Azure was almost to Dyas' cave, it had been a long, thoughtful walk out there. It wasn't like he hadn't already given the issue before him a lot of thought, it was just today was finally the day he had been planning, at least he hoped it was the day. He couldn't really guarantee anything. First, the issue was to talk to Raken though, and that was going to be the hardest part of the day, after that it'd be easy as pie. You would think the hardest part would be the thing he was planning to do at the end of the day, but honestly, Azure was more afraid of Raken's response then he was of Dyas saying no. He was confident she wouldn't. Oh great... now he was thinking about it: What if Dyas said no? Azure's throat tightened, he loved her, she loved him he just had to be confident this was all going to work out.

Now though, now Azure stared at the entrance of the cave. He just had to make it through this first part, then he could have a great day with Dyas. Azure peeked his head in the cave, and slowly his body followed. "R-Raken?" Azure called out, his voice echoing off the cave walls.

The male sat on the couch he had previously made from wood, a leisure book in his hands. It was a laid back day, with his daughter in her room with her own studies. After a filling rabbit lunch, they both were taking it easy for the evening. His book was a romance book, picked for reminding him of Ivy...Steel blue eyes flicked up. Of course it couldn't last. He set the book down and walked towards the entrance. "I know you were here the other day, Azure. I presume thats why you want me now?" An apology was the only reason he personally could think of.

Azure's eyes shot open slightly when he heard Raken's voice. Had Dyas already told him that he wanted to marry her? Azure wanted to slap himself on the forehead, instead he mentally slapped himself, Dyas probably hadn't told Raken about Azure wanting to marry her because Dyas could only talk through her shadows. "Uhm..." Azure dug through his mind, he had been planning how to talk to Raken as long as he had been planning the proposal and now all the words had left him. Azure stood up straight and tall, he couldn't be weak, he had to show that he was a worthy mate for Dyas. "Yes, I actually wanted to maybe sit down and talk with you." Azure decided to say. Sitting down had its pros and cons. A pro being that if Raken feinted Azure wouldn't get... in trouble... for Raken falling down... the con being that it would be much difficult for Azure to escape... Azure was regretting that idea now.

Instantly he became suspitious. It was big enough to sit down? The male guestured to the ground before sitting down right there in the cave entrance. "What do you want kid?" He eyed the other male. "You wouldn't be doing this unless it was important."

Azure slowly lowered himself to the ground, right near the entrance. Azure supposed that might make for an easier escape, perhaps his youth would allow him to jump up and run before Raken could reach over and strangle him. Azure scooted a little bit further away from Raken, he tried to make it look like he was just adjusting how he sat to be more comfortable. Now, now there was an awkward silence as Azure tried to get the words to come out of his mouth. C'mon just say it, say it, say it!!! Azure opened his mouth, nothing came out. He tried again: nothing. He frowned, why did this have to be so hard. "I..." Azure finally managed, well he had already started, he might as well finish. "I've come to ask you if I have your permission to Marry Dyas" Azure said after throwing his shoulders back, trying to look as firm and manly as possible, Raken always had a way of making him feel like a little boy anyways.

Raken watched the male carefully, secretly smug about how uncomfortable he made the other. He had done his job well. He was intimidating. And then, he spoke. But the words that came out of his mouth were not anything Raken expected. In fact, it was so unexpected, the demonic began to laugh. "You can't be serious. I must say...you're either brave, or stupid to pull a joke to me."

Azure frowned when Raken started laughing at him. He had worked so hard to say that!! He wanted to yell at Raken, but he didn't want to die so he kept his composure. "I am very serious. I want to marry your daughter and I believe she wants to marry me too." Azure said firmly to show that it wasn't a joke.

His laughter silenced as though cut with a knife. Eyes narrowed onto the male as his body began to tense. "And if you do marry her, what will happen then? Have you made a home for her to live? Are you mature enough to have children and raise a family? Are you efficient enough with your power to protect her from harm?"

Azure was silent. Questions? He hadn't been anticipating questions. A long lecture and a yes or no, but questions? His mind was busy trying to think up answers, not only for Raken, but for his own wonderings, he of course had never thought about stuff like this. He just knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Dyas. You only ever hear that things go happily ever after, but you don't really know what happens after. One question at a time. "I could take her back to headquarters with me. Or I could spend our entire engagement working on a home for the two of us... with room for more..." he added on. He stopped there, thinking about the next question. "Well I raised my sister Trager and myself, so I think I will do just fine raising a family." That was true, Azure was now confident that he could be a father now that he had thought about it. Now power... that was a rough thing. He had never experimented with his power and he was pretty sure it was gone now. He decided to ignore that question, he would do anything to protect Dyas though.

He listened, but every answer increased his anger. He wanted to throttle the angel. "You haven't even made a home for you two? I moved out of the headquarters with her. Going back would only surround her in a world she doesn't know." Dyas was used to catching her own meals in the forest. Being in such a fluffy place...where everything was handed to her...she'd be treated as an oddity. A uncivilized creature. No, she couldn't go there. "And don't think i didn't catch that you ignored the last question. I have a sister who will kill her if she ever thought that Dyas was vulnerable."

Azure got defensive, feeling insulted by Raken, but he was going to try and keep his cool. "I honestly hadn't thought about a lot of your questions. So I'm glad you brought them up. I promise that I will slave a way making or finding a home for us to live in that's not HQ. I would do anything to make her happy and comfortable." Azure pleaded. He wouldn't take no as an answer from Raken. "I don't have a power, I'm sorry. But you underestimate how powerful Dyas is." Azure wanted to be the one to protect Dyas, but he didn't know anything about her aunt other then she was dangerous and they weren't supposed to go into Dragnid.

"Then make her a home before you stupidly run off with dreams of a happy ending." He spoke harshly, the shadows around him beginning to boil at the mention of his sister. "Dyas' power is still vastly undeveloped. I myself don't dare challenge Amara. Her power is weak, but she is intelligent and cruel. Doesn't matter if you attack night or day...she'll find you with her x-ray vision. And if you aren't careful, she'll turn your head around so far you forget why you're even there. If you think that I am dangerous, you will never let Amara near Dyas. Even if it means your own lifes sacrifice."

Azure sighed, this wasn't going anywhere good, if anything he was making his case even worse. "I already said I would make her a home before we got married..." he was frustrated, he felt like Raken wasn't listening to him at all. "I promise, I will keep Dyas away from Amara" Azure said with every bit of seriousness. He loved Dyas, he didn't want to take any chance of her getting hurt in any way. "You were the one who suggested that me and Dyas get married when we were teens and I am ready to make that commitment to her... please sir..." Azure pleaded.

...He did tell Azure to marry his daughter earlier, didn't he? Then again, he never actually believed he would. Slowly, the shadows began to disapate and the male exhaled. "You had perfect timing Azure." Raken shook his head. "I've started dating myself. I hate myself for it, but when I'm with her, i can't help myself." Slowly the demonic stood, holding out his hand to Azure. Though he still looked like he wanted to be able to shoot lasers out from his eyes. "As long as you keep those commitments you just made to me, you have my permission."

Azure was silent and stared at Raken, simply blinking. Once he realzied he was staring he looked away, but he was amazed that Raken was actually opening up with him. So did that mean he got to call Raken Dad now? Azure decided not to push it. "That's how it is... you just can't control it... even when other people or yourself tell you not to." Azure was speaking from his own experiences, Raken telling Azure not to love Dyas never helped him not love her. "Thank you." Azure smiled and bowed his head. Now he only needed Dyas' permission.
