They claim they're worried about their image aborad and yet they do s**t like that? Romania will eventually realize that it's not PC to discriminate.

Sure, it'd be awesome if we could all just get rid of the bad words and make everyone play nice so long as those words are forgotten. But how many people get angry if we slip up, ruin someone's day, and try to tread softly on eggshells when we're just trying to get along?
I have Czech blood but that does not make me Czech-American. I was born and raised in America. Why can't I just be?
Basically, Madonna can pull all that political correctness she wants, but Romania isn't America, and I'm sure Madonna didn't have to worry about stereotypical gypsies in her 4-Star Hotel Suite. Political Correctness will be the death of us all, I'm sure. Aren't we a little tired of trying too hard not to piss everybody off?

There's nothing wrong with celebrities using their influence for good. So what if it's hypocritical? There's no reason to shoot them (10 pts if you get that). At least it helps get the job done.
I've been noticing a trend lately in people saying it's wrong to try and incite change for the better in other countries because we'd be "Americanizing them" someone even went so far as to say that it's wrong to try and make men in other countries stop raping and beating their wives because then the world will become a cultural wasteland. What? People can have their cultures, but when it comes down to infringing upon someone elses right to live their life in relative peace, then it's crossing a line. It has nothing to do with culture or country. We shouldn't be hurting each other because of stupid differences like race or origin. We're all the same species for crying out loud and I think a lot of people forget that. My cats don't hurt each other for being differently colored, sized, or shaped. A lot of lessons could be learned from them. Well, not from Koga. He's on the rape bandwagon.
If political correctness can stop a majority of this extreme racism crap from happening, again, at least it helps get the job done. That said, I speak my mind and that's why I have no friends.

He rapes my other cat Sugar, all the time. There's not much we can do because by the time we get to them they both manage to scatter. At least they're both fixed.

You're right, though. We'd be spiraling down into another World War if we weren't pulling this PC stuff, I suppose. I think people are just tired of the dragging on of affairs. We've been involved with over 20 years of violence in a place that isn't our soil. I think the story would be different if we had all the problems the Middle East currently has.
Nobody's been forced to choose a side over here unless it was to choose a candidate, and even then it was anonymously voted upon. It's like those problems don't exist because they're all virtual. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to take a more caring and giving stance to my mental approach of society's outlandish behaviors. . .
Have you thought of PR work at your Aquarium?

I have people that are a vague definition of the word friends. I really spend 99% of my time alone at my computer talking to myself and people I've never met. The only other humans I see on a monthly basis are my mom, my brother, my boyfriend, and the people at the aquarium.
Oh yeah, we have no business over there for sure. I couldn't agree more on that. Our soldiers anyway. I'm really in favor of all world leaders just getting along and adopting similar policies on human rights. And drinking tea. Tea always makes me feel better. See, China and Japan can bring the tea, UK can bring the crumpets, we can bring the laptops, the Middle East can bring the oil to heat the tea...etc etc.
I'm all for fixing our own problems instead of butting in on other people's affairs, but I also applaud groups that go over seas to help victim of war and things like that. When you can look outside of yourself and your own needs and help someone else, especially to that extent, that's courage. This war is a sham. I don't like wars at all, but some of them were fought for good. This one was not. The outcome is going to be terrible either way. I don't even know what we're fighting for and I didn't even know there was a war for a good few years into it.
PR work? I'd be terrible at that. I was walking around during my lunch break and some guy was calling Kathleen (one of the anacondas)gross and disgusting and I wanted to slap him. I guess another reason why I spend so much time alone is because I hate people in general. Not because they're people, but because they're so mean! I am so contradictory it drives me crazy. Yupp. I'm gonna die cold and alone and surrounded by cats.
