These is a vast field that includes a small forest like set up. There is a target practice area, water walking field Ninjutsu practice area, and pretty much everything else that people would need to for their training. The field is surrounded by a huge wall and there is only one entrance, this is to protect people from everything that goes on in there.
These training grounds are not used only for training though, sometimes when young or experienced ninja attempt to create a new Jutsu they come here to test it to see how far they've reached in it's development, or to see if it works like it's supposed to. Sometimes they just test it to see how it works.
Genin usually are seen running around here, but you can see a lot of Chuunin too. The Jonin and higher rank ninja that are seen here are usually just supervising.
