Kasen was wearing his usual black hood that hid his face as he looked around to see an area that was familiar. Kasen grinned at how far Zaine has gone ,"The elementalist, eh?" Kasen chuckled at the sound of Zaine's name and how far has grown. Kasen stood there rather than leaning or waiting on anything and crossed his arms. His zanpakuto lied by his waist, however there was something different as there were now two blades, his zanpakuto and another sword Kasen had gained from Kiba. "Now then, where is young Zaine?" Kasen asked himself as he stood there with the wind flapping through his clothing and hood creating a whipping sound that his clothing created.

"I know, its not the nickname I would have chosen either but it is sticking to me so I see that it is bound to be permenant." Zaine's voice said dryly, a hint a laughter behind the words. "And I am right here, or have you lost your sight since the little problem with Castor?" he chuckled and stood from his place in the long grasses.

Kasen chuckled ,"Well, I heard you got that name from a certain person that I know, but that does not matter... And was that a joke Zaine?" Kasen said as he shunpo behind Zaine with his sheathed zanpakuto over his neck and pulled it right as if in a slitting strike, however this was only a dark joke as Kasen shunpo away facing Zaine. "Now I believe its your turn to start this match, otherwise I'll have to do the honors." Kasen placed his zanpakuto by his waist and waited as usual.

Zaine grinned as Kasen indulged himself in the joke he had made, "Why yes it was." he said impishly and looked at the sky as if thinking about somthing important. "Are you planning to go wolfy again?" he asked with a smile.

Kasen grinned and simply said ,"Go wolfy? Maybe, if things get interesting." Kasen said as he remembered last time they fought he didn't unleash shikai, but went berserk without thinking and punished himself for doing it. "I don't use Kaen, unless if it is absolutely necessary." Kasen looked at the sky then the ground and simply stated ,"Well now, are you ready, or shall we converse a bit more?"

In response Zaine threw his cloak off, exposing the scars that the spirits had given him, before the coat touched the ground Zaine was in Kasen's face, launching a kick at his ribcage.

Before Zaine could touch Kasen, he had jumped up with his hood thrown off and moved his body to flip upward and kick down on Zaine's shoulders. "Looks like the seriousness begins, Zaine." Kasen said as he was getting closer to Zaine's shoulders. Kasen lost his grin as he was now giving a slight scowl at Zaine, but he couldn't see as both were facing opposite directions at the moment.

Zaine grinned, "You know it my friend." he said just as Kasen jumped. "Heh, no chance." he said and continued his dash, sliding beneath Kasen and avoiding his attack, "Toobei reikon!" he exclaimed as he twisted to face the still aerial Kasen, launching the small reiatsu needles at him in waves.

Kasen sighed as the usual needles came at Kasen who was facing the opposite direction and had to act quickly. Kasen took out his sheath and spun the sheathed blade at the needles while trying to land. "Toobei Reikon, did you think I would forget that technique? Let me guess, the moment I strike, you're going to use Myakuhaku Hanshou?" Kasen said as he remembered Zaine's attack and defense quite well since they were a bit of a bother to him last time. "The only other person who used a defence like that was..." Kasen thought as he started gathering reiatsu into his hand. "The world darkens, but no matter what, light lives in flames, but darkness lies in chaos, I create Kaosuyu!" Kasen muttered the chant under his breath and created an arrow, however this was an arrow of darkness that represented Kasen himself and his zanpakuto spirit. "Darken!" Kasen said as he pierced the ground with the arrow which was 5 inches long and had a sharp point which caused a darkness-like fog that enveloped them and made sure no light entered. No reiatsu sensing, no sound, no sight, one must be of luck to find the other.

Zaine chuckled, "Do you expect me to be that predictable?" he asked dryly, "I see you learned a new trick though." he said interestly as the darkness surrounded him, cutting him off from the world around him. "Seems like we are playing blind man's bluff my friend." he muttered to himself, "I'll wait and see if you can find me."

Kasen grinned in his world of darkness that he created and started forming something in his hand once more made of reiatsu. "Kasen, the piercing flames..." Kasen said as he couldn't see, but feel his arrow being created as he grabbed his zanpakuto and felt around for the blade and stuck the arrow on it. Kasen brought the sword back and had to figure out the angle of which he remembered Zaine's position. "32 degrees upward, at an impact of a diameter of 10 feets..." Kasen muttered as he swung upward hopefully correctly as the arrow pierced the darkness which fell down and created a deadly explosion, however Kasen didn't know if it hits him or not.

Zaine had grown impatient and decided that he would have to find Kasen first, so he turned 180 degrees and ran in that direction. "Son of a bi-" he cursed as he was hit with the edge of the explosion, sending him flying a few feet until he skidded to a stop. "Ok now Im excited." Zaine said with a grin, and began to run in the direction that the explosion came from. The direction in which Kasen had been in when he fired the attack.

What Zaine didn't know, was that the arrow was fired upward and struck Zaine in the opposite direction than he assumed. "Running nowhere won't help..." Kasen to notice the darkness was beginning to thin out as the darkness field was weaker without its shikai form helping it. Kasen just stood there rather than running about as he knew running in darkness would not help.

"Hmm seems that this darkenss isn't that long lasting, interesting." Zaine said with a chuckle, "I don't seem to be going anywhere so I may as well wait for the darkness to wear off." he thought to himself, and ceased running, finally slowing to an easy walk.
