Okay I have a problem with my pores. They get filled with dirt and such and make little black/gray specks all over my face!
(crappy lighting. stare )
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
ANYWAY! over half of them never form zits/pimples/whatever everyone calls them now
But if i pinch at the skin around it (like poping a zit) a zit pus will come out(GROSS!)
But that seems to be the only way to get them clear! crying
EEEW!!!
And when I clear a whole lot of them and rinse my face off(with soap and water to keep them from getting reclogged by said pus) the area I "cleaned" is all red!

I was wondering, if anyone else has/had this problem and if anyone knows of an all natural solution to rid it from my face!
I was pondering about trying a salt scrub or something but I dunno if that'd work, the pus is IN my skin! (gross!)

I've got a similar problem. My mom always called it "large pores" because the pores collect and hold gunk I guess. They make special tools for removing the gunk and that's the only thing I've tried that really works, but then I have a red nose for a day and it always comes back.

Ugh! I get those too. I would try using a gentle exfoliate (I have some St. Ives one because I was el Cheapo at the moment).

What I found to be the absolute best on stuff like this is Kiss My Face's moisturizer with alpha hydroxy. The bottle has lasted me about a year and my face still likes it. (Instead of going greasy half way through.) I'm going to branch out with different brands but keep the alpha hydroxy part and I'll let you know how the other brands go.

And I was just looking on Peta and saw Kiss My Face is also a company that dosen't do animal testing! I'll have to scope out where to score some of their products in my town and get it!!! 3nodding

I put a hot and wet towel on my nose and it was sorta cleared. But it was red and shiny and still blackheadish.

Biore makes pore cleansing strips that are for that, I think. I'm pretty sure they're not natural, though... I bought a box and used them and between them and exfoliating it got rid of almost all of those annoying pore-thingies. I don't know if any other (possibly more natural) brands makes these, I haven't looked cuz I haven't had the money to spend on pretty things in a while...

When you use it you wet your nose/face (I'm pretty sure there are ones for your face too) and put the strip thing on it, then when it dries you peel it off. The sticky stuff on the strip attaches to the dirt and stuff, so the dirt looks like a million little trees on the strip o.o It makes my nose red for maybe ten mnutes afterward, but nothing seriously bad happens.

i think you can just brush your pores with white elmer's glue and let it dry a bit. than you can peel it off.

the elmer's glue thing actually doesn't work, Dr Oz debunked that myth on his show.
the seacret facial peeling gel i got has already made my pores appear smaller & less clogged... the mud mask also helps. so maybe a mud mask?

A homemade alternative to those strips (although not vegan) is... 1 tablespoon unflavored gelitin/jello + 1 tablespoon milk (any kind). stir then microwave for 10 seconds, stir until it's a goopy gel and has cooled enough to put on your skin. cover any parts of your face, it makes enough to cover most of your face, if you only want to do your nose you might try making less. wait 15 minutes or until dry then peel off. warnings: it STINKS LIKE PUKE and it can hurt a bit peeling it off and will still make your skin red but shouldn't last as long as the redness from squishing with your nails. I have the same problem and used to buy those poor cleaning strips but they are awfully expensive and full of other chemicals. I haven't bought any unflavored gelatin to try this out myself but found a youtube video where many people had done it. good luck, I recommend only doing a small portion of your face like your chin just to test it, before you do the whole thing.

I am going to try the honey method you posted since I have a jar of organic raw honey 3nodding

Wash your face, then use Witch hazel as an astringent.
It minimizes the pores and if you use it on an oily face it also brings up the dirt that was in your pores.

Woah xD This thread has taken off since I've left! biggrin

But yeah, Obviously, I don't plan to try the gelatin suggestion, but it could be of use to an omni or two in the guild!

But I'm going to try the witch hazel next, my face is oily too D:
