How many people are vegetarians here? How long have you been one? And why did you decide to?
As for myself, I decided to be a vegetarian when I was 9. I decided to because I loved animals and didn't like the concept of eating them.

I've been a vegematarian for 3 months now, and on Thanksgiving my boyfriend's dad put sausage in the stuffing and told me there wasn't any meat in it. I had 2 servings!!! crying I felt so sick afterwards...

My mother is a vegetarian, so I'm used to eating/enjoy vegetarian foods. I myself don't eat pork, beef, lamb, lobster...a lot of different meats. I also don't eat any type of meat hot dog, because of the animals they came from and the health issues involved. I like the concept of vegetarianism, but I don't think I'm cut out for it. I decide which meats I eat depending on the animal it came from. I strongly disagree with the way larger animals like cattle and pigs are killed, so I don't eat them. I also hate the way lobsters and some other seafood are boiled alive, so I don't eat them. As for cutting out meat entirely, it's a difficult subject. After all, carnivorous or omnivorous animals eat other animals all the time, and they don't always kill in a humane way. We ourselves are designed to be omnivores. Sometimes I think I should be vegetarian, but I don't know.

I hold grudges well, and that would be quite a good reason to hold one. mad
