Episode 1: The Restless Quiet
The scene opens with lights, lights and heavy breathing before pulling into a player's view of a high school football team, at night, a quick movement and the ball is in the air, and then snatched up by Samuel. Two large players barrel at him, one grabbing at his legs only to have Samuel slip away without notice. The second crashed in only to end up as Samuel's vault as he takes an early touchdown. The camera pans over the crowd as they burst into sound, with a quick shot at the coach and one back to Sam. The scene cuts to a quick view of the score board, the home team winning by a landslide.
The next scene cuts to Mina talking with Mallory, delivering the woman's food and making a quick note about someone seeing a body in the water. After a brief conversation Mallory closes the door, just as Pan and Peter walk through the hallway. Mina is invited inside for hot chocolate and helps carry the groceries in.
Cuts to a funeral as a priest gives a long and boring eulogy. A widow watches with dry eyes as her murdered husband is lowered into the ground. Others watch with her. While Mrs.Klaus makes commentary on the widow's situation, Marcus Shippe and his strange servant attempt to comfort Roxanna. Olivia remarks on the inappropriate weather for a funeral, and follows with a brief conversation with Mrs.Klaus about Newspapers. Jarred comes in to make his one and only and very brief appearance to give his condolences, then leaves just as quickly. The funeral ends with a focus on Mrs.Klaus, and the crumbling cracks she left in the corner of the gravestone after she squeezed it.
Cut back to Pan and Peter and Mina, enjoying hot chocolate as Peter brings blocks to the counter. One drops and he floats it in the air, Pan misses this completely, but Mina watches.
Cut to the arrival of the white keeper group to the keeper outpost. Rook is met by Lincoln who welcomes him and his team to St.Eva. Adam, a young blind boy also arrives with the group. Lincoln takes them down to meet a backslider by the name of Kat. Linc then leaves to let Rook interrogate Kat, though instead Rook decides to let her make a run for it, and disguises himself as beaten as he sends Adam to go get Linc. Linc leaves in order to find and kill the escaped backslider.
Cut to Roxanna getting home from the funeral, walks into her pool still dressed and tries to reach out and listen, using her power. She is found by Lou, who fears she is being drowned and forcefully dragged out. After a few sharp words she sends him away, with a message that Marcus should not be worrying over her.
Pan is giving Mina some ginger and Peter is building a block tower when he levitates blocks to the top of the tower. Pan drops her cup in a fright.
Kat is shot and struggling on the beach when she's picked up by Jeffery who insists on calling for an ambulance, despite her insistence he not. She tries to make a run for it but is caught up again by Jeffery who promises to help her if she explains everything that's going on. Just as he says this, Lincoln's vehicle pulls up.
Peter tells Pan he doesn't just float blocks but can make them go pop as well, then succeeds in blowing a hole in the wall of the apartment.
Linc gets out at about the same time as Rook arrives, disguising himself as a cop. Linc grabs Jeffery's arm but gets decked in the process. Rook grabs Jeffery and puts his hands behind his back, whispering for him to cooperate so that they can help Kat. Kat is grabbed up, and both Jeffery and Kat are pushed into the car, and taken to a boat.
Pan is in a panic at the sight of the hole in the wall, but Mallory looks out her window and yells for Mina to bring them down to her apartment, as she has something to fix the hole. Unbeknownst to everyone though, a man was taking note of the explosion and made a quick call on his phone.
Jeffery and Kat were put on the boat, and Rook loosens Jeffery's hands, telling him that when they were out to sea to throw him and linc overboard before taking off with Kat to freedom. Jeffery does just that, taking the boat a distance away before going to Kat to see if she was all right.
Cut to Rook allowing himself to appear to drown as Lincoln watches on, swearing.
Roxanna walks onto the boat, telling Jeffery she can get Kat to a doctor within minutes if he helps her get Kat into the water. Jeffery grudgingly helps, and all three of them are transferred back to the Roxanna's pool. Roxanna goes to call a physician, leaving Kat to try and explain super powers to a very skeptical Jeffery.
Mallory gives Pan some packets to help fill in the wall. In the process mina breaks down as the explosion brings back memories of a tragic past incident that killed her brother and resulted in the separating of her parents.
A doctor comes to take care of Kat as Roxanna and Jeffery discuss more about super powers. Roxanna warns Jeffery not to get involved, and when Kat is nearly done with the doctor she insists he go home. Jeffery says a quick goodbye to Kat, giving her his name before leaving.
Pan instructs Mina to take Peter and leave her to finish with closing up the wall.
2-days later
Jeffery is approached by Rook who is looking for Kat, and is finally able to accept the super powers as Rook shows his morphing abilities.
Kat is out on a walk at a strip mall when Rook approaches her. She panics, and fights, before finding out who it is and slowly accepts that he wants to help. She heads back to Roxanna's place, only to have the house explode as she's walking up the walkway.
