(OOC: My scheme:Flash Back, Thought, Dialog, Present)

The Intro...

The young boy rushed down the stone halls a smile on his face as he told he would be getting a little brother on this day. His small feet padded the stone with speed, he was eager to met his new brother when he came into the world. "Mommy! Mommy!" The prince shouted turning the corner of the palace halls, as his father rushed along side him, Prince Marik couldn't be happier to have a brother, a playmate, some one who he'd assume would be just like him. Coming to a stop, Marik turned and looked up at his father. "Can we go in now daddy? The Pharaoh nodded looking down at his blond child. "Yes." The guards that stood in front of the birthing door, side stepped pulling the huge stone doors open for the Pharaoh and Prince Marik. As the door opened the chamber maiden walked up and bowed before them. "My Lord you have another son." Her voice was filled with joy and happiness, she turned and kneeled before Marik. "You have a little brother young prince." Placing a hand on his son's shoulder, Pharaoh looked into the violet eyes of his small child, "Why don't you we go meet him? Wanting Marik and the new baby to become the best of friends, even if the times were rought, Pharaoh was determined that the boy's would grow up and rule the kingdom together. Little did he know how power would effect his frist born. Picking up his eldest son, Pharaoh walked over to his tired wife who was holding the newborn prince. "Isaca, he is beautiful." Her deep purple eyes flicked up to her husband as he spoke, she was so happy to see him, then to her other child, "Marik I think you should name him." A bit shocked that his parents were letting him name his brother, he nodded and started to think of a name, he had never nammed a human before and Marik understood that his brother would carry the name for the rest of his life, "I think he should be named Atem...".

As they years came and went, the two princes grew closer and closer with each passing year, only becoming everything that their father had hoped for. The boys might have been close but they were very different too. Atem, the second born, held the traits more from his mother. He was kind to all, tried to make choices that were positive in the end, and respected everyone. He was a little wild, more free spirited and loved to have fun. While Mairk on the other hand, he was a bit more serious, as the first born he believed he was destined to get the throne and become the next Pharaoh of Egypt. The first of the son's he was schooled and educated more then Atem and his greed for the ultimate power was slowly taking over him. Spoiled by his luxurious lifestyle, Mairk didn't belive in respecting the other social classes, he belived that if you weren't wealthly then your only purpose was to serve the wealthy and become a slave. The difference in them could be seen by the peasents and Isaca however Pharaoh had blocked out the differences trying to convience himself that the boys were alike and prefecet so it wouldn't matter whou would take over the throne once the time for his passing came.
"Marik, Atem." He summoned for his sons to enter the chambers where he and his wife were sitting. The time of Pharaoh's death was close at hand, he had faked it for the last couple years, doing everything that he, the priest and priestess' knew to spare him more time until Atem became of age. The sound of his voice had lightened and became very shallow, he was going blind and the time he had left was very limited. Isaca had came to accept that she would be loosing her husband very soon, he had decided to stop taking the medicine as soon as he told his son's and knew that Egypt would be in safe hands. "You called us Father." The boy's spoke in unison, as they entered the room, Marik had noticed that his father's health had been failing but he didn't want to be the one to tell Atem, he noticed the younger boy had a very close relationship with the Pharaoh. Clearing his throat, he slowly stood up on shaky legs and walked over to his boy's placing a hand on them both, "My son's my time on his world is coming to an end, and I want to go to my resting place knowing the people of Egypt are cared for.." Isaca rushed to her husband's aide her hands touching his tanned skin lightly. "Marik I want you to promise me that you will...help Atem rule Egypt, with you by his side, Atem will make a great Pharaoh." As Marik softly replied that he would help the reaper came and took Pharaoh's life from him. But Marik had no inteniosn of keeping his word..

It starts now after Atem and the guradian's are banished from Egypt
