-He was MISERABLE. Having spent an entire young lifetime surrounded in girls... mothers, sisters.. Keshet was more than distraught with his time with the Parastars. He'd known the time would come... had known that he would soon be old enough to be shipped off to live with all the other males, strangers in his eyes.. But this was worse. He wasn't even allowed to visit... talk to.. SEE his entire family. His heart ached with every passing day, praying and wishing his mane and body would just grow faster.

Today he was by himself, curled in the shade of the jungle trees as tears clung to his eyes. He'd always been an opptimistic sort.. but he didn't know if he could take it much longer. This was too much.-

-He felt it... a sharp sting in his chest. The stinging feeling of someone who was desperately in need of his help.. or some sort of pleasure or comfort. It'd been strong enough to jolt him in his step, pausing to raise his head in direction of the tug. It was so strong.. it must be close.

Lifting himself to the air Lim followed the invisable tug quickly, becoming surprised the further and further away he went. His surprise however died as a familar landscape came into sight. Ahhh... someone of his blood needed him then? Obviously his task had been sucessful. He wondered how many children he'd helped gift the lioness' with.

Following the tug until he found the source, he settled to the ground gently, admiring the soft signs of himself in the son that lay before him. His voice lifted softly, soothingly.- "Are you alright young one?"

-Keshet lifted his head gently, peering through the strands of purple mane that dangled before his eyes. Had one of the other parastars come? There had been a few nice ones... he wasn't to proud to cry in front of others.

The sight before him was a strange one though... A brillant purple... complex jewelry.. and a strange set of feathers laying over his back. Shifting a little to inspect the figure more closely, he sniffled softly.- "I miss my family."

-Stepping closer still, he settled his bottom on the ground, tail wrapping around him, his expression quizical.- "Ohhh, did they go somewhere?"

"You... aren't from around here.. are you?" -His voice drawled, eyes narrowing more curiously at the strange figure.- "When males and females of this pride are of age they seperate for special training. They aren't allowed to come back together until they are adults." -He explained plainly, repeating the words his mothers had given him upon shipping him off for his duty.-

"All of my siblings are sisters though... So they are together and I am alone." -THe very words brought moisture to his eyes again, and he lifted a paw to cover them.-

"No.. just visiting. I've been by here a time or two." -It was a strange tradition... but then.. Lim knew nothing of the pride's traditions at all... not even the view on men. Shrugging it off as one of many strange thoughts that prides often had, he stepped up once more, moving closer as the young one became upset again.

Shhhhh.... he hushed the child softly, feathers rustling softly.- "That is unfortunate... but you will grow faster then you think. Mortals grow quickly like wildflowers. Soon enough you will see them."

"In the meantime though.. I'd be happy to keep you company for a little while? I know I'm a stranger.. but I'm pretty good at playing and cheering people up." -He smiled brightly, as if maybe the gleam of his teeth could lift the child's spirt.-

-That was... strange. Very few rogues wandered their lands.. ecspecially so far in as to where the Parastars stayed.. and even then.. most rogues that came were females. Had he EVER seen a rogue male wander in? Curious.

His mind was so twisted in the thought, that he didn't even pick up on the word 'mortal', the subtle hint to the purple one's identity.

Pushing himself up from the ground, to sit like the other male did, he nodded a little hesitantly. Maybe he could keep his mind off his sisters for a little..- "What would you like to do?" -Keshet asked softly.-

"Wellll..." -He said thoughtfully, pondering over the options.- "We could play tag... or a guessing game.. or you could tell me about your family, or I could tell you about the world outside."

"If there is water about, it's often nice to play in the water too."

-He didn't really feel like tag... or simply talking. Lifting himself to stand, shaking his half mane lightly, he responded softly.- "I like the water... Maybe we can play there?"

"My name is Keshet by the way."

"Limbuko." -He offered with a friendly nod, storing away the name of his son in his head. He wondered how many daughters there were here?

Shaking his mane to mirror the younger one, he stood too, falling alongside Keshet with a reassuring smile.- "Lead the way then."

-Keshet did as he was told, turning his paws to lead to the nearest of the water sources he knew of. The young one knew his pridelands rather well, but the closest one was still a bit away.

Clearing his throat softly, to break the silence, he spoke softly.- "I like your jewelry.."

"Thanks" -He grinned, glancing down at his bangles softly. They were simple geometric shapes, and yet still intricate, the silver gleaming in the sunlight that shimmered through the trees. Lim could hardly recall where he'd gotten them, but he wouldn't trade them for anothers.

Perhaps the young one would like some adornations? That'd be a fairly simple wish to grant.- "Would you like some of your own?"

"Hmm... that might be nice." -He stated thoughtfully, admitting with the first hints of a soft smile.- "I don't know what kind I would want though."

-His tail swished as he imagined different sorts of bracelets and necklaces on himself. Or flowers on his head much like the girls sometimes had. His grin grew wider, and his ears perked as the scent of water grew stronger.

Sliding through the scrubs, he paused on the other side, presenting the scene as Lim stepped in behind him.- "Here we are."

-The god stepped through the brush, stopping behind his son to take in the scene. It wasn't a huge wateringhole, but it was more than big enough for them to play in. Admiring the scene, while at the same time admiring the colors on the pelt before him. Such a strange and varied array, almost like a rainbow of pastel. Beautiful.-

"So, what would you like to play in the water?"

-It was strange to have so many choices.. but not unpleasant, thinking for a moment he realized he wasn't really in the mood to be physical. Making his way to the shore, he dipped his paw, asking apologetically.- "I kinda would just like to relax in the water... is that okay?"

"Of course" -He laughed softly, more than happy with the suggestion, bracing the distance in a few wide steps. Lim didn't stop however, making his way all the way into the water, before plopping down, dissapearing beneath the surface.-

-Keshet grinned again softly, making his way into the water as well. Settling his body onto the ground so that the water almost covered his, he turned to try and find Limbuko, watching the surface curiously.-

-The surface broke, god's head rising from the water as he sucked in air, shaking his mane as he sent a shower of sparkling water from himself. Silver eyes searching for Keshet, he grinned through his drippy half mane, laughing to himself. Oh how he loved the cool feel of water on a warm day.-

-His ears pinned back in surprise as the sound and sight interupted his line of vision, and after a second, he began to laugh.

Man did he look silly! The laugh rang through his chest, an pleasant ache touching him. It'd been far too long since he'd laughed. Perhaps the stranger had been right, perhaps it wouldn't be too long until he could see his family.. his friends again.-

-Lim's smile grew as he felt the soft feeling of pleasure beginning to seap from his secret son, feeling a relief that often accompanied his successful endevours. Beneath the water his tail swayed, and softly he settled his body in comfortably. It would be easier than he'd thought to cheer this one up. It was surprising how often simple attention and affection affected a creature. Though in a way he could understand.. he hardly liked being alone or ignored.

Luckily for Keshet he had all day to waste away in the water. Perhaps later he'd even make good on the mention of jewelry, but for today he'd just spend time with the teen, and keep him company until he was ready to return 'home'.

Chattering the day away softly, until they felt throughly soaked, and the air began to cool around them Lim pondered over the idea of coming back to meet some of his daughters. Whether or not he did... he was glad he got the oppurtunity to meet another of his sons. To learn that his task long ago had been a success.-
