< School of Pranks - Staff Orientation> Note: For those of you who remember the old School of Pranks RP, this is a prequel from a different view and a much smaller scale. It won't need as many characters to run, and the exposure to "secrets" is faster.

In the Garden of the Damned, two figures stood in the center. One, with dark webbed wings and claws, in a beam of light, a portal of some sort. The other, a man looking relatively human, outside the light, standing and smirking.

“…if you can keep the portal closed, that is…”

“Oh, believe me, I will, even if I have to throw apples at you,” the man standing outside the light said as black bars came into existence around the light, shutting out the light and closing in on the figure within.

“… you have tricked me, but we shall see who wins this bet!” the figure trapped in the light declared as it disappeared with the light.

In place of the light, a statue thundered from the sky and landed with a loud thud on the spot. A sundial, supported by twin statues of an angel and a demon, chained to each other in the molding. The remaining man arched an eyebrow. "I was wondering where that sundial went..."

As a new teacher or new staff member, you enter the grounds and set your belongings down as you attempt to enter your single room. The door does open, you surmise, however, no matter how much you turn, your hand keeps slipping and the door just won’t open. You keep your cool, but even mature teachers have their limits. Finally, after numerous attempts, you give up and smack the door knob. To your surprise, it falls off, and underneath is another door knob. Curious, you give it a turn, and the door opens easily... only to be met by another door... and another door...

A few doors down, another new staff member has just opened his door on the first try, and you near a loud crash and a cry. The ground around the person is wet, and curiously, you see a sopping wet person with a pail over his head. Even stranger is that the pail has two eye holes cut out of it so the person can conveniently see. The next thing you hear from him is another cry as the person seems to be unable to enter his room... blocked by an invisible wall.

You shake your head and head inside your room. On your desk is a sign saying, “Welcome to the School of Pranks!” Inside, you are confused. You were under the impression that you would be working at the Nexus Academy, not the School of Pranks.

Setting and Time:
This is not a modern roleplay. It is closer to medieval. People still fight with weapons such as swords and spears. The main way to travel is by horse or foot. Magic is unknown except to a small group of people, and the world is experimenting with science.

Clarification: The world is not Earth.

The People:
The world is predominantly human. However, there are select residents who are not. The other possible rare races are elf, demon, and angle(basically angellike creatures). However, all people appear human, making it hard to distinguish between races.

The Nexus Academy:
The Nexus Academy is a relatively unknown boarding school that will be reputable in academics, but in the underground, it is most commonly known as the “School of Pranks” run by the notorious and secretive headmaster, Armand Orion Parr. The prestigious academy will earn its name from the simple fact that everyone in the school is pranked and/or is always pranking other people. Even the headmaster is pranked, and he himself has pulled quite a few as well.

Situated in the mountains, the school is a large castle estate with gardens, small lakes, and vast grounds. The school has many many hidden rooms with the only person who knows all of them is the headmaster. Of course with hidden rooms, there must be secrets!

There are four years at the Academy. Each student is required to take the basic courses of science, literature, math, etc. In addition, everyone is forced to take a form of fighting arts. Suffice to say, pranks are not as common during fighting arts since when sparring with real weapons, it is a danger.

Students are selected for specific unnamed criteria, which may be stranger than you may think. However, not all those that make it in have the temperament to stay and adjust. For those that stay, they surely will have the adventure of their life whether they like it or not.

The Nexus Academy's Secret
The Nexus Academy sits on portals to other worlds. Due to the presence of these portals, strange sightings are not necessarily uncommon as spirits and creatures pass through. These portals are scattered in a few places throughout the castle, each to a different place. Active portals and portal disasters are BAD, although the staff may not really understand what they are.

The Holy Knights Organization
The Holy Knights is a secretive religious organization that battles curses and strange occurrences, possibly caused by demons. There is no one affiliated with the Nexus Academy that is currently employed with the Holy Knights. In fact, Armand intends on keeping it that way. However, it didn't stop him from recruiting Ruben, a former Holy Knight.

Academy Grounds

Outside the Academy Grounds
The school is located in a valley surrounded by mountains. Outside the castle grounds and stone walls to the west is a huge forest. There is a stone tower and cottage hidden in the middle of the forest. To the north lies a fairly sized lake whose water flows out of the valley through an underground stream. Waters flows into the lake from the rain in the mountains.

External Sites
Garden Maze – nicknamed the Garden of the Damned by the underground
The maze is full of tall hedges of over ten feet. Some of the hedges are but illusions and are passable. The same is true of places that seem as if there are no hedges. In the center is a sundial. The sundial itself is supported by twin statues of an angel and a demon. Both figurines are chained to each other in the molding. There are statues littered throughout the maze. Some are crumbling, others are in startling good condition, and still others have already broken into pieces. The statues are mostly of mythical creatures

Courtyards and Park
These often have fountains surrounded by flowers in the center and marble benches around the fountains. The courtyards are in much better condition than the Garden Maze. They are usually situated in areas enclosed by buildings. The park is not enclosed and has a swingset.

Athletic Fields
These are to the east of the building. Here, there are soccer fields, baseball like fields, race track, and the like.

Stables
These are next to the athletic fields and can hold many horses… or other beasts.

The Building Sections(Some, Others will be added if they become important)
Note: Assume there are many rooms are each floor. There are working lifts to get from one level to the other, and of course, there are stairs. The lifts do not work for the clock tower and the ruined tower.

Ground Levels: Floors 1-9
Classrooms Area – Floors 1, 2, 3
Student labs, music rooms, recreation rooms, training rooms, you name it. It’s all in this area.

Armory- Floor 1
It holds exactly what you might expect; weapons and armor.

Medic Ward- Floor 1
A mini-hospital, a calming place to heal your wounds unless it becomes haunted.

Dining Hall – Floor 2 (due to the high ceiling, it extends into upper floors)
Again, it holds more capacity than the academy’s members. The tables in here are round, and in the event of a buffet dinner, the food is laid out on a long rectangular table. There a small stage in the front of the room, and a piano near the stage.

Auditorium – Floor 2 (due to the high ceiling, it extends into upper floors)
A typical indoor amphitheatre with a decent backstage area and a portion in front the stage for an orchestra. There many audience seats, including a balcony level. However, there aren’t enough students or staff in the academy to fill the auditorium.

Room of Mirrors- Floor 3
There are many mirrors that line the walls of this room. Besides the mirrors, there are only curtains on the walls and candle holders on the ground.

Ballroom- Floor 4 (due to the high ceiling, it extends into upper floors)
A vast room with draped curtains framing large windows on the sides. On one side is an exit to a balcony overlooking some of the castle grounds.

The Great Library – Floor 5 (due to the high ceiling, it extends into upper floors)
It seems endless. There are books on almost every topic. The only exception is that there is nothing on magic and stipulations on other worlds. There are two levels to this library. The rounded side of the library holds an immense window that projects outward, creating cushioned seat for those who’d like to recline on the window sill.

Dorms – Female and Male Wings, Teacher Rooms – Floor 6 and 7 with small turrets/tower reading rooms and common rooms for the students on Floor 8.
Student rooms are all doubles and come equipped with a desk, bed, bookshelf, dresser. Gender Bathrooms and showers are located in respective opposite sides of the dorm. There are two bathtubs in each. The rest are standing showers. The teachers are alloted their own bathrooms inside their single living quarters. Their offices are also next to their living quarters.

Headmaster’s Office and Quarters- Floor 9
This is where Armand spends most of his time doing the administrative work and spying… erm, I mean scrying on people. There is a large desk with book shelves on the walls filled with books or interesting curios. Behind the desk is a large window with a good view of the estate.

Upper Levels: Floor 10-20
Clock Tower: Floors 10-20
It holds the clock that keeps track of the time. This doubles as the bell tower as well. From the top of the clock tower, you can get a grand view of most of the estate… if you can stand the sound of the bell tolling and the winding stairs and platforms that you have to jump or swing to in order to reach the top.

Observatory/Planetarium- Floor 10
On one of the upper floors, the planetarium is a great place to relax and watch the stars. There is a big telescope on the deck. There is also a small garden next to the planetarium, a great place for romantic events.

Simulation Room –Floor 13

The Ruined Wing/Tower- Floors: 1-18
The walkway to the Ruined Wing is located on the 13th floor. However, it is broken off from decay. Collapsing and quite obviously needing repair, the ruined wing itself is a dangerous area to traverse. Hidden in this area is the Secret Library. Not so hidden, assuming you are able to get past the decaying architecture is the Laboratory, which is not decaying. The Ruined Wing is quite large.

Lower Levels:
Arena- Basement 1
What were they thinking? A coliseum? The arena is on the lower levels of the castle, right on top of the catacombs. The audience bleachers circle around a pit with high walls. A section of the bleachers near the pit is raised, possibly for a judge. In the center of the audience seats, there are a few elevated box seats, possibly for judges or “important” people. Blood stains are still visible in parts of the pit, and iron spiked gates guard the entrances into the pit.

CatacombsTorture Chambers- Basement 2
You might wonder why a school would have catacombs in the basement. You could try to justify it by thinking that the school structure is of a castle, but you might still think it strange. The bones in here may be real or they might not be, but that’s for you to find out- that is, if you’re brave enough. There is a secret exit here that leads into the further underground crystal caverns.

What are you doing here?
Armand Orion Parr has recruited you to the Nexus Academy, a boarding school on a huge castle estate, to teach. You may have been forced or just accepted the offer. Whatever the case, you’re now here on a YEAR LONG staff orientation, and there are many things for you to learn. …including getting pranked. Many times, you want feel as if you want to leave, but the estate holds many secrets for brave explorers, and as the first full staff to be on campus, there is much to discover.

Note that since you are the first full set of teachers at the school for a year long orientation, there really won't be any students around.


The Magic
Most people will have an affinity, meaning magic that is easier for them to learn and use. However, even if one doesn’t have affinity and may not be able to use magic, he or she could be especially good at something else such as strategy or at one form of fighting or sneaking around or even good at jumping. The types of magic are:
Wind
Earth
Fire
Water
Light (healing related)
Dark (shadow)

Some of the teachers are capable of magic (limit of two types). If you want to have all of the types of magic, you will probably not have strong magic. Not all of them are human. Few of you are aware of Armand's appearance changing ability, but all of you will learn he has magic capabilities.

Abilities/Affinity/Skill: As a former thief, Estas is lithe and agile with fingers and legs. He is much better at dodging and running away than fighting though he will have a knife on him at all times due to habit. Estas's water magic is limited. The only method he's somewhat mastered is creating air bubbles to breathe underwater and to act as weak shields. Estas is a master at seeming completely dead in body and spirit.
Appearance: Estas comes with sleek black hair, usually tied in a low pony tail that reaches to just above his mid back. The Angle is slender with violet eyes and stands at a height of 5'6''. Estas usually dons loose fitting clothes and wears a Robin Hood style hat with a purple feather tucked in its side. He tends to like to dress with style to woo the ladies.
Personality: Outgoing, full of smiles. Inside, Estas likes nothing more than to scare students (by stealing objects and making them disappear) and make the girls swoon over him. However, girls, watch out. If you're looking for bravery in a fight, Estas might be a bit lacking as he's better at running away.
History: As a young child, Estas had been privy to the joys of attempting to master water magic. However, as a war raged on, Estas's family found themselves in hard times and unable to continue Estas's education. Ill fortune shone on the Landry family as they gave up their land to handle debts. Without the knowledge of his parents, Estas had taken up thievery to help feed his family. The Angle grew bolder and bolder, until one day, he was found out. While being hunted, the Angle escaped through forest, hiding in a cave and accidentally slipping unknowingly through a portal. When he came to, he was staring at the bottom of Armand's boot.
Other: Due to his affinity to water magic, Estas dislikes fire. Unfortunately, this weakness has been made use of by Armand. Estas wants to go back to see his parents, but he is unaware of their condition and would have to face capture if he returned.

Summary and Updates

After surviving several pranks, Estas, Isaac, Lise, and Vera have made it to the meeting room, following Estas. Armand has introduced himself and asked the others to follow suit. As Isaac introduces himself, Maelle enters the room in shredded clothes. Shortly after, Maelle and Aria introduce themselves.

Armand then dismissed them and sets meeting time to dinner at the tenth floor observatory. Meanwhile, Maelle leaves for her dorm room. Estas tries to ask Aria out and smartly bumbles her name. Something comes up, and Armand cancels dinner and reschedules for the next night. Estas asks Aria out on a date with dinner at the lake, and she accepts.

Armand meets Maelle in the hall and tells her about the date and informs her that dinner would available through Estas only. He also telepathically tells Lise and Isaac, and then heads back to the office.

Lise and Isaac are a little shocked at hearing the voice in their heads and are talking to each other. Estas headed out into the hallways and meets Maelle, who has put on her skimpiest clothes and let her hair down. She asks him about dinner, and he offers to take her to the kitchen for snacks. They head off and fall down a hall.

Lise and Isaac figure out where they are from Estas's screaming voice and proceed to jump down the hole. Everyone heads toward the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Aria has confronted Armand and successfully nailed him on the head with a book. Talking to him is like a wall.

The teachers other get assaulted by hawks and find out that the kitchen is a mess from hawks in the vicinity. The teachers bravely attempt to help the kitchen staff.

Armand has now placed a bet with Aria. If the teachers defeat the hawks within 10 minutes, he will show her a secret passage. If they don't, she will need to dress up for her "date"

Headmaster Armand Orion Parr
Name: Armand Orion Parr
Position: Headmaster
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown
Race: Demon
Abilities/Affinity/Skill: Armand has magic capabilities ranging through almost all of the types of magic. He is telepathic and is able to work telekinesis. Due to his mastery of shadow magic, he can change his appearance. However, no students know, and a few select teachers may know. His next best is in the area of fire magic with the other types lagging behind. Armand is sufficient in sword fighting and fencing, but fails against the highly skilled. As one can tell from this description, he is more of a mage than a warrior.
Appearance: Despite his age unknown to everyone else, Armand seems to be in his mid 20’s, eerily young for a headmaster. The lad has reddish hair and gray eyes and is of medium build. His skin is pale. He usually dresses in some shade of black or white with black boots. Though not usually with him, he does have a sword in his office. When appearing in front of the entire school, he usually appears donning a cape, making him look rather noble and serious and in a way, balancing out his speeches, which may or may not be serious.
Personality: He may or may not care about things. Armand is rather sarcastic and playful or he is stern and stoic. He enjoys chaos and shirks his duties randomly as well. Armand, believe it or not, has an extremely long fuse. It is almost impossible to make him angry or in the case that he is, it may be quite hard to tell due to his two usual stances of stoic and sarcastic. The matters concerning the school and its secret are perhaps the only reason Armand has become somewhat serious. However, that is the key word. “Somewhat” serious. The headmaster has a somewhat of a mischievous attitude.
History: It has been quite a few years since Armand became headmaster of the Nexus Academy. Before settling down, Armand traveled the world with some of his fellow teachers and caused unrest more than half the time he visits a town to the dismay of some of his companions. Though one would think that as headmaster, Armand should be serious, Armand is the opposite. He contributes to the “School of Pranks” and pulls pranks of his own as well. One must note, however, that he does guard the secret of the academy and protect his staff.
Other: Armand is a demon, but of course, only some teachers will know this information… as they may be demons as well! This character is borrowed from Lise Illumincroix/Lost Realms. I cut and pasted some of her words into the description and added some of my own.

Gender: Male
Age: 40
Race: Human
Abilities/Affinity/Skill: Abnormally strong strength, most likely due to training and practice, and expertise in swords and axes. Ruben is able to forge weapons thought it takes him a very long time. In terms of magic, if Armand is tone deaf to seriousness, then Ruben is to magic. He is so tone deaf that magic sometimes won’t work on him for some strange reason.
Appearance: Standing tall at a height of 6’ 1’’, the bearded Ruben is an imposing person. His light brown hair frames his face and is always tidy unlike that of Armand’s. Ruben is stronger than he looks.
Personality: Ruben is a loudspoken man with an open heart. Unlike the headmaster, Ruben is not really one to be secretive. He is very protective of his students.
History: In his younger years, Ruben had been an official Holy Knight with a religious organization to battle curses and strange occurrences possibly caused by demons. While on a mission, believing Armand to be a demon, Ruben immersed Armand in holy water making Armand go “…” Unlikely enemies turned allies.

Afterwards, Ruben retired, and Armand sought him out, offering him a position at Nexus and leading him to believe that they could rid the land of demons and evil spirits. Of course, Ruben doesn’t realize the full of the situation.
Other: Ruben has a son named Elran that will be attending the school at some point. Ruben also has a fetish for large weapons.

Name: Vera Novikova
Position: Teacher - Martial Arts/swordplay/archery/weapon's history
Gender: Female
Age: 28
Race: half-elf
Abilities/Affinity/Skill: Vera takes pride in knowing that she can pick up just about any weapon and use it well. She grew up learning to fight, and now she teaches it. She has an affinity with wind and she still uses it to make herself move faster, to slow opponents, or just to mess with people.
Appearance: Vera doesn't look like a battle-hardened warrior. She has short white-blonde hair that frames her face and bright blue eyes. Her eyes have been compared to ice when mad though, as they loose any of the bright, bubbliness of her normal nature. She's barely 5'3", and she can't top more than 115 lbs. She's small of built and not overly curvy, though she's not a stick either. She usually dresses in loose pants and a shirt she can move in, with a sword of some type at her hip. The sword depends on the day, and whether she has one or two depends on the day and where she is. She wears boots and simple clothes, rarely dressing up for anything.
Personality: It really depends on the day. She is usually pretty carefree, just going with the flow and putting her unlimited patience to use. She will often act on whim, which includes spending far more than wise on a fabulous sword, or spending the night with a guy for the hell of it. She can be a flirt, when she chooses to be. But, she can also be very serious and her playful side will vanish. Her temper is also legendary, when sparked it is best to be far, far away even if it wasn't directed at you.
History: Vera grew up in a small town in the middle of nowhere in a the country the farthest north, one where it was freezing cold and the native accent was oddly like one you would expect of someone from Russia. Her family left soon after, and started moving around, for reasons she never knew. It was some time before she realized it was partially because her mother was and Elf and her father was a master thief. Strange combination, but it worked. She left them as soon as she turned 18, and she wound up running into Armand, quite literally. It didn't take long for her to decide she liked him, or for him to see her fight when a drunk idiot decided that a little girl couldn't possibly know how to use the weapon she carried. She was asked to come teach as soon as the school opened.
Other: It's been said she had a history with another teacher, though who that is is undetermined, and she refuses to answer when questioned about it. Instead, she makes the asker run laps around the school. And they usually do it to, but that could be because they know the alternative is related to the sword she wears on her hip.

Position: Long range specialist, history + mythology teacher

Abilities/Affinity/Skill: Very basic air magic. Lise is now a long range weapon specialist in more specifically glaive/spear and bows. She is particularly good at aiming long distance, not short. She fails even worse than Armand at swords work, but random flailing works sometimes!
Appearance: Lise Lise has blonde hair and green eyes with a slender body at 5'6''. Her braided hair falls down to her upper thighs. Her clothes are usually a short skirt for mobility with white leggings. The top is a loose fitting shirt held by a tied corset and her feet don boots. It's basically the same as the picture.
Personality: She is a kind person, caring and loving. She has a benevolent heart, helping those in need and doesn't really like the whole tomfoolery that the school is. She doesn't usually prank anyone and just sighs at all the pranks.
History: Lise was happy and free as a noble child, living next to Armand's place, where they hung out often... with Armand pranking her many times, and her smacking him with any available object that she could find when she could. Upon coming of age, independent Lise left her parents to explore the world, meeting up with Armand in the process during her journey. How did Lise end up in the Academy? She was conned into it by Armand, combined with her worry of his intentions.
Other: Not really? She's fully aware of her lineage and really thinks that Armand is going about the wrong way with his attitude on the secret..aka... he should be more serious, and his logic is faulty.

Abilities/Affinity/Skill: Though technically not a doctor, Maelle is just as skilled at healing as any man or woman that has a certificate flaunt. She knows all the medicinal herbs, and can perform any surgery without even having the proper tools. Her natural affinity is with water, but because of her profession, she forced herself to master light magic. Because she mainly focused on light magic through out her life, both healing and non-healing types, her water magic has yet to reach its full potential.
Appearance: Maelle stands at an average height of 5’7”, with a thin build. From the way she dresses herself up, she’s rather delicate looking, though she is anything but. Her eyes are a grayish green, and her hair is a yellow with platinum highlights. Her hair naturally falls into loose ringlets, which she usually pins up and decorates with a hairpiece or flowers, gems, and pearls, if she’s not wearing a hat. After her travels, she readopted the formal style of dress her parents forced on her. However, when working, she has decided to dress slightly less formally slightly less formally.
Personality: The foremost trait one will notice about Maelle is that she’s appears to be very absent-minded. While she truly does zone out at times, she often times chooses to ignore things, simply not to start conflict. She acts very proper( though anyone whose been around her for long knows that she can be less-than-such at the times and places she deems appropriate) from her dress to her mannerism, but also childlike. She’s normally upbeat and talkative, but her moods easily change. But though her moods swings are near constant, she quickly recovers. In general, she can bounce back from things very quickly. Most of the time when she’s distraught, she quiets down, but if she’s pushed, she has a very violent temper.
History: Maelle came from a well-to-do family, that recognized her intelligence high hopes for her future. They expected her to finish her education with good merits, and then use her smarts to land herself a wealthy husband. So of course, Maelle dropped out of school and refused to marry, being that at the time, she had yet to adopt any sort of manners.
So when Maelle announced that she wanted to start traveling in order to learn the secrets of medicine, her parents were happy to send her off with a fair amount of money, so that they’d have room for another child. Maybe one hat would listen and get married to rich man.
By the time Maelle met Armand, she had already learned the basics of medicine. She found him to be an interesting man, so she nominated herself to join him in his travels, insisting she’d be useful to have around if he, for instance, broke an arm, which would be very likely if he didn’t let her tag along.
After she learned all she needed, as well as a few manners, they parted ways. Maelle believed she likely would never hear from Armand again, only to receive a letter from him a short while later, in which he asked her to teach at his school. Being that no one seemed to want to hire a doctor that technically didn’t have proper schooling, she agreed.
Other: Maelle hasn’t spoken to her parents since she set out on her journey, and desperately wants to visit them and apologize, but since they moved quite some time ago, she can’t locate them, and instead has to live with guilt.

Abilities/Affinity/Skill: In terms of magic, Aria has knowledge relating to both shadow and wind magic, though the dark magic is her stronger suit. She is strictly known for her skills in magic and far less in her physical fighting capabilities. However, she is quite capable of holding her own against some more novice fighters for several minutes without using her magic. She can configure the bones of her right hand to make her hand and nails strong enough to pierce flesh on their own (she can pull out an opponents beating heart without spilling a drop of their blood, if she so chooses). She has the ability to blend into shadows and even travel short distances by using shadows (as long as she knows where she wants to end up).

Personality:Generally very cold-hearted, but she is kind even if she doesn't show it all too often. She tends to hide her true emotions behind a mask of emotionlessness.
History: Aria comes from a rather large family of demons and is the only daughter. She is the youngest of five children who ran away from home. Aria generally prefers to keep her past history from coming out into the open because she doesn't like to relive it. However, she is one of the few people on staff who knows Armand is in fact a demon given that she is also a demon. Aria was the one who came across Armand actually. She came to him seeking a place to stay and hopefully keep away from her family and brothers. Hopefully, Armand hasn't figured out that that was the real reason she is at the Academy.
Other: Aria's brother's are searching for her to bring her home. Though, Aria has no intention of ever telling anyone that they are. Armand may or may not know, but Aria doesn't seem to care if he does indeed find out. She just has no intention of telling anyone the reason as so to why.

History: David had been hired after working at a high school for a few years. He quite his last job because he found what they were doing was boring, he wanted to blow stuff up (as shown by his lack of right eye). He always loved kids stuff all of his life pulling pranks himself and getting expelled a few times but after long he just changed his prank schedule to a nap schedule when his mom(the human) wouldn't stop yelling at him for getting expelled for the fifth time.

“Hmm?” The red haired headmaster, Armand Orion Parr, lounged in his chair, feet on his desk, one hand behind his head, and the other fiddling with a writing feather with ink freshly on its tip. On the headmaster’s desk was a parchment with some unreadable scrawl and what seemed to be a smiley with a tongue sticking out in the middle of the mess. It was truly quite an un-headmaster-like scene. The headmaster sighed as he peeked at the parchment. Hidden beneath the scrawl was a list of the incoming staff members to the academy. Some of the staff members had never been acquainted with the school. Others had, whether they liked it or not.

At this moment, the staff members were all checking in and moving in. The number of pranks he had set for them was what he considered a minimum. If they couldn’t stand the pranks, then they wouldn’t be able to be effective for the true purpose of the school. Not only that, it wouldn’t be fun at all! He wanted them to prank him if they dared, so he could prank them back!

“Quite a few halfies,” the headmaster muttered with a shrug as he lazily levitated the list of names in front of his eyes. He smirked. The first orientation meeting was after the moving in the afternoon in an obscure conference room on the third floor. People were going to be very confused. He had not provided anyone with maps. There were a couple of signs in the hallways, but Armand didn’t check to see if they were accurate.

Vera sighed, closing her eyes and slowly counting to ten, making her hand relax and drop from the hilt of the rapier she wore at her hip. She had passed this spot at least five times, now, and she was thoroughly annoyed. She'd found her room without much trouble, and that had only been because for some reason her key opened both her door AND his. And that had been the only way for her to figure out which room was hers, and seeing as his was already occupied....

Vera turned down a different hall, spinning around with sword in hand when the walls closed behind her. "Lovely. Just lovely." she muttered, sheathing the rapier and setting off down the hall, hoping to find the room or at least someone who knew where it was.

Lise wanted to wrangle Armand. The signs in the hallway were just not R-I-G-H-T. She was already kind of annoyed that she was working at the school because of Armand, and she was hoping that he would be more responsible because he was headmaster. ...wrong. At least, as far as she could tell so far.

Lise was in her room right now, unpacking. She was literally fighting her room. The closet doors refused to budge, and she kicked them. The doors immediately snapped back in response, opened, and sent her flying into the bed. At least it was the bed. In the bathroom, the floor was extra slippery, and she had no idea why. It wasn't wet, and the floor didn't even look like it was made of slippery stuff. It felt like iceskating, walking in the bathroom.

She was going to strangle Armand or bash him with something at the staff meeting. Now. She locked her door and stepped out into the hallway.

The sleek black haired Angle Estas Landry gracefully inspected his wardrobe. Despite his short time at the academy, he had been able to acquire a few sets of decent clothes to mismatch to his style. And he had an advantage over the teachers moving in today since he had an idea of what the academy grounds were like. Yet, he still couldn’t help feeling just a bit daunted.

He wasn’t here at the Academy by choice anyway, and it was a refuge for him for the moment. Carefully checking himself in the mirror, Estas fitted his feathery hat on his hair and frowned. There was a spot on his hat... it took him only a little bit to realize that the mirror was the one playing tricks on him. "This mirror, I swear..."

Aside from Armand, Estas was looking forward to meeting the incoming female teachers. Happily, the Angle stepped out of his room and began walking toward what he thought was the obscure conference room. As he walked, he spotted a lady, who appeared to be lost. "Dear mademoiselle, would you have need of any assistance?"

Vera glanced back at his voice, showing no surprise. She hadn't expected anyone to come up behind her, but that didn't mean she would show it. "That would depend. Do you know how to get to the room we're supposed to be meeting in?" she asked, turning to face him with both hands resting on her hips. If he didn't know she was going to keep looking on her own and figure it out herself.
