Who: Anyone related to the Elrics and their friends. Where: In front of Trel's house. When: When the second Elric litter were still kits. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  It was fall, a season that Edward Elric didn't mind in the least. The trees were in their beautiful colors of red and gold, colors that were often reflected in his own family. The leaves that fell around him and walked upon matched both his red coat and blonde hair. The crunching of the dry, dead vegetation being easily heard as he tromped through the woods towards home. He had sparred with Alphonse earlier that morning, and he had convinced his brother to stop by for lunch, as well. With Al now being around in this world, Edward felt as if his life was really falling into place here in this strange world. The absence of his brother had left quite a hole that was now filled. Just as the house came into view, Edward sighed to himself. "Man, why does Al always win? I'm going to be sore for a week." Before he could go inside though, he heard a shout from around the corner.   "There he is!" "GET HIM!" It was then that William and Nina came running around the corner. Edward could only stare in horrow, his hair and fur standing on end as they lept for him. His adult son being the first to land on him with a big flop, soon followed by his kit daughter.

 Shortly after that Morgan popped out the front door, having heard her siblings and seen the antics from a window. She hopped off the steps and landed next to the familial pile and promptly latched onto Ed's ear. Gently, of course. She uttered what was obviously a greeting, and might have been a very muffled, "Hi Daddy!"

 Two tiny golden eyes blinked excitedly from a small pile consisting of fallen leaves and various-sized twigs from about....oh, let's say five feet from the growing pile of kitsu relatives. The pile shivered as the kit "hidden" inside tried so very hard not to give away her hiding spot. She had been outside playing in the leaves when everyone was suddenly outside, and soon thereafter realized that this could be a very fun ambush opportunity. So, during the commotion, she nestled down in her leaf-pile and sat as still as possible. She was the ever-so-clever hunter, oh yes, and her prey was just before her! Best of all, it had no idea she was there! Mwuahahahahaha!
....of course, her daddy could have seen her before he got tackled, but...psht, silly! He'd never notice something like that! She looked so much like the leaves, after all.
The self proclaimed master-of-disguise, otherwise known as Khezi, continued watching from her little leaf pile as her father was tackled and nom'd and virtually pinned to the ground by her siblings. Her little butt wiggled a section of leaves as she prepared to pounce, waiting until Morgan had gotten a good latch on their daddy's ear before springing from the pile with a mighty "Rawr!", little wings outstretched (though hardly making any difference...other than possibly holding her back). She landed and bounded forward to crouch in front of her father's face and put her nose to his, eyes wide and playful.
"Hey daddy! I surprised you, didn't I? If this were tag, you would so be it." she babbled, her tails twitching excitedly.

Stretched out on the ground, his face planted in the dirt, Edward Elric had been literally dog piled. A muffled whining voice came from him as he groaned. "Make that a month."
Lifting his head, Ed spat some dirt out of his mouth just as his ear was tugged on by yet another of his offspring. Then a fourth suddenly appeared right in front of him and he blinked before letting out a sigh. "You know, there's gotta be a law somewhere against being beat by your kids."
He then grinned broadly at Khezi. "Yep, you sure got me!"
He tried to move but found himself securely pinned under his son's weight. Edward couldn't help a grimace. There had to be a law against your kids being bigger than you too.
William laughed and finally relented,letting his father get up. Nina giggled and bounced over next to her sisters. "Daddy daddy! You should see what Will made! His alchemy is getting better all the time!" William sweatdropped, "Its not that great." "Is too!"

Morgan was actually just a bit smaller than Ed, but she had just as big a personality to make up for it. She let go of her father's ear and offered him a paw up. "We're not beating you yet, Dad! This was just a display of affection." She stuck her tongue out at him.
She hoisted Nina up and plopped her baby sister atop her own head. "Pfft, Nina's got very discerning taste, Will, I'm sure it's great." She moved over to give his ear a teasing nom now that they'd all let their father right himself. "You want a ride, too, Khezi?" It was silly but she loved letting her little siblings climb on her.

Eh, what was all that commotion? Curious ears flitted up as the boy turned his head, recognizing some voices in the chaos around the corner. It didn't wound distressing, but all the same he must investigate! The kit kit bolted to his feet and dashed off, only to skid to a halt before making the turn. Wait, his project! Edwin gasped as he glanced back, noticing his abandoned toy. An item with shaped slots and nobs like a 3d puzzle to solve.
Biting his lip, the kitsu paused for a brief moment. Well....no one should really take it while he was gone, right? Finding that idea best, he then continued his run towards what he knew to be his family. And it was, a whole group of them!
"Papa! 'N look it's Mory with Nini and Khez too!" His feathery wings shook with joy as he too leapt up to lap kindly at each of his kin's noses.

"Will made something?!"
That seemed terribly interesting until Morgan said "You want a ride?", and then it was Morgan who seemed terribly interesting. Ah, how quickly things change. Khezi bounced up and down exclaiming "Yeahyeah! I do!". She loved her big sister Morgan. Khezi could easily say that Morgan was her favorite. Of course, Khezi was in the stage of her life where one could be her bff for life one minute and her worst I'm-never-talking-to-you-again enemy within five more minutes, so...that might not mean much. But still!
Khezi's head jerked to the side to watch Edwin bound onto the scene, her eyes brightening even more. She so loved being with her family, especially when there were big brothers and sisters AND little brothers and sisters, and everyone wanted to play! Well, maybe daddy didn't, but...that's ok, because it was easy to tackle him and play anyway.

((*headtilts* Time before or after the boys find Trisha? I'll try to write ambiguously in that manner until I know. wink *hugs* You would start this rp while I was busy getting Theron started in Kindergarten and was awol! lol))  A large gaping hole in a sea of black opened to reveal small kit-teeth around a pink tongue as a boy twin yawned inside the house. The gold bands on his ears seemed to wriggle as the mostly ebony ears twitched at the sound of... family, lots of them, playing outside. The white underside of his ears showed then as they perked upwards, golden eyes breaking the expanse of light-sucking black fur beneath where red bangs had fallen haphazardly across his face. Veritas glanced around the room keeping oddly still for a kit. Where was she? He wondered, mildly afraid. Although he liked to play with his cousin (it was easier just to call her cousin than always remember the specific kind of cousin) Veritas would rather avoid Death today, if possible. "She's over at the Place... looking for Josh." The soft voice giggled with conspiracy from the doorway, green eyes watching her little brother with quiet interest. Really... his paws seemed far too large for his small size. Silently the petite kitsusagi who once was the 'baby' of her family padded towards this one of her younger siblings. He looked about to speak then quickly clamped his too-big paws over his maw, gold eyes opening wide in horror of what he nearly did. Aurum giggled. Yes... best not to mention any aspect of FarFar's name aloud -one never knew when it might call the mad kitsu that was their cousin. Oh, they loved her, they really did, but sometimes it was nice to get a break from her attentions. "Come on, Veritas! Some of the others are already playing with Daddy!"Aurum grinned as the paws came down and the kit smiled brightly getting those paws beneath him to hop upright and bound eagerly after her, chasing her white & gold tails with playful nips as they both laughed. Yes... she needed this. Time with family playing was always good to distract her from her thoughts. Spotting something that looked like it was Edwin's Aurum paused to cast a protective shield over the little work-in-progress. Although likely no one would intentionally harm it, she worried nonetheless and had no wish to see her little brother's disappointed face should an accident befall it. Then she frolicked out the front door, laughing as she circled around the kit following her in time for said kit to grip his paws into the ground for speed. His wings were folded tightly back over his coat as Veritas made a bee-line for the group formed around their father. He had missed the daddy-pile!! hmph! No matter... Veritas would have fun 'beating' his father too -by barreling into his shoulder, tongue lolling out of his mouth in a happy kit-grin. "DAD!"Giggling, Aurum pranced to her elder brother's side and sat on her haunches with her white gold tails wagging like a peacock's pride behind her as she nuzzled his head with her shoulder. "I bet it is great." She said with pride, taking Nina's side with a grin and a wink. "William's much too humble... must get that from Mom...." Aurum teased both father and brother lovingly, her green eyes sparkling with adoration and mirth. She licked Edwin's nose in greeting and giggled seeing Morgan & Khezi's conversation -waiting to see the coming ride. "Mom's finishing a potion with Grandaddy." Aurum relayed, just because. She had been tempted to help... but Remus had looked into her eyes with his dark ones that seemed to see so deeply and quietly told her that she could assist another time. His little granddaughter had shivered, a soft look in her green eyes almost feeling he could guess that which was troubling her heart that even she could not place yet and she had nodded & easily obeyed. Sighing thoughtfully Aurum leaned on the oldest's shoulder as she watched the others with a soft smile. It was so easy... to love their family. Days like this were cherished.

(( Before, since we haven't finished that yet, Trel. X3 Kat needs to post in that one. 8D But then, I'm not one to talk. ))
The whole gang seemed to be showing up rather quickly, and Edward found himself very glad that they all hadn't piled onto him! Then Veritas came running at him and instead of running into his shoulder, Ed caught the kit in his arms instead and tumbled over backward, laughing.
William chuckled and rubbed his head with a paw sheepishly at all the assurances that what he had made must be good. After all, none of them except Nina hadn't even looked yet.
Actually, his son's modesty reminded him of Alphonse too. Then Ed realized that implications of Aurum's words.
"Hey! Are you saying I'm not humble?"
William and Nina both couldn't help but laugh at their father's protesting. With the latter of the two deciding to worm her way into daddy's embrace along with Veritas. She couldn't be left out after all!
Ed's ears perked up as Aurum mentioned that Lilianna was working on another potion with her father. He idly wondered what kind they were working on this time, but he would let them be for now. After all, he didn't really know much about magic anyway. He had often thought of it as being really unscientific, but it was proven to work, so those feelings had eventually faded.

Well! It would seem that Khezi was replacing Nina atop her head. That is unless Khezi decided she wanted to try and snuggle Edward, as well. Morgan decided it would just be easier to flop down on the ground where the kits could scramble up if they so desired. "If anyone wants a ride you better get on soon! This train is leaving in two minutes!" She grinned playfully before returning kisses to Edwin and wagging her tails at Aurum. "So what has Will gone and done, Nina?" She'd laugh a bit at her father's reaction to Aurum's teasing but she decided not to say anything. It was funnier this way, in her opinion.

((There's not much for me to post, but...I'll do what I can xD))
Khezi scrambled and struggled to get atop Morgan's "train", being of a tiny form made that a bit difficult. Once she succeeded, the little kit found that standing on another creature's back was not as easy as it looked...and promptly plopped her little butt down into a sitting position, where she oh-so-patiently awaited the train's movement. Her too-big-for-her-head ears swiveled to and fro as more and more family members entered the party and the conversation, paying special attention to the mention of mommy.
"...is mommy coming out to play?" she asked, clearly not catching the part about her being busy.

Veritas' mouth curved in a huge smile and he laughed as he was caught -even if it was not the original effect he was going for. Still win-win because he was playing with his father and they were having fun. Even better when his cute sunset sister joined them. Though he was still kind of blinking while laughing about their father's question. Laughing too much to make any sort of comment.
Sitting sweetly beside their oldest sibling Aurum had put one dainty white-gloved paw to her mouth to cover her giggles politely though her eyes. "Am I?" Laughter danced in her green eyes unhidden. Still giggling behind her paw the former youngest Elric turned her head to Khezi to answer the kit's question. "I think so, and maybe Granddaddy too." Then her eyes were mostly back on their father for she had teased him pretty badly and it was not really like her to do so. But... well come on! Edward was THE FullMetal Alchemist and he knew it! Aurum loved all his stories and teachings and was proud of him and that he was her father.
Her green gaze did flick curiously but patiently to her eldest brother though, as if to mirror Morgan's words in her interest to know what it was he had been working on. There was a soft feeling of mild disappointment that she did not know about it already... but the white and gold female knew she had been often lost in her own thoughts and things lately.

 Alphonse hung around the back of the yard, having returned to the house before his brother had. A huge victorious smile resided on his face that he simply could not hide even if he had wanted to. A sparring match with his brother had left him worn out, but very happy and content. It had been an immense source of fun, and now the only thing Al could do was smile while he caught his breath. Then, he heard the voice of two familiar youngsters and he laughed all over again as he watched William and Nina tackle their father. He laughed even more as those two were joined by a third, and then more, he couldn't help but rise to his feet, wandering over to the pile.
"I'd like to see you get out of that one, brother." He chuckled. "They really got you beat there. Now if I had that many against me earlier, you might have won." He wiggled his ears in a teasing manner, looking sly. "Mmmmight have, brother. Not saying you actually would. You and all them... still not a match against me." A big playful grin grew across his face. "Though, I don't actually advise you do that..." Meanwhile, a tiny nervous kit did not join the pile-up. The loudness of his siblings was a bit too much for Benjamin right now - a dull ache throbbed in his head and he didn't feel very well in the tummy. The short little kit sat quite apart from the rest, some distance from the house, pawing nervously at a small patch of clover in front of him. Sea-green eyes glanced back at the group and he ducked his head, curling his feathery wings around himself in a defensive protective manner, hoping not to be noticed.
He made a soft sniffling noise at Aurum's comment that their mother was elsewhere, and pinned his ears back against the sides of his head. All he really wanted right now was a reassuring cuddle, and some quiet.

At the invitation of a ride from her sister, Nina quickly ditched her father and scampered back over to Morgan to jump on her back.
"He made a statue!" Nina proclaimed at the question.
Will scuffed the dirt a little with his paw, embarrassed at all the attention. "I was just practicing my alchemy, that's all."
However, Will's ears perked up at their Uncle Alphonse.
Hey now, Al was supposed to be on his side! But at his brother's claim that Ed couldn't beat him even if all his kids helped, a sly grin spread across Edward's face. "That a challenge, Al?"
However, William's attention had turned towards a hunkering, whimpering kit near the house. The eldest of the crew meandered over and sat himself down beside his little brother. "Hey Ben, what are you doing over here all by yourself?"

Edwin gasped as he flapped his wings to backpedal, pointing a paw dramatically at Morgan. "Nooo, I don't want to join the train! It's too soon and besides Khez might push me off!" Heck, it could be anyone really that pushed and fell, but Edwin just felt the need to name someone. And Khez just happened to be the first sibling to mind for whatever reason. Giving a silly laugh, the boy waved his paw at his dark sister. "Just kidding sissyyyy!" And with that Edwin's own attention turned on a dime upon hearing another voice. It was an older voice, and the challenge being spoken made the kit grin and pounce over to the one named Alphonse.
"Heyyy, is that a fact or just silly talk? Eh?" They could take him on! The whole gang could pounce on him at once and bang! They'd win! Feeling jittery all over again, Edwin darted in a circle while shouting for his siblings to join in the 'battle'. Though it was his blonde baby brother that made him slow to a stop curiously. "Now now Benny. What's wrong? Mommy will be here soon..."
