Ahi had about given up finding his home... That large ship with the pirates, the one and only place he knew. Now it was up to the little naiad to figure out what to do next... Surely there was somewhere for a young pae such as himself to set anchor. He'd been searching all day, now he was resting, but that rest was interupted as he sensed a presense near, and as always he hid... Well hid the best a little pae with an ever-present fire could. He was behind a large rock in the water, mostly immersed whispering to himself "They no see they no see they no see" Though dispite his hiding abilities that very much had fooled the pirates, he had three little groups of surfacing bubbles around him, one from his tailfin and two from his side fins, he paid them little notice, after all the pirates never had noticed them... Why should anyone else.

The happy-go-lucky pink and gold Naiad was sitting on the edge of the dock with a long stick in her hand. Her fin tips dipped in the water allowing her tail to stay in tack and not revert to legs as she lazily swayed the stick over the water.
She was 'fishing'. Or at least, assumed she was. She'd seen the land-walker Pae do this to catch fish. What they did with the fish was a mystery, but she figured she could learn why they wave a sick over the water and catch the fish. "So ... fish ... do you like the stick? Its a fun stick. Come to the stick." She tried enticing the fish to the stick. (note: there is no fishing line, as she's never seen that bit.)
She heard a quick splash coming from not too far to right, near a big rock. Craning her neck to see if she could get a glimpse of anythign near there, she set her stick down. "Hey fish, the stick's over here!" she called out to the noise. She noticed the surfacing bubbles, and they weren't just the kind from moving underwater either; they were consistant.
"Who's over there? You need help?" she pushed herself off the dock and slipped into the water, making her way over to the bubbles thinking another stupid land Pae was trying to drown.
"OH MY STARS YOU ARE ON FIRE!!!!" Lethe couldn't believe her eyes. A child was on fire in the water. Maybe he jumped in to put himself out, so she had to help him! "I'll save you!!" She dashed towards the child planing to ... immerse ... him ....
Wait a minute...

Ahi's eyes widenned... What?!? This pae noticed him? how? he didnt get how... none of those other Pae ever noticed him... As she came towards him he tried to slip more around the rock to stay out of sight, ok he was very bad at hiding, but then those pirates we're equally bad at finding him.
"I'm not here!" he said aloud... maybe she'd believe him..

Lethe stopped when she seen the little guy flee. Was he scared of her?
"You're not? Then where are you?" she called out to him as she scratched her head. What a weird kid.
She coulda sworn his fins were on fire ....

"Uhmmmm I no no!.... Not here!" Okay so his english left a lot to be desired, he peaks around the rock to see if she was still there. The bubbles trickled around the edge of the rock. His little red eyes stared at the direction of the colorful naiad.

"Uhh... dude, I think you are there. Cuz ... I am seein' ya." She responded to the child. She was not used to dealing with the younger Pae, as she normally just kept to herself these days.
"Are you scared of me?" she was curious, and crouched a little bit, to make herself seem a bit smaller to him, maybe less intimidating.
She seen the bubbles and wondered about that fire. "Uhh... are you fire?"

Ahi didnt reply right away, more like he simply stared at her, sizing her up... She couldnt be a pirate, she was too nice to be a pirate, not to mention she wasn't covered in weird coverings like those other pirates had been.
"Yous not.. piratey-pae-persons?" He wasnt gonna answer about his tail not just yet, course he wanted to know her intentions first

She raised a brow at what he asked her. "A ... piratey-pae-persons? uhh... not last I checked, I think. What's a piratey-pae-persons?" This was one messed up kid.
She strafed alittle to the left, relaxing her posture, and just letting her tail fin float ahead of her a bit. She was more interested in finding out if he was okay and if the fire was gone.... but he was hiding.

He peaks out more "yous are sure?" he peaks out even more. Okay none of tose pirates had had fins, least none that he'd seen... Soon he had slipped out of behind the rock. The bubbles following his movements "Piratey-pae-person always wants shiney treasures... on a big boat" he nods his little red head looking at her curiously.

Lethe just cracked a smile and shook her head. "Kid, do I look like I need a boat for anything? I am obviously not a piratey-pae-person." She floated a little closer to where he was, but stopped when he came out from behind the rock.
"Barnacles! You are on fire still!" Her eyes grew wide as she watched him move. He ... didn't seem to notice that his tail was on fire. But more importantly, and a fact she shouldnt' have been so slow to pick up on, he was on fire ... underwater.
She pointed to his firey tail, completely tongue-tied and unsure what to say. " Uhm ... you uh ... ok?"

"On fires?" he turns on the spot not clueing in right away about exactly what she meant. Then he noticed her pointing and looks down and sees the cause of her concern. He was beginning to decide she was ok, least she'd not done anything to make him think she was a bad pae. He flips his tail up in front of him for a moment, the flames flickering merrily from it's end. "Bubble makers" he nods, to him this was normal, he didnt realize to not have flames was 'normal'

Lethe was flabbergasted, to say the least. She'd never before seen such a thing. It was pretty awesome. She flipped her tail up to her front and wiggled it. "See, mine's not on fire." She wiggled her fins rapidly in the water and laughed, "They make bubbles too, but without fire."

"Different bubbles" ok so the curious little firey naiad was getting curious he had to admit this. He reaches a arm towards the bubbles and grins. He slips slightly out from behind the rock to do so.
