(( Quick reminder: Adult HP: 24 Adol HP: 18 1 - missed hit 2-3 - half hit 4-5 - full hit 6 - double hit Roll one 6-sided dice each time you post. Update your HP at the start of every post. Each full hit does 2 damage. so if you roll a 2, it does 1 damage. if you roll a 6, it does 4 damage. To determine who goes first, you each will roll one 10-sided dice. The one with the highest roll will go first. The match is over as soon as someone's HP hits zero. You have one week to finish. Whomever holds up the RP will forfeit if it remains unfinished. At least, that's what Unas'tisgi told himself as he bounced from paw to paw like a cub, eager for the match to begin.
In the mean time, though, Unas'tisgi couldn't help but to look at the crowd that had gathered to watch. He couldn't help but to puff up, squaring his shoulders and lifting his chin in hopes of striking a heroic pose. It seemed like all eyes were on him, that the gathered lions held their breath as this new member of the Mantis clan was going to put his name and clan on the line in the sake of honor and...
...okay, okay. All Unas'tisgi was here for was for bragging rights and to get a few lionesses to look his way. And to show off, of course! He was the best of the best! And -- wait, were they starting now? He tore his gaze away from the crowd and focused on his opponent, beginning a slow circle. Crowds ate up tension like this, didn't they? He hoped so.

 Sinuhe HP: 24 Dice Roll: For first go Sinuhe waited calmly for the match to begin.
He was a hunter at heart not a fighter. He’d only once had cause to fight in earnest when he was a rogue, in defence of his life, but besides that had never had to defend it again or fought to stake a claim. All his very few conflicts had been settled relatively peacefully besides that incident. Being a large and obviously athletic lion had helped as a rogue to avoid conflict. Most with just snarls, roars and posturing, with very rare slashes or warning bites before one or the other retreated… no, no real fighting at all save that time. He’d obviously (given that he was still alive) succeeded the one time he’d really fought, but Sinuhe’s main fighting experiences were as a cub, tugging on his siblings ears and biting tails.
Still, he’d give it a go and give it his best! For the fun of it, for it being a new experience and practise of barely used skills. And because he was now Ela’wadiyi and this was their festival, part of their culture. He wanted to take part in all he could.
So he just smiled, as the start was announced and they began to circle.

He was the best! He was going to fight! Yeeaa--aawwh meerkat tunnels. His opponent was calm, cool, and collected! Unas'tisgi, in comparison, was a bit scruffier, smaller, and -- was he a bit smelly? Maybe he shouldn't have taken that dust bath earlier in his eagerness for the match. But it wasn't that bad, right? Right?!
He shook his head and circled, focusing his attention on the situation right before him. With a short growl, he rushed at Sinhue and slashed!

In his eagerness, Unas'tisgi misjudged the distance between them, falling a paw-step too short for a solid hit.
