administration -- Franz is one of the main boys in line for one of the two Head Boy positions in senior year, and for a reason: whenever there's a job that requires organising people, getting volunteers, taking down names, getting addresses or handing out notices, Franz is there. He knows how to work all the buttons on the copy machine. He's office runner, school council minute-taker, part-time librarian. He's on the Hillworth Fundraiser Committee. He's on the Hillworth Cultural Committee. If there is a committee, he is on it.
the Hillworth Sound -- brutally rejected from the Hillworth newspaper on account of "in-house politics" (read: people who think Franz is unwieldy and wild-eyed), Franz has started up his own anonymous gossip-rag that's 'published' monthly. It's only been in circulation three months and pretty much everyone knows Franz runs it, but until the school shuts him down it's a paean to bad journalism and clip-art announcing school conspiracies, blurry interviews with Crystal Academy girls, radical political diatribes and Franz's opinion column. It's popular amongst a certain set.
school spirit -- Franz genuinely believes in school spirit. Franz believes in pep rallies. Franz is a cheerleader. Franz seriously believes in school spirit: it is not a topic for lols, gentlemen.
setting fires -- there's a reason Franz got sent to Hillworth from his formerly ritzy school out of town. Franz is working with Franz's counsellor to make sure that Franz no longer sets fires, and Franz's anti-psychotics have really been working out well lately, seriously.

Virtues:
efficient -- if you need something done, Franz will do it. He'll do it speedily, cheerfully and without complaint, and generally pretty well. He can take large amounts of boredom, likes micromanaging, and has a little checklist in his personal organiser that he will check off. Franz doesn't consider this uncool in the least. Lead a workshop (like a boss), remember birthdays (like a boss), direct workflow (like a boss).
dynamic -- Franz is a single, furious cell of energy, an object in constant motion, tireless. He runs on energy drinks and cold fusion.
civically-minded -- Franz genuinely believes that people should be working for the betterment of the group as a whole, that people as a group are basically good and want to do stuff for other people. It is only this optimism that allows him to constantly look for volunteers for Hillworth projects, you know, awesome projects like "Collect Rubbish Day" or "Weed The Thorny Scrub Day." It's an optimism especially needed when Hillworth IS such a dreary, miserable school who are only allowed to take regimented pride in their sports days, where "Weed The Thorny Scrub Day" IS a genuine day (weed harder, boys). That thorny scrub isn't going to weed itself, guys.
courteous -- Franz may be mildly insane, slightly pushy, vaguely embarrassing and faintly nosy, but he's decent. He's cool with it. He keeps his cool, is a nice guy without being servile, remembers your name or at least an amalgam of your name, treats you with respec' even if you are the noobiest noob who ever got sent to Hillworth.
Flaws:
cloud cuckoolander -- Franz is marching to the beat of a different drum. Off in space. Franz is, really, kind of crazy; he's a space cadet of baffling superstitions, behaviours and beliefs, just the wrong side of normal, which is probably par for the course for anyone who enjoys school administration and being a treasurer of anything. He's a conspiracy theorist who is deeply suspicious of authority anywhere, everywhere, the kind of guy who can fold a dollar bill and show you the Illuminati sign.
completely self-absorbed -- Franz believes he shapes the world a little too much. Franz believes that without Franz, the entire world would come crashing down into an asymmetrical, chaotic anarchy, that without Franz the entire school would sink into a school-spiritless depression and they would lose all the games, that as tambourinist for the school band he is really achieving something, that the Hillworth Sound is truly a dagger thrust to the system. Franz has an unrealistic view of Franz's own place in the world.
completely nosy -- HE JUST WANTS AN INTERVIEW, SERIOUSLY, IT'LL TAKE NO TIME AT ALL, HOW ABOUT A FEW COMMENTS THEN, WHAT'S YOUR MIDDLE NAME, YOU GOT ANY FAMILY AT HOME? PETS? MAGAZINES?
no sense of personal shame -- Franz is the tambourinist. Franz is a cheerleader. Franz gets up first at karaoke. That's Franz.
Physical Description:
Hair: Choppy, slightly untidy honey-blonde gelled away from his face.
Eyes: Orange-gold.
Face: Pointy -- definite angles, high forehead, pointy nose.
Body: Lanky, 5'7", has broader shoulders and runs more towards upper-body strength -- hasn't had a real growth spurt yet, either.
Fashion: When Franz is not wearing the uniform Franz is actually wearing surprisingly boring t-shirts, button-up shirts and jeans.
