Well its been almost 10 years since Pokemon Gold and Silver were released in the US, between then and now we have had several new Pokemon to collect and great to fun to be had. The only problem was since Gold and Silver were on the original gameboy handheld (technically released to the Gameboy color but whatever) it was not compatible with GBA so we couldn't get the Pokemon of the second generation, Nintendo then released Colosseum and XD on the GameCube to get the 2nd gen. Pokemon in the most back-a** roundabout way. Anyways like I was saying its been nine years since G/S have been released and coming out next year on the tenth anniversary (in Japan its coming out this year since just like G/S they came out a year earlier than us) of the games we get HeartGold and SoulSilver, the much needed remakes of the classic games. With these games we can finally get the next Pokemon 151-250, with the ease it should have been a long time ago. Hallowrise Fffffffuuuu~ Yes. D8 I was trying to resist the pull of it, but... .... I REALLY DO WANT~! gonk <3333333 Its a beautiful thing isn't it. New look, 4.5 generation gameplay (since it actually has few new things D/P/Pl does have), and apparently you can select a Pokemon on your team to walk behind you like Pikachu in Yellow), so much good stuff.

Hold on and let me check........:goes to wikipedia, ign, etc: For Japan its September 12, 2009 (coinciding with the tenth anniversary over there), and for the US sometime in Spring 2010, so probably around April to coincide with the tenth anniversary for G/S for the US, same for Europe.

Its been a while sense I played Gold or Crystal, and I cant wait to get HeartGold.

Wanna hear a sad story? When I went to the cave to capture Lugia I saved the game right before the battle like a sensible person normally would, then I spent something like 4 hours trying to weaken it to capture. After a while I ran into a shiny light purple Lugia and freaked. Unfortunately for me I poisoned it (or whatever drains 1-3 hp per turn) and the poor b*****d fought all the way through it. Every pokeball I had (I had them all except the masterball which I probably wasted on Suicune) and none worked, even at 1hp it fought it's way out, let out it's cry and fainted. I can't tell you how many ours I turned the on and off looking for another one, but I never saw one again.
And the moral of the story is, don't leave home without your masterballs kids. rofl
