General

*You have to obey the Gaia guild and Gaia forum rules - that is basic

*Before starting to RP, please post your character's profile into the profile subforum. Wait for one od the mods to review it, suggest corrections and in the end approve it. DO NOT add the * sign in front of your character's name! A crew member will add it after your profile has been approved!

*Respect your fellow RP-ers. Joking around with someone is one thing, but don't get offensive, or we will be forced to ban you.

*No arguing with the crew - if you're disagree with a mod's decision, don't argue, just get a third partie's opinion (preferably mine, if it's really a dispute between a member and the crew).

*Try being original and inovative - no copyrighted characters from Bleach or any other anime/manga please. Also, when using a character you have already used in another guild, inform us - if you're caught using someone else's character you will be punished.

*No Godmodding! Remember, godmodding is only acceptable as a tool for training or plot development (and even that in small doses).

*No auto-hitting! Nobody likes their character being controlled by someone else. Again, auto-hitting is only acceptable as a tool for training or plot development.

*Though we will accept all who show interest in joining this guild, not matter how much rp experience they have and what their literacy level is, we would appreciate it, if you'd at least try writting so we will able to comprehend what you were saying: punctuation, capitals at the start of a sentence, paragraphs, quotation marks with bald print, italic and so on, are not so difficult to use. If you however, really don't know how to write appropriately, try reading through other people's posts first and compare them to yours, try gaia's role-playing academy (they have it all really nicely explained) and please inform the crew about your problem - we're here to help!

*One liners and extremely short posts are not desired here - it can happen from time to time, but try avoiding too short posts. If you do it too often, you will be warned and even banished after a while.

*If you have any questions, please pm the crew - as I've said before, we're here to help you, so don't be shy, we don't bite (at least not over the web ^^).

When you start

*All the students will start from scratch and basically from the same level (aka you're more talented for one of the three things you had to decide on, but you don't have any experience, no abilities, nothing)

*First of all you will be assigned to one of the dorm houses (either Dango or Senbei) depending on your character's characteristics (the headmistress and her deputy will decide where you go). Also, in the dorm, you will be assigned to a room, which you will share with another RPer (again, the headmistress and deputy will decide who you'll live with). Men and women WON'T be sleeping in separate houses, there might even be rooms in which a male and a female will live together. You may have relationships with other characters however, this is no excuse for cybering or any sort of other smut - keep it pg-13, or you'll get punished!

*Regarding classes: You cannot graduate without completing ALL 6 Theory classes and the first class of the 3 other subjects. Since you will be divided into two major groups (the two houses) you will be attending classes the same way. Look at the third post to see an example, to make it clearer.

*Each subject will have 6-8 classes, each class will last 1-3 lessons. We decided to make a lesson last 5 real-life days (Monday to Friday) and during the real-life weekends your characters will have breaks to explore their surroundings and get to know the other students.

*Note that this is guild is really going to function like an actual school. We will have lesson with real curriculums, you will have to read passages from books (aka you will get links to Bleach Wiki and similar), you will even have to know a few things which are mentioned in the Arrancar Encyclopedia at the end of the anime episodes.

*After your character has completed 3 or 4 classes (which should take 10-12 RL weeks), we will take a short break (maybe a week or two) in which the teachers will offer intensive preparations for the half-term examinations. In the week we will decide on, the examinations for all students will be held. At the end, your character will either pass or fail, like in real life.

*Something worth mentioning is also: this Shinigami Academy is going to be a bit special. We will teach you kidou higher than #10, flashstep, you will ALL be able to learn shikai, and some of the talented and really diligent ones will also achieve bankai. So don't slack off!

*You are to update your profile regularly! Every class you have accomplished, your half-term grades and similar HAVE to be on your profile.

*Watch out for the guild announcements! The headmistress loves dances, picnics and stuff like that, which means she might decide on taking the students with her somewhere or organize a dance or something similar.

*Also keep an eye out for plot updates. Of course we'll have a red string, which will keep the RP alive and interesting. And FYI: our plot is actually already typed down and solid, which means no messing around and unnecessary changes or re-sets mid-game because of misunderstandings or because everything got too complicated.

Classes

So the following classes are available at the Shinigami Academy:

-Theory (6 classes)
-Kidou (7 classes)
-Swordsmanship (7 classes)
-Hand-to-hand (7 classes)
Each of the classes lasts 1-3 lessons (depends on the teacher)

You need to attend ALL the Theory classes and the first class of each of the remaining subjects (6 Theory, 1st Kidou, 1st Swordsmanship, 1st Hand-to-hand).

Since all of the students will be split into 2 houses, you will attend the classes in two groups.

Example:
It was decided that Dango will be attending the Theory classes first and Senbei will be completing the 1st classes of the remaining subjects. After that, the houses will switch. This should take quite a few RL weeks to complete. Now the time tables change a bit, and become more specific for each student. Dango will again attend Theory classes, this time the last three of them, the residents of Senbei however, will decide on ONE of the remaining classes they will join (so Senbei splits into 3 smaller groups). They will complete 3 classes of one of the other subjects and the houses will switch again. The whole story repeats. At this point the first examinations will be held. I they pass, the students are now free of Theory classes and can start attending the classes they desire.

I know it seems quite complicated, especially since it's very hard to put all of this in sensible sentences. To make things clearer I have written down a specific example:

*John Doe is a student at the Shinigami Academy and resides in the house Dango and this is how his education process will look like:

-1st 3 Theory classes [Shinigami, Human, Hollow]

-1st Kidou class [Reitasu control]
-1st Hand-to-hand combat class [Lesson 1]
-1st Swordsmanship class [Lesson 1]

-2nd 3 Theory classes* [Bount, Quincy, Vizard]
*up until this point he didn't get to choose anything, now he can

-Next 3 Kidou classes [1st Hado, 1st Bakudo, Byakurai] (Joe decided he likes Kidou best)
______________________________________________

EXAMINATION WEEK
______________________________________________

-Last 3 Kidou classes [Hainawa, Seki, Geki] (Joe REALLY likes Kidou)

-Next 3 Swordsmanship classes [Lessons 2, 3 & 4]

-Last 3 Swordsmanship classes** [Lessons 5, 6 & 7]
**At this point Joe can stop, if he wants to. You can graduate from SA without completing one of the 3 optional classes. In Joe’s case he completed all the Theory, Kidou and Swordsmanship classes and the 1st Hand-to-hand combat class, which qualifies him as a graduate (though this is considered graduation achieving only the minimum). He will have to wait however a few weeks for his fellow students to complete their classes.

(-Next 3 Hand-to-hand combat classes [Lessons 2, 3 & 4]

-Last 3 Hand-to-hand combat classes [Lessons 5, 6 & 7])***
***these are optional, he can attend them, but doesn't need to
______________________________________________

FINAL EXAMINATION****
______________________________________________
****If Joe passes, he can attend the graduation ceremony and become a member of the Gotei 13.

Note, that during the education process, our plot will be unfolding, to make the whole thing a bit more interesting!

I hope this makes the whole thing clearer, if not, aks and we'll try to explain it diferently (Good Lord, this was a b***h to write :/)
