Lind yanked the apron off with an irritated mumble, hastily wrapping it up and stuffing it under his arm. Wasn't quite getting enough hours and pay from working at the garage, soooo...second job it was. And it figures that it would be the ubiquitous teen job, waiting tables. Which was wonderful. Really. Best job ever.
...Well, at least the tips were good. The rest of it...not so much. But it wasn't for very long.
Hopefully. His car had broken down (again), and while he did have enough money to get the parts that he needed (and could install them himself), he still needed to save up so he could move out. Which, of course, brought on a whole new slew of problems at home, but that was neither here nor there.
He stopped in his steps with another mumble, fishing around in his pockets until he found a rubber band and scraping his hair back into a ponytail. Ah well, one step at a time.

Aodh did not like leaving the angel at home alone. He wasn't certain just what could possibly happen to it, but he still felt uneasy. It didn't walk or speak, and it certainly had no need to escape.
Either way, it made him nervous.
He rode his bike down the road for a while, heading for the nearest organic supermarket, when a horn blared behind him and caused him to swerve up onto the sidewalk. He didn't see the curious-looking boy with the ponytail as he lifted a fist and shouted at the driver.
"OH, GO BOIL YER HEAD!"
When he turned forward again, he was less than a foot away from the boy.
"Woah, woah!" he yelped, as if that would somehow help. He swerved sharply to one side and nearly ran into a storefront, stopping himself just in time with a foot. He stumbled a bit as he climbed off the bike, fairly certain he'd twisted his ankle in some terribly unnatural way.
"Sorry, sorry! Are you okay?!"

He wasn't quite sure if he was just used to the sounds of irate drivers, or it he was just really tired and out of it, or a combination of both. Either way, it resulted in him not really paying attention to the car horn, and only vaguely registering the shouting. Head boiling? Doesn't sound like it would be too pleasant...
....oh wait.
It wasn't quite enough time to react, sadly, as he attempted to jerk out of the way of the oncoming bicycle and man, though the side effects weren't quite as severe as they could. He ended up with a handlebar jammed into his stomach, and the wheels and a pedal scraping against his shins as the man careened past him before coming to a sudden stop.
The apron fell from under his arm to the street where it lay unnoticed as he doubled over slightly in an attempt to regain his breath. "Fine," he managed, wheezing slightly. He glanced down at his leg, wrinkling his nose at the new hole in them, though the fortunately placed patch of scales kept his actual leg unharmed. "The hell was that about?"

"I got run off the road," Aodh said, just a wee bit humiliated. Leave it to him to run somebody over with his new bike. Good god, it was no wonder he went through so many of these things!
"I wasn't paying so much attention. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."
Living on Gaia, he had seen all sorts of wings and claws and strange, unnatural colors. Because of this, he wasn't terribly bothered by the patch of scales that had been revealed; in fact, he was glad it was there to prevent bleeding and a possibly lawsuit.

Lind made a 'tsk'ing sound, scuffing the ground with a toe. "People around here can't drive worth s**t," he said with a shrug as a means of an answer. Ah well, wasn't like anything got broken. Aside from the pants, but hey, those would be relatively easy to fix.
Though, the man did seem to be a bit upset over it, so he offered an " 'S alright," with another shrug in the hope to assure him. Oooh, Gaia was a strange place indeed, though he couldn't really say too much about that, seeing as he was adding to the strangeness himself. What with the wings and the scales and all.
Plus they were kinda shiny. Which was odd, he'd give him that.

Aodh nodded and brushed himself off, limping slightly as he went to get his bike. This boy reminded him of his angel, although at this point anything with wings did.
"I feel jus' awful. The name's Aodh. You look like you just got out of word, can I get you a pop or somethin'?"
Unfortunately, the offer was somewhat selfish. He wanted to talk to the boy, to get the feel for the life of a person with wings. Perhaps he could even learn something about his angel!

Lind looked at the man quizzically as he bent down to retrieve the apron, shoving it messily back into a bundle and shoving it under his arm again. "Uhm...Lind," he responded absently, not quite sure how to react to this recent development.
"And, uh...I dunno..." Awwwwkard much? Oh dear. He was tempted though, because the longer he was out, the longer he...wouldn't be home and have to deal with everything there.

Aodh shrugged. He wasn't going to press the issue.
"Alright. I'm sorry again, Lind. Beannachd leat!" He hopped on his bike then and kicked off, riding down the road with a slightly bent front wheel. Goddamn!

That was...strange, to say the least. Lind brought his hand up to wave absently, watching as he rode away on the....wobbly....
Well. Could at least do something about that. "Hey!" He called after him, threading his way though the people on the sidewalk in the direction that h he had been going.

Aodh stopped carefully this time and turned.
"Yeah?" he asked. Was fortune smiling on him today? Would he actually get to talk to what he desperately hoped was an actual angel? Perhaps Lind could be in the special mentions of his angel book...

Lind stopped a few feet away from the bike, looking down at the wheel for a moment. Well. Didn't look all that bad, junk knocked out of whack a bit.
"Want me to fix that, at least?" He asked with a jerk of his head to indicate the wheel. And, uh, if he started talking to him, he'd most likely respond, so yes, he probably would.

"Uh...yeah. That'd be great," Aodh nodded, stepping off of his bike. He had some reservations about a teenager knocking his bike back into place, but he probably wouldn't have offered if he hadn't done it before, right? A free repair on the side of the street had to be better than over-paying for a new wheel, anyway.

The bike was pulled onto the sidewalk, in a hopefully out of the way place as Lind knelt down next to it, staring at it for a few moments and poking it once or twice. And with a sigh, he set down his apron and grasped both sides of the wheel, jerking it back into place with a clank.
"That...should be alright." he said as he stood up again. Well, hadn't done too many bikes, really, mostly cars, but hey. Weren't too difficult.

"Huh," Aodh said, tilting his head at the quick job made of it. He'd have to remember that for when he undoubtedly did it again!
"Can I ask you a random and possibly racist question?"

Well, hopefully he would pay attention to what he was doing and didn't try and run anyone over anymore. Unless he planned on making it into a hobby, and then he might need to learn how to fix bicycles in general.
"Uh...sure?"
