In the middle between the classrooms, training grounds, dorms, offices and the great hall, lies the main square, which acts as a connecting joint for all these buildings. Paths leading from one end to another and all of them coming together at the centre, are surrounded by luscious grass and beautiful red maple trees and Japanese fire bushes, giving the people sitting on the benches or ground below them, a nice shade even in the most sunny weather. Students come here to relax, occasionally jog or even study in a natural environment. At the centre of the square, where all the paths come together, a small pond lies, in which Butterfly Koi swim around. The splashing of the water, the wind's gentle breeze, gentle chirping of the birds and the fishes' slow rhythmic movements, make it a place of peace and tranquility.

Rin sat in a cross legged position, or at some said, "Criss cross applesauce" or "Indian Style." He had a silver communicating device that the humans called a phone pressed to his ear. His dad gave it to him after he modded it to make it work on Soul Society. It wasn't legal, but his family was known for not giving a crap and paying the fees for whatever they did. They had the money and they liked to mess with stuff. "Why am I here, couldn't you have trained me!?" he yelled into the phone at his dad. His dad replied but it was muffled, especially to the semi loud pond. "I don't care if you and Hano came here to become full fledged shinigami! Can't you train me to become an unofficially trained one!?" he continued to yell. They just hung up, so he slipped the phone in a pocket. He wasn't wearing an official uniform yet. All he had was a tank top and some really loose pants. His clan insignia was tied around his arm at the moment though.

Eyes darting from one section of the square to another, Tsubame made her way slowly to the largest maple and proped herself against the smooth bark. Raising a hand she fanned herself, regretting how hot the day was and not picking a lighter colored furisode to wear. Beneath the welcoming shade though she felt the urge to faint fade quickly and continued her self tour of the grounds while wondering where exactly Ryou had gone. She must have lost him on her trek to the main square. Each of the buildings she observed were gated off, as to be expected, but longed to get acquainted with the classrooms before the school year began. Sighing in acceptance of having to wait as everyone else she resumed her walk about the area only to be stopped when she heard a spars and one sided shouting match.

Coming nearer to center of the square, she noted the source of the tranquility braking noise to be a young man sitting cross legged before the pond. Not particularly interested in who he'd been speaking with, Tsubame crept closer and seated herself on a low bench near by under the shade of another maple. This time she kept her gaze away from the pond and the sluggish koi, instead focusing on the variety of flowers seamlessly blending with the landscaping. Reaching into the top of her furidode she removed a set of folded papers, opening them and reviewing the requirements for each class, the basic rules and where she would most likely end up as the school year progressed. Calculating how much time would be dedicated to training and studying, she was applaude by how little time she would have to visit her mother and their shop.

Refolding the papers, she returned them to their resting place and stared at her hands. Okudaira Shinsuke, her trainer and lead guard for an aristocrat family she worked and supplied ornate clothing for had been the one to recommend her attendance at the Academy. Tsubame was grateful for his approval, but being separated from her home would be harder than she'd expected it would be. Although, she was looking forward to a continued education in Hakuda, talented as she was in the most basic forms, she hoped dearly that the classes would be challenging.

To say that Ryan was stunned was a bit of an understatement. He'd spent his whole life plus sixty years surrounded by the same flat plains, the only exception being when he'd taken his trip to Europe - and that had been the war-torn regions of France and Germany, nothing like this. It was peaceful, it was beautiful. For lack of a better word, it was heaven.

And Ryan had arrived wearing his patchwork shirt, patchwork jeans and his old work boots - and by his own request at that. These were the clothes he had pretty much lived and died in, and they were the clothes he would enter the afterlife in.

Not noticing the girl sitting below the tree, Ryan walked over to one of the maples, taking a leaf from one of the lower branches. He'd never actually touched a maple tree before - he'd seen them on the train ride to and from Halifax, but never this close. And then the memory of that day in 1965, when it had come over the radio: "...the new flag of Canada was raised over Parliament Hill today, with red bars on each side and a red maple leaf on a white background in the center..." He'd heard the description, even heard the account as it had happened, with God Save the Queen playing as the old Red Ensign was lowered, then O Canada playing as the new flag was raised, and now he spoke softly to himself, feeling a bit of homesickness already. "This may be heaven...but I'd much rather be out working."

A small girl walked onto the grounds her long stawberry blond hair blowing gently on the breeze. She looked to be around the age of 12. Her soft grey eyes quietly examined her tranquil surroundings. She simply wore a light blue tight shirt and short denim shorts. a small white dagger hung at her side, its sheath and hilt perfectly taken care of. The girl walked with her head held high and a slight smile on her pretty young face. She knew that she would have fun here, the place was just so beautiful! She then heard the sounds of a small pond and she wandered towards the center. As she neared she noticed three different people relaxing, or at least two were relaxed the one closest to the pond had just stopped screaming. "This is going to be interesting." she mumbled quietly to herself as she wandered to a bench near the pond. She smiled politely at the boy who had just been yelling as she sat down and admired her surroundings.

"Blahhh..." he uttered under his breath, annoyed at the wait for the gates to open. He leaned back, onto his back and threw his feet outward onto the ground. He was right beside the pond and was close to sleep. His eyes were now closed and a deep yawn left Rin's mouth, followed by a sigh. He saw everyone else around them and started to wonder if they were also impatient. He had one arm out across the ground and one by his side, centimeters from the pond. He started to think of what it would be like in the school. He was imagining things, such as fighting a teacher and easily besting them. He imagined the older students looking at him with fear but respect. And he thought of others looking at him with disgust. A soul born inside Soul Society of two shinigami. Something of a disgrace. He opened his eyes and stopped thinking.

Hearing the grating crunch of foot steps on the gravel path, Tsubame's mottled eyes left her hands as she searched for the approaching newcomer. She was appalled by what was presented to her though, a tall young man with a Western countenance and dressed in what she could only imagine to be rags held barely together by haphazard stitching. In her minds eye she was already dressing him in clothing that she thought befitting, mostly in dark chartreuse to match both the deep green eyes and chocolate colored shock of hair, perhaps not traditional wear but something equally as simplistically elegant. Engrossed, she nearly missed his comment about heaven but stopped her fashion oriented train of thought in time to respond. “Heaven, I can’t say this place is that idealistic,” smiling lightly, she inclined her head in his direction, “but who am I to say anything? This could be a person’s heaven if they made it so.” With her curiosity peaked she peered at the red Japanese maple leaf held loosely in one hand. Tsubame looked away quickly though when she noticed her own wording, she’d said it without thinking and now fiddled nervously with the end of her tied hair. If she hadn’t been trained in etiquette then it wouldn’t have bothered her, but being intrusive on another’s thoughts had Tsubame regretting her words right away.

Ryou had made his way to the main square. there seemed to be quite q few people there now. He only knew or kinda met one of them so far. friendly terms or not he wish to get to know all of them. He felt a little bit much standing out and decided to take a seat if he was to meet any one they would come to him. He wasn't alone so he felt comfortable but still he would like to at least spend the time with light conversation. With any one it didn't matter who.

Zakuro Gorudon

Zakuro entered the Main Square in a somnolent manner; his respledent silver hair would undoubtly, at least to him, bring unnecessary and unwanted attention. He was wearing simple black pants and sneakers with a red and white tee. Zakuro yawned, noticed all the others that lingered around erraticly waiting for the academy doors to open. He decided to sit by his lonesome under the penumbra of a simplistic form of nature's beauty. With a detached expression resting upon his face and sitting under a tree, Zakuro began to tire. I wonder how this academy business'll turn out. He began thinking to himself. Will there be drama as there always is in a school setting? With these thoughts, Zakuro's eyes began to descend into an abyss of dreams.

Trace walked into the Main Square in a very quiet manner. He then looked around the place and saw others walking around here. His upright silver hair sticking up with a little strand covering his face.He begin walking towards a bench to sit on while he wait for the school doors to open.He was wearing a black short sleeved shirt with blue pants. He wondered what this day would bring. He knew one thing though,he was going to achieve what he came here for.

((I feel like it's the real world. At first we kinda sit here and smoke pot then we talk when we are so... nevermind XD))
Rin sat back up after the annoying thoughts of the monster that some thought he was, and searched through his pockets hoping he had a book. He wore the baggy pants when he could for books, and was already looking forward to putting patches in his clothing. He found one, and pulled it out. Then after flipping through some pages, he realized that his uncle and father must be lonely. His eye twitched for a second, after looking at a page that he didn't particularly know how to react to. He closed the book and looked at the cover to see the name of the book. "Exploring Sakura's Anatomy...," he said under his breath. "... ... ..." His eyes continued to twitch before he let out a surprised sound, tossing it accidently Lilyth, while he kicked away from the ground, pushing his hands trying to move.

((Sorry, but considering Rin is a teacher now, he should refrain from posting here. The staff are all inside preparing the opening ceremony.))
