Silver sat in the middle of the bottom floor of the hq. The hilt of his sword, the biggest remaining piece, sat in front of him on a table, and a bag of the remaining shards sat next to him. It was almost like a jigsaw puzzle. He laid out a piece, seeing where it might fit, and how.

((Airi is not somebody who will waltz over to the HQ fridge, saying hi in the process. sorry. this will take effort on Silver's part))
The social area of the surprisingly roomy house on the hill was empty, save, of course, for Calcifer, who was contently crackling to himself in the fireplace, dining on some spicy mesquite logs. The room itself was in a bit of a mess, with various pizza boxes, plastic cups and potato chip bags strewn about. No-one has really cleaned up the place in a while and the fairies where fed up with being burdened with janitorial duties. Aside from one. A grumpy looking green creature with fluorescently neon wings buzzed out through an open window and stopped, surveying the mess and the only scape goat.
"You." - she dive bombed Silver. "Explain this."
She resolutely pointed at the garbage.

Silver looked up, blinking a moment "I....don't know? I havn't been here in a while. i stopped by to see if I could find Airi again. But she's hiding, like usual it seems. Would you like help cleaning up?" He stood, scooping the shards back into their bag with tags attached to the ones he'd already found spots for, the hilt going into the bag as well.

The fluorescent fairy gained in altitude to appear more impressive, her neon green wings buzzing with indignation. "Help? HELP? What do you expect - I take out a magic wand and wave it around? Sing a little magical song? It's manual labor, buster. And you are far better at it then me." - she finished with a resolute nod of her head.
"What do you want from the Fair Mistress, anyway" - the fairy added after a moment, still huffing: "This is no place for her, messy as it is - why WOULD she come out here?"

"Well, i don't know exactly where she stays, so I came to the closest place I could find. And I need to talk to her about things that have happened." He gave a faint shrug, and started to pick up the garbage, throwing it away.

Seemingly pleased that the burly wolfman was in fact obeying her orders, the fluorescent fairy crossed her arms on the chest and sighed: "Mmmm ... okey. I will tell the Lady that you wish to talk to her ..."
"There is no need" - said the childish voice from above. Airi, in her pale splendor, the iridescent hair hanging down past her legs now, was sitting on the railing of the little balcony above the fireplace, in front of the stained glass windows which led to her hidden garden. "Silver ..." - she nodded her head in a greeting and acknowledgment.
"Lady!" - the fairy exclaimed, flying up to the girl and settling down on her shoulder. Airi touched the fairy absentmindedly with her left hand, caressing the dainty creature.

Silver looked up, blinking a moment, and nodding back to Airi as he put some more garbage into the garbage bag. "Nice to see you out and about Lady." He set down the bag next to the garbage bin in the kitchen, then stepped back into the common room. "Have you time to talk?"

Silver Walked over to the floor under the balcony, and streached up, snagging his fingers on the edge of the railing, and lifted, grunting a moment in exertion as he climbed over the edge of the railing, dropping to a crouch, almost kneeling at her feet. Almost. It has been some time. I have heard and learned many things in the meantime. It has brought doubts to my heart, so I came to talk to you to ease them, or clarify them."

The dainty balcony screeched and strained from the weight of the wolfman and the dream child jumped up, standing on the railing now, her right hand leaning against the stained glass window. Airi hadn't expected that. She didn't think that she was reachable up here and the feeling of security the distance was giving her now vanished. She opened her mouth, unsure how to respond to Silver's words. He didn't really ask a question.
While her mistress hesitated, the practical green fairy flared up, flying to shield her lady and prevent structural damage to the HQ: "You are too heavy. Get off!"

Silver gave a chuckle at the Fairy, and dropped back down to the floor of the HQ, giving a roll to absorb the impact, standing again. His two eyes, one of liquid silver, the other normal but ice blue, watched Airi. "What are your plans for the children you brought forth, walking the path you do. What is your tie to Chaos? A rift has formed between the Fa'e, a debate over what it is you try to do. I pledged my sword to you once, but I will not raise a hand against another fae if you order me to, even if it means breaking my word." He remained kneeling, but watched her, not hostile, but intent, as if to see what she would say, would do.

Airi still stood on the railing, the long white dress obscuring her toes and cascading down the to the floor. Her mouth became a thin line as she listened to Silver's words.
"The first two questions you ask I cannot answer." - she paused, the big blue eyes narrowed at Silver. Breathing in, Airi seemed to relax though, and explained her resolute refusal to speak on the subject in a calmer voice. "At least not yet, for you are not powerful enough to help me and not wise enough to understand."
She was all too aware of the rift betewen the Fa'e regarding the Chaos matter, but if she was to interfere with their decisions, as unfortunate as it was that many hated her for it, then the choice of the Fa'e would be not free. Airi was still hesitant forcing her goals on others, preferring to wait when true power had gathered in them again and pleading her case then. She touche her chest absentmindedly, then looked down at Silver again.
"And for your last concern, though you offered your sword willingly, without me prompting you, I have never asked you to raise it against another being. Especially not a Fa'e. And calm yourself, I never will."

Silver closed his eyes a moment, taking a deep breath. "Then what would you have your warrior do my lady. I have been without purpose for a long period, and I would seek action again, seek a direction to travel."

This question, too, caught Airi of guard. What WOULD she have him do? Grow ... become more powerful ... reclaim one's strength and majesty of old so that then she may borrow that power for the most epic battle of all. Or not. While her determination to free Chaos had not changed, the dream child has become more aware of the possible repercussions of her actions, if the plan to restore Chaos to his former self went awry. And the worlds that have flourished after everyone learned how to dream were wonderful in their own right and it would be a shame to take away that power. Yet would she be strong enough to stand up to the rage of a freed Chaos without reclaiming her own power? Airi doubted that. But the pause was dragging out and something needed to be said to the wolfman below her.
"A purpose?" - she asked him back. "A fa'e purpose is to grow and become more powerful, or choose the mortal life and give others a second chance. What were you before you died? Your self didn't choose to be reborn if it was content with the outcomes of it's former life. Have you resolved them?"

"I...was a guardian. One that guarded places, people, things. Struck down the foes that stood in the way of the one i followed. Took the blows meant for them." He paused, as if in thought. "My last ward has moved on. Started her own life. I've sworn to guard the fae, but they don't need me all that much. Do they need me to guard them? I don't know." He stood, looking pensive a moment. "What does a guardian without something to guard do?"
