked out of the portal in his black robes his hood pulled down"and I asure you the heart breaker will feed well on whomever you wish for her to"he smiled looking at the blood golem its fleshless face turning into an odd contortion of what might have been a smile or possibly an inovuntary spasm"or perhaps I shall go myself as a weapon master maybe?or even as the arch mage of this city?"

he looked at orowan "you know an'i orowan that would be a good idea why wait for trouble to start instead we can cause trouble that they would need us to help with" he jerked his head in pas jhos direction "with such a skilled assasin on our side shouldnt be too hard" he shrugged "and i can recreate most houses weapons because of my old blacksmith job so i could frame almost any house you wanted too"

"and let us not forget the drow and doll who will most likely be the ones doing the diry work shall we?"vloss jess reminded as he was a skilled alcmest and could easily transmutate his own appearence or that of the blood golem to any other appearence"or if we want to draw the attention of all the houses at once I have an idea to shed a little bit of light shall we say on our groups ability to help slay dangerouse foes even if they are not quite real"with that he gave an impish smile and turned his head towerd the blood golem"after all if we give a corpse new skin who says it must be black?"

Looking at the newcomer with amusement, Pas stopped whistling and sat back up, shrugging his shoulders to the comment. "Who said I'm 'talented'? I'm just your average foot soldier that's lucky." He replied with a nonchalant attitude in his voice. The Drow smiled and glanced over to his new employer, watching her retrieve some wine to drink. Pas gave a disgusted face before shrugging his shoulders at the comment about toying with the Nobles.

"We could, but that would mean getting a mole to start something. And for that, we'd have to plant a mole and yadda yadda yadda..." Pas raised a gloved hand as he made a wheel motion with each "yadda". A bored look played across his face as he spoke. "And if we were caught toying with them, well, that Goddess Lloth is not the most friendliest of gals." A grunt was emitted before a dimensional door suddenly opened and revealed another young Drow, one by the name of Vloos something. Pas wasn't too keen on remember names as he was on faces. Either way, the Drow regarded him with a shrug and turned his attention back to the empty space ahead of him.

A sigh escaped him as he heard the word "skilled assassin" in a sentence. Please tell me he isn't mentioning me as the 'skilled assassin'. The Drow in black thought as he crossed his arms and once more tittered on the hind legs of the chair again.

"I've said it once and I'll say it again, I'm not a 'skilled assassin'. As for starting trouble...we can afford to wait. Honestly, it doesn't take long for Houses to start s**t and when it does, we'll be the flies. At this very moment, I have a special friend on the inside of one of these joints. News is developing as we speak within one of the Houses in the Llothite city. It shouldn't be long before something happens."

The Shadow Dancer smiled as he glanced at the Alchemist with raised eyebrows. "While I might not be a wizard or anything of the like, I am quite familiar with golems and while as tempting it is to make an unstoppable force of golems, they have their setbacks. They cost materials. They have a tendency to move very slow, and when fighting Drows, that's not a good thing. Also, some golems, especially flesh and clay golems, have this little problem where if pushed too much, the elemental spirit within them breaks free of the charms and attacks their creator." The Drow grunted and shook his head at the thought. "I've seen it one too many times to want to be involved with golems. No thank you."

He sighed as he glanced over to his leader, the female enjoying her glass of wine. "But you are the leader, General. If you want us to toy with the Houses a bit, we can. I just suggest we use extreme caution." Shrugging his shoulders once more, Pas resumed whistling, his arms crossed over his chest as he closed his eyes for a moment, waiting for news from his mole.

"my dear friend I dont intend on raising an unstoppible army no sir the stress of controlling two golems at once is enough and I know a tale or two of arch mages killed by three my plan is to display and only display images that no drow would much welcome in their home"the mage gave a small laugh as he took out his dueling cane drew the blade and used it to make a small alcemist circle around the golem before reciting an anchient chant at which the muscle tissue of the golem shifted turning into white flesh and taking proper shape even to the measure of growing golden locks of hair"nothing would make a bigger show then light elves invading the underdark and a few scouts or possible comacosies when well placed could be just the thing to bring more chaos to this city then the undergaia has seen in ages"he gave a small laugh and waved his hand at the golem at which point it dropped lifelessly to the floor"and as for preasure I can dismiss the spirit the moment a well placed blow hits after all from ignorent raiding partys and lack of contact otherwise most of our kin believe our surface fairing cusians to be weak"
PostPosted: Sat Sep 05, 2009 3:02 pm

Pas shook his head to the spell caster's idea as he heard the thud of the lifeless being fall to the floor. "You underestimate the wizards of the UnderGaia. They have ways to finding out the truth of the matter. Like I said, Lloth is not a friendly gal. Though she may welcome the chaos it brings, she'll go ecstatic over the idea of eating our souls even more once we are found out and sacrificed to her." The Drow said with aloofness. He'd know. He's worked for three Lloth Houses. Shaking his head again, Pas simply glanced over to the General of the mercenary group and shrugged his shoulder.

"How about we do this if you want to start trouble. We'll send an emissary to the Fourth House and offer our service to raise them a rank. No one pays better than a House being able to rise in a rank. Anywho, we offer our service to rise their ranks and they pay for all our expenses, including building material for your golems. Those golems will play an important role in this little plot. Of course, our hiring will be in total confidence and no one other than those here will know about it. No one."

It was then a devious smile played across the Shadow Dancer's young face as he crossed his arms over his chest. "From there, we go to the Third House and persuade them to hire us on as extra arms and attack the Second House. Once more, no one must know of our dealings with this House as well. There, we will have them pay us as well while we build them this magnificent army to destroy the Second House. However, little do they know the army of Golem soldiers is all a trick. We do the attack under the banner of the Third House. We fail in our attack and have our Golems killed or what have you while they are wearing the Third House insignia. This will cause suspicion of a failed coup onto the Third House, which according to Lloth laws, is a big no no. The Third House will be punished by losing favor of Lloth and with our contract with Fourth House and inside information on the Third House, we lead the charge and destroy the Third House."

Pas then broke into a laugh as he shook his head. "We get paid, have some fun, AND gain a valuable ally in the Lloth city. Whatcha think, General?"

"I think your not listening about my comment of limitation unless you rise an army of mages at least half the size of the golems you intend to summon you will find our band mage less and an army of out of controll golems and wraiths running rampent and without mages the odds of banishing them are vary unlikely theirfore we need to in the event of golem usage have it be privet assassination plans after all golems however strong are not too stealthy after their main objective is compleat so we can attack the matron mother of the secount house in the insignia of the fourth house and a personal object of one of the nobles of the secount house theirfore making it look like a cue between that noble and the third house the third house and that noble will be slaughtered so then the secount house is more unstable and the fourth house will feel confident to enlist our aid again in removing the secount and making them the new secount and hence a even more powerful ally to our group"the mage smerked as he dismissed the dead golems body and it melted into a pile of blood"and from the masacere alone I will have enough material to drown the city if need be"he grinned as he pulled out a black rose from his robes and threw it at the blood pool the stem sinking into the ground and absorbing all the crimson fluid before vloss jess retrieved it"this rose is a miniture portal to a blood pit containing the blood of every creature drow or not I have ever killed or ever found killed recently its contents can in a sealed noble house drown every creature within in a matter of moments so I advise you to not let anything bleed without my presence"with that small explanation/request vloss jess put the rose back in the folds of his robes and turned to the leader of the mercenary group"but no matter what our course of action we can do nothing without your command"

Pas chuckled as he raised a hand to wave the wizard's comment of an army of wizards. "And we shall, using the Third House's resources." The man said, smiling as he studied the spell caster a bit. "As for attackin' the Second House, while tempting, I'm going to have to object. We don't want to get too carried away and also, I've got my mole there. When things are ripe, then perhaps we could go, but first, we need to make a name for ourselves and taking down the Third House is the way to go." He confidently nodded before stealing a glance at their commander.

"Either way, you're gonna have to wait on collectin' your massacre. I'm not in the mood for bloodlust killin's." Pas muttered as he let his head fall back and his eyes look up at the ceiling for answers. He didn't trust the wizard. Something about the Drow seemed...off. Then again, Pas didn't trust many spell casters and the one he did ended up blowing himself up in one crazy experiment. This caused Pas to suddenly chuckle. "Crazy Set."

"I suppose that my pit is full enough for the time being and at the vary least we should get our first job before we go on for an attempt to break the power line up of the city through eaither all out warfare or simple ploys"vloss jess did not trust anyone but the negativity and realism of this drow elf was somewhat refreshing from the normal negative and phycoticly power hungery dark elves of the undergaia especially the matron mothers how they lusted for the pleasure of the spider queen and with it power at all costs made the practiced arcanest and alcemest somewhat found of this ones realism esspecially after being tested through offers of easy riches and great conquest"but as I said we cant do a thing without the proper command and proper contract"

Her gaze remained completely nuetral as she took in the interactions of her underlings. She removed a small dagger from her belt and idly toyed with the edge along the underside of her fingernails, removing any amount of excess dirt that may have built up. She didn't nessasarily think it was such a good idea to toy with the noble without a good plan, or at all for that matter, but at least Lloth would smile upon their efforts to cause chaos amoung the ranks.. not that Lloth favored her anyways, she didn't serve the dark Queen.

Orawan chewed her lip thoughtfully, pondering the possible options, attempting to come up with a solid plan and weighing the options and outcomes of such a move. She was the queen in the chess game and it was her move. Turning to her captain she tilted her head slightly to the side, trying to silently catch his attention.

vloss jess caught the subtle movement quickly enough to ignore it before even giving a half knowing smile he instead opened a portal of teleportation"if you'll excuse me I have a prior engagement I must attend to"he lied casually and went through the portal to reappear just outside his arcan blood pit he figured as he had nothing to do he might as well refresh the binding of blood so that it would not interfere again until three more months time had passed so he worked slowly and carefully in his magics to give the leader an ounce more privecy and to avoid the event of having to refresh the binding at a pivotal time he only had one week but still its best to do things when their is no emergency then delay and loose more blood in the heat of battle
