Science is getting more and more developed, and more guides and stories of zombies keep popping up everywhere.
Some canadian scientists even said that A zombie outbreak is possible within the near future of science.
-
So what if there was a zombie outbreak? What would you do? Start with this scenario, if you don't know how to begin.
If your television is on, the channel is interruped with news. A pathogen/experiment gone awry has released a virus turning people into essentially, zombies. They have cannibalistic intentions, and try to spread the virus as best they can, whether it be through bites, or any mouth or open wound contact.
The surgeon general has advised to lock down and defend, although some small ferries, water taxies, buses, and helicopters will be taking people out of the city. If you start to feel lightheaded, nauseous, or in worst cases- experiencing mutative like syptoms- please DO NOT board a form of public transportation.
Estimated time until total lockdown, Four hours.
If you didn't experience such- Almost every public Radio, Speaker or form of communication is blocked by a replay of this message. Helicopters convey this message, while picking people up in few, select parts of the city.
Remember, this is really specifically America, but Those not in the US please match your experience accordingly. I will.
So, tell us what you would do in a good old fashioned Zombie romp!
Remember:
-Be realistic. If you've had no experience with weapons other than a butter knife.. do not turn yourself into RAMBO. - Remember your surroundings. Just because your in a zombie fest, doesn't mean your real life surroundings don't change at will. - Again, with realism. Sure- you can skip eating until you reach safety, but you'll be substantially slower. - Don't play the hero. Unless you are Mother Theresa, I doubt you're really going to Drag along your 94 year old, sickling grandmother.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ANYWHO, WITH THAT SAID...
You have four hours. Spend your time wisely.

Well, in a zombie outbreak, it's essential to form a group that can take down the hordes. I have little to no experience with guns, but I am handy with a blunt weapon, like a sledgehammer.
Also, I care too much about my possessions and my family to not play the hero. I'd have to take them to safety before myself; I do not follow the code that is "every man for himself."
...Did I mention my usefulness with a sledgehammer?
And are we talking shambling zombies, or sprinting Left 4 Dead zombies?

And are we talking shambling zombies, or sprinting Left 4 Dead zombies? I'd say probably both, but with a higher concentration of the shambling zombies.
Like, in Left 4 Dead there are a few of the crazy, superpowered infected. Around 4-8 per level/day, correct? Think of the crazy infected- as those who can sprint.

I feel kind of bad, my plan is way longer than this. xD

It seems to me like Kaye would rather go out fighting rather than flee forever.
Proficient or not, you'd do better with a shotgun or even a pistol, though, than a sledgehammer.
If they're going to be that close, accuracy with a gun won't be a problem... so, HEADSHOT.
~
As for me.
We have guns. Lots of guns. I'm thinking, an automatic shotgun per family member, even though my sister can't use them and has never tried.
We'd take out the ammo restraints, making them illegal. Pfft. If we had to go somewhere, I'd say, probably a rural area where not a lot of people are.
My ranch house, for example. Which also happens to be where the guns, and a bunch of dumb pit -bulls, are.
We'd get in the truck and drive over there, running down anything that moves on the way. We'd need food and stuff, but that could wait until AFTER the panic that everybody makes.
I'd put a hula-dancing dolphin on my dashboard, too.

Basics Dad: 60/ Muscular and slightly beefy from working on boats in the arctic. I swear to god he has a layer of brown fat/hide protecting him from clawing and thrashing. And he has a badass austrian moustache.
Mom: 49/ Fat. Sorry mom- but we all know it's true. If the worst case scenario played out then you'd be toast. But she's pretty strong, she used to be an aerobics instructor. So I think we'll be good. Good, Irish woman. Capable of using a gun from growing up hunting.
Brother: 19. Chiseled. Strong. Austrian. Perfect. But we'd need to shave his curly locks.
Emily: 14. Short, for diving through hoards. Flexible, thanks to ballet, modern dance and.. turbojam workouts. Occasionally. I'm only lazy when left unprovoked, but when I have a reason I can be unfathomably energetic.
The team is assembled.
1. Turn off the lights, in all of the rooms, except for the bathroom and kitchen. If God Forbid, I can't get out of my house in the next hour I need to draw as little attention as possible. My house is an open plan, near-beachfront house in the middle of a small wooded area.
Bad Idea. But considering the closest place, climate wise- the zombies would attack is Seattle. So I have a good 10-17 hours before the first signs of a raid would show.
Now, comes the preparation. I would get my father to board up the windows in the car- and because it is merely a honda civic, I would put all of our bicycles in the trunk.
With that said, I need supplies. With our family's other honda civic, and older model- I would be driven with my brother down to the hardware store..
A block or two from my house. I can be pretty sure people would flock to it almost immediatly, so I and my brother would be equipped with crowbars.
I do know how to use a shotgun, pistol, and assault rifle. Along with knifeplay, fencing and a few karate moves. My brother spars for a hobby, with his stingray skin handled katana.
My Dad and I hunt rabbits, for fun. First, we would hit the hunting supply section, then ammunition. After that, we would hit up the camping section, and take enough sleeping bags, medical kits, and "just add water" foods.
Add a half dozen case of water bottles, and we're done here. I would travel upstairs to the mechanic's office, and take as many containers of gasoline and oil as possible.
-
After that, we would drive back up to the house, and prepare. We secured the weapons and gear in the backseat, for easy access- Including a jack and several spare tires.
-
Now comes for living supplies. My brother and I would have to be prepared to go on our own. It might be tough leaving our parents, but that probably wouldn't be neccasary if we kept going as fast as we are already.
We would gather all the food from the pantry. With this said- I mean the good sort of items.
Soups, canned fruits and vegetables, and Peanut butter. All are good for you, full of nutrients and easy to transport. My family also hoards beef jerky, luckily enough- so that would go in too.
We would bring whatever is left of the dog food for murphy, she can just eat our food. -
Most importantly, I would get my mom to start making thermos after thermos of strong coffee. As funny as that sounds, it will be needed for overnight driving. And, my mother would have to make it, because in all honesty- She is too overweight to be of any assistance with packing, or preparing..
And I never learned how to make coffee.
After that I would pack a backpack full of all the medications and vitamin pills in the cupboard. If we ever ran out of food, we could just survive on the pills themselves. Painkillers, would be a must as well.
A Half hour has passed, so now it's time to get myself ready. I would take all my hair elastics and put them on my wrist, along with a watch. I can't have my hair loose in a zombie raid, too easy to grab onto.
- With that said I would shave the heads of my dad, dog, and brother. They have a lot of hair.
As for clothing, I am too, prepared.
- The most comfortable pair of Boyshort panties I have. Don't laugh- I can't be worried about lacy thongs or frilly bikini shorts in the midst of an attack.
- A front close bra. Easy, fast, portable. - Any wifebeater tank top around. - Flannel shirt or cotton hoodie. - My faux leather Jacket, with elastic Sleeves. It is stretchy, holds close to the body, and the vinyl is weatherproof, pretty much. - Sneakers.
- My apple bottom jeans. I know what you're thinking. But- Jean is a durable fabric, and they have metal apples on the a** that could be melted off for welding and the like later. And I swear to god they are the most comfortable pants in the world. They stretch, and twist.
So laugh at me if you will, but I'll be laughing my a** off while the scene kids waddle around in their skin tight pink skinnies. -
My family, would pretty much wear the same. Also, I would put on my birthing cross necklace and prayer bracelet.
Just in casies.
-
Toiletries. There would be no need for soap, because our water is for DRINKING. I would merely round up in a backpack:
Windex, peroxide, deodarant, hand sanitizer, wet ones, mouthwash, and sunblock.
And Most importantly of all supplies: Tampons, and Maxi Pads.
Sorry Kaye, and Fatal. Ladies, you know what I'm talking about here. You don't know how long we're gonna be out there. And they work impeccably well for nosebleeds, which my brother is prone. Not to mention, every case of toilet paper from downstairs.
This is not a luxury- it will be needed.
With everything packed and in the car, I would do a final check to see if anything is forgotten. We'd have about 20 minutes until the hour was up..
So with that time I would assist in boarding up the doors and windows to the house, for if we ever came back. I'd wish my Xbox a sorrow goodbye, and sneak a few chocolates and small stuffed animals into my pockets, and retrieve one of the final items..
A sketchbook and some of my dad's old books from the 1800s. They would keep me busy in the quiet parts of the trip. And, they're still worth alot, after the raid. Not to mention we'd need to stay quiet, too- just in case in the next 10-17 hours some sprinters came early. Books and sketches are quiet, and don't make any unneccasary light.
That is why we will only be bringing my dads cellphone: The oldest, most durable, dullest light casting phone.
So.. with that, we pack up, and ship out- Heading for.. Where? Whistler Mountain.
Even if there is traffic, we have plenty of time. Weapons to fight off what little zombies there could be. If it gets too intense we have the bikes, or could get ourselves stored at the many garages, storage buildings or firehouses in the area. And most people would be locking down their open plan, glassy Vancouver houses, anyway.
Idiots.
It's a mere three hours away- and due to the freezing temperatures zombies cannot thrive in such a climate.
I'd thank the heavens once we first get cold, since we would now be in the very worst place a zombie could attack. See- tropical, lush, or warm moist places would allow the zombie virus to thrive, and multiply.
In intense dry heats, and Intense cold, like the mountain, the virus simply, dies. This is why- after battling traffic and various small attacks by the chance few sprinters who managed to arrive early..
We would be safe. We would drive up the mountain, check into either an underground parking garage, store room, or dark, thick cabin, and unpack- settle down, turn off the lights..
And get out our sleeping bags. Wait- for the chance few zombies to arrive, and be gunned down by the others on the mountain, or the rescue helicopter to start taking us somewhere safer than here. And by the sounds of it, I'd probably still be with my family, and my doggie.
AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

(Wow Bread, reading your plan makes me feel worse than I already did thinking about Zombie attacks, cause now I know I would never survive... Oh well, might as well take a crack at it ^^)
Location: Southern Florida Climate: Humid/Sub-Tropical Status: Surrounded by Heavily effected Cities (Such as Miami), because of the large Population.
Four Hours Left Untill Complete Lockdown~
The Announcement has just been made, and after a few panicky minutes (Perhaps around fifteen) With my mother and sister discussing what to do to save ourselves, we begin.
The People- I know for a fact that my mother (39-Heavyset) can weild a Shotgun better than anyone else I know (The result of an almost-robbery two years ago).
I myself (15-Heavyset) have been trained to used a Pistol, a Shotgun, or any knife/sword/dagger/large pointy stick that makes itself availiable. This is because I am a total nerd for Medieval Warfair and am in a club for it.
My sister (11-Heavyset) Would be lucky if she could figure out how to use a butter knife the right way, so we'll have to protect her as best we can.
My Grandfather ,(God Bless his soul, 86), My poor grandfather is Deaf, wheelchair bound, and unable to use the entire left side of his body. Namely, screwed. I'll tell you what we do with him later.
Weapons- At my house we have a grand total of Two Machetti's (Old and rusty), One Flail (Don't ask), A pistol (Not actually sure what kind), a Double barrel Shot Gun, Three Shrpened Fighting Daggers, One Sword (Arms length, one handed, double fuller), and of course my pride and joy Sycle which I use to lovingly do battle with every third saturday of the month.
We have about 72 rounds for the Shotgun, and perhaps 100 for the pistol. I don't think we know where to get more, seeing as how Dad was the Gun lover and bought all the stuff, I just learned how to use it.
Three and a Half Hours Remaining~
Preperation-
First things first, our only Vihicle is a 2007 Dodge Minivan, so that's all we'll have untill we can get to the lot where we store our RV. for now my mother would go with the car to the nearest Gas Station (I'm sure that it would be swamped by now, so that's why she'd go early) With the Seven Gas Canisters we have and get them filled, along with the cars tank. We have a siphon that I know how to use and I'll transfer any gas in that tank to our RV when I get the chance.
Meanwhile, My sister and myself (Mainly me) will be busy locking down the household. We'll put up our hurricane shutters (They're amazingly tough) for the off chance that we get to come back to our home or at any point are forced to do so. The second that's done I'll be zipping over to our computer to print up directions (Because my mother is a useless navigator) to our owned Campground. It's in a very wooded place in Florida, not Two hours away, that isn't surrounded by any major city or large facility. Therefore, it's the best place for us.
Mom will have Filled up the gas cans by now and is off at the grocery store grabbing all the Canned and boxed non-perishable products that she can, hoping it'll be enough for all of us. While I was on the web and Mom is shopping my sister will have called my Aunt Sharon (Who lives five minutes away) and told her that I said to pack up all her camping supplies (They have a ton) in their Truck and head on over to meet with us, you see, I called earlier and informed them of our families plan to go 'camping' instead of toughing it out in the city.
My Aunt Sharon (40-lightweight) my Uncle Jim (40-Firefighter) and my two cousins JJ (16-Strong) and Brandon (15-Strong) will be coming with us, bringing their own supplies to match our own, and we'll share the camp lot. They have Three shotguns (That I know of) and a machetti and believe Uncle Jim has that axe thing firefighters use to chop down doors in a fire.
The terms 'Aunt' and 'Uncle' only apply in the fact that they are very, very, close friends of my family.
Three Hours Remaining~
We have one more hour of prep time before we have to be on the road, that hour includes us picking up the RV, so we have to hurry. Mom rrived home and we boxed all the canned goods, halfway through my Uncle arrives with the boys, aunt Sharon, and their cat. They have their truck packed to the brim with all their supplies, and a bit of room if we need to squeeze anything in. They've gone to the supply store and gotton all types of batteries for flashlights and such, plus their own seven Gas canisters filled, and Sharon went to the store and stocked up like my mother.
The boys help us finish up packing. They're both dressed in durrable fabric T-shirts, heavy jeans, and have sweaters in the car. My aunt and uncle have the same. As do I and my mom and sister. We've all packed extra clothes, all the blankets we have, and out cell phones are charged. I've got my emergency Radio (You learn to get these things when every summer you're in danger of blowing away) and we've got all of my dogs leashes and canned food, the birds seed, and a plethura of instant cofee and durable camping plates and bowls.
The last things we grab are my father and grandmothers ashes, our family photo album, and the old collection of casset tapes. We can listen to those in the RV.
Two Hours and Thirty Minutes~
Everyone loads up into the cars, my mother, myself, sister, Sparky(Dog) the bird and Grandfather in ours. Everyone else in the other. We've taken out the back seat to store everything, leaving one empty seat between myself and my sister in the new back seat. We leave our home, secure as it is, and drive to the lot where we store our RV. Mom goes to check it out of holding while I pull it up (Who cares if I only have a learners permit, there's ZOMBIES) behind the two cars and we begin loading it up with our things. It can hold more on a lower gas rate than our cars, even though we'll be taking those as well.
Done equally spreading supplies I take the wheel of the minivan with Brandon in the pasenger seat, shotgun in hand. Uncle Jim is driving the Truck, Sharon in the passenger seat with Shotgun. My mother is in the RV with my grand father and sister in the back, and JJ in the passenger seat, the third Shotgun of our repritar in his hands. Our Carivan then follows me (Seeing as how I'm the best navigator) onto the road.
Two Hours Pass~
This is the quiet part of the trip, everyone concentrating on driving and ignoring the emergency radios in each car repeating the message to lock up and defend.
At the Camp Ground-
We arrive, finally, and imediatly turn off all vehicles even though it's getting dark. I start the fire while everyone begins shuffling sleeping bags and what not together for the night. The Shotguns are still held by the people who had then before, only now mom has taken JJ's and he instead has a pistol. I have a pistol and my Scycle, My sister has our 1st machetti and Mr.Jim the second.
We've parked the RV, Minivan, and truck around the Camp fire in a wide triangle so it's the best defensive position, Emergecy Radio running on Solar Power is counting down the last minutes untill lockdown.
Hopefully, if we're lucky, we'll get passed over by the virus and none of us gets sick. If we do we've all agreed that the best thing is to leave all weapons that person has and to go off into the trees as far away as possible. If we're lucky, that person really only had the flu and will return with their hands in the air, shouting so as not to alarm everyone else, that they're 'clean'. If not, well, we might eventually have to shoot them.
~Ground Zero
And that's all I got.

Nice.
But I don't suggest you go to the woods. That was directly from where I was escaping, if you recall. Zombies can hide from all areas, if it's heavily wooded, and its away from anyone else, so I doubt rescue choppers would come there.
And, is it at the top of a hill or mountain? If it's not, you don't stand a chance, for the zombies now have the higher ground, and can just launch themselves on your aluminum and glass RV.
Plus, how're you gonna fit all of that stuff, and all of those people into one minivan, before you get to the RV?
I'd say keep the campfire to a minimum. Zombies are attracted to any light or flame, therefore a fire in the distance will leave you sitting ducks. Flashlights, only.
With that said, your plan is pretty good. ;D LOL.
Anyways- I was inspired to make my own list of team members.

Kaye - Yours Truly and saving hot pizza girls You can't save semi-hot hipsters from Vancouver? I realized the flaw in my plan. Dx Once I get to the mountain I might run out of supplies, before we can be airlifted out. And from what I've read in The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks- We'd turn to cannibalism, or hunting the wild bears/animals at whistler. The former seems more plausible- TBH.
