“Go away,” Kinyago growled not bothering to even give the cheeton a second glance. He just made her so angry! She couldn’t even deal with it at this point. It was hard to get under the green leopon’s skin, to shatter her delicately held together mask that she worked oh-so hard to uphold. But he had done it, she wasn’t sure how but the scum-bag hybrid had managed to do it.
And now, now he had the ******** nerve to try and get back on her good side. Well she’d be damned if she let that very thing happen. If he thought that by coming back around with a simple ‘I’m sorry’ would fix things he was so wrong.
She was going to kill him if he didn’t leave her alone. “I suggest that you leave me alone Haribika,” she told him continuing to storm off. “Or else you’ll regret it.”
Haribika was surprised by how harsh her reaction to him was. He had expected her to be angry, he couldn’t blame her. He had been so foolish after all, he had cheated on her but he couldn’t help it.
He had always been rough around the corners and had honestly he never felt about any girl he’d ever fooled around with before but Kinyago was different. She was so pretty and she acted like she didn’t give a rat’s a** about what other people thought because she knew she was perfect.
And she was, he couldn’t deny that. Even in her anger she was perfection, to him. He hated to admit it but he was completely and utterly captured by her which was the very reason he couldn’t leave her alone.
“Come on Kinny,” he purred racing to catch up with her. “You know you don’t mean that.”
It was at that point she stopped, whirled around and got right in his face. “Don’t ever ******** call me that again,” she snapped at him, her eyes narrowed into a glare. “You do not have the right to even be speaking to me right now.”
She was so pissed at him, he knew that she had let down a wall for him. That she had let him into her inner circle and he had gone around and slept around behind her back! She had thought there had been something between them, obviously she had been wrong.
But if she had been wrong...then why did her chest hurt so bad.
“If you think I’ll just ******** forgive you then you are dead wrong.”
Haribika’s eyes went wide as she started to yell at him, breath catching in his throat. He didn’t realize just how angry she was. She had been upset with him before but this was something completely different than before. She was really, really angry.
His ears flattened against his skull as he shrunk back, tail between his legs, frowning. “Kin-kinyago...I...” He sighed shaking his head. “I’m sorry, I know you don’t think that’s enough but...”
He didn’t know what to say, or do for that matter he was lost. “I...I don’t know what to do, how to fix things,” he paused dropping his gaze to the ground. “What I do know is that I can’t get you off my mind.”
She snorted and shook her head bitterly. “Liar,” she hissed. “That’s ******** bullshit and you know it Haribika.”
He winced at the way she said his name. She had used his full name twice, since they started to spend so much time together she called him Hari.
“I don’t believe that you really believe that,” she sighed. “If you did then you wouldn’t have gone and done what you did.”
“What cheat on you without really cheating on you?” He spat back at her. They weren’t dating or mates by any means so she shouldn’t be so goddamn pissed. “We’re not a couple Kinyago, remember?” He shook his head disgusted. “By your rules actually. You said nothing more than friends, friends with benefits. You never said I couldn’t see other people.” He sneered. “You brought this on yourself.”
“I would be quiet if I were you,” She warned, eyes narrowed into slits. “Because when I am angry, really angry you would not like to be on the receiving end,” she warned forcing herself to start walking once more. “I don’t have the time or the patience for this or you right now, so if you are wise you will leave me alone.”
“I can’t,” he replied shrugging. “You’re everywhere to me and I don’t understand why.” He was so damn frustrated by the entire thing. Ugh! “I think I love you...”
His words made her freeze and a shiver ran down her spine. Did he say what she thought he just said. He loved her? They hadn’t been together long yet she knew she liked him, a lot, otherwise she wouldn’t be so ticked off right now. “Hari...” she mumbled ears flattening against her head.
“You’re different from every girl I’ve ever met before,” he admitted smiling sheepishly at her. “I love you.”
She started to tear up, for perhaps the first time in her life(perfect girls don’t cry after all), as she took a few steps toward him. “Hari I love you too...” she whispered as tears rolled down her cheeks. “But I can’t trust you. I’m sorry. I won’t be played around,” she told him backing up.
She couldn’t do this, not now.
“Kinyago,” Haribkia started brows knitting together as he stepped forward. “I can’t promise anything now but I’ll try. I’ll try for you.” He hoped she could be swayed. He couldn’t help it, being a playboy was all he had ever known. He never thought that he would find a girl that he was willing to stay with. “Give me time.” He shook his head. “No give me a chance. For me, for you...for us.”
She sighed closing the distance between them and pressing her cheek into the crook of his neck. “Fine,” she sighed nuzzling him. “You may not be perfect but you’re mine.”
“And that’s all that matters,” he finished forward nosing her neck. “I love you.”
“I know.”
