They mostly just call me by my last name, Oberst... some of the band call me Starberst. (I'm a guardie and former clarinet player.)
Another guard girl is called dragon cause our coach was like, "KAYLA, your dragging!" And Bailey mis-heard her and was like, "Did you just call her a dragon?"

an adjudicator called me the saboon instead of bassoon because he thought he was funny,a nd my firends decided it should be my new nickname.

We piccolos are usually addressed as the tuning instrument of death. Or the dog whistle. smile
Never in tune and proud. XD That's mostly because I'm playing a WOODEN piccolo in marching band. A wooden piccolo that has been sat on and snapped in half by someone who already graduated. D:
One of our drum majors, Hub, was the section leader of the trumpets last year. He gave every one a nickname. This year, he's doing the same to the trumpets. I think the best nickname is "Snickers". smile I actually think the guy above that posted about it might be him.... O.o
Last day of band camp, Hub spray painted a red S in his hair on his head. smile And ran around with him in circles for everyone to see his "Snickers".
Then there's the mellis. XD Nick tries to be Hub, so Miguel has ever changing nicknames. One day it was "Apple". I believe yesterday he said something about "Passion Fruit"...

all I had to do to get that nickname was wear a vampire shirt the first day of band camp... No one really uses my nickname though.
