As some of you may have noticed, there is a significantly lesser amount of threads in this, the Main Forum (which even I forget to check quite often). I figured a good cleaning out of old threads that no one uses anymore was in order. Not to worry, a good deal of them have simply been moved to the archives subforum, which is accessible to anyone.
I'm going to be cleaning out many of the old threads from the roleplay subforum as well- not to worry, though, the only home threads I am going to move are those belonging to inactive roleplayers- the home threads of moderators and active roleplayers will remain where they are.
Also, uh... any ideas on how to make this guild suck less? Our hosts are getting less and less active, and thus we're losing customers so easily.... I would like to take this moment to encourage any customers who cannot immediately gain the attention of a host to have their character introduce themselves to a fellow customer, for it is the friendships within the host club that are really the most fun, not just the hosting itself.

Wow, Alcy-san. You did quite the cleaning. But it is much appreciated, as the guild has definitely needed it.
I think the only way for us to--as you put it--"suck" less is for the hosts to be more active, and us to host events more often. Or maybe even advertise for more people outside of the guild.
Of course... we'll need to stress our literacy to those that want to join. Recently I've noticed we've been getting quite a lot of join requests that do not have proper spelling, punctuation or grammar.
Otherwise, that is all I could think of.

Yeah, we definitely need to figure out a way to reformat the front page in a way that emphasizes both literacy and good strong character development. SUGGESTIONS, ANYONE?
I've noticed a problem we seem to have with the entry forms is that people seem to not know what to do for their rp sample. Maybe we should put up something for applicants to react to?
Hmmm... mayhaps a CONTEST IS IN ORDER! We could be all "HEY, ALL 6 OF OUR ACTIVE MEMBERS, REDESIGN OUR FRONT PAGE AND YOU'LL WIN UH SOMETHING.
I'm all for increased sexiness, of course. ;D
Buuuuut we do need to keep it within Gaia TOS.
... Another topic of note, should we start banning the obviously inactive guild members? I would have done it long ago, but that member count is the only thing keeping our guild high on the ouran search list.

Gaia in general is kind of...dying in terms of threads and actual discussions. I remember two years ago, there were all these debate thread, and now they've all lessened. Most people nowadays play games, buy and sell, etc. I think that's also why...
Increased sexiness would help if we actually had the sexy people available...speaking of which, which hosts are available?

Yeah, true, the source of the suck in this guild is Gaia more than anything else... Even as we get older, the average age of the general userbase stays the same. Is userbase a word?
Lessee, we still have Twins, Kyouya, and Tamaki... although everyone's schedule seems rather erratic lately, even the customers, I dunno what to do... we might have to establish a *one post per day* rule type of thingy, at least for the hosts... maybe an in character chat thread could also keep people active, like just a more casual place where people could openly be obnoxious and in character and rant about whatever things. In the main forum maybe.

Userbase is a word, no worries about making it up Alcy.
A one post for day is generally what I tell all new hosts when we recruit them.
But so far, it's tough to keep any of the hosts completely active.
Are you sure the twins have been active?
I've only been encountering Hikaru recently.
And we still need a Honey and a Mori...

Yeah, we really do need a Hunny and Mori.... Eh, someone'll work on it eventually.
Yeah, Kaoru's still alive, he's just waiting for Sarah to post in the guild so he can post as both Kaoru and Fai. Or something.
... Net time he's online I'll go ahead and beat him until he posts.

Maybe we just need a constant recruit thread out in the regular forums.
And then we continue to RP in here.
That way we can recruit new roleplayers, and possibly a Honey and a Mori.
It would keep us as hosts more active in the guild and in recruiting.

No Haruhi, either. But then, Haruhi's a harder RP to do.
And I'm insulting Hikaru and Kaoru (and their mom) over there...they just seem to not be able to pick it up.

I was inactive, because I got distracted by a bunch of other events and this guild wasn't so active. Where's Nekozawa? stressed I edited my characters to be interested in the Black Magic Club and I don't see a Nekozawa anywhere. But yes, I am still alive. I posted, by the way. evil Do my characters need to be loud and obnoxious to be noticed? ninja

Your characters need to talk to someone. I mean, it's just rude for the hosts to drop their current customers to talk to new ones. I suggest talking to Kyouya and Kaggy, that'll be fun and I haven't seen him actually host someone in a bit.

Normally I am tending to my Host duties as Vice President, Alcy. It would of course make sense for me to do so since Tamaki is.... ahem, not so adept at them. Of course she is welcome to join us.

Hmm... well, you HAVE been with the club pretty much as long as I have, you joining me as a hostess would make sense at this point, really. Except that her personality is totally the opposite of anything that would actually be helpful toward the club. Unless some guy is a Masochist.
