Gabriel planted the blunt edge of his spear in the ground. He had a match scheduled in a few minutes, and figured he'd come in a little bit early to get ready. This was his first time in this all-new coliseum. Even though it felt somewhat familiar, thanks to the many days he had spent at Leviathan Stadium a while ago, he still couldn't help but be nervous.
Everyone here is so strong, he though. Guess there's no better way to see where I stand.
With a shrug, the pale man straightened his clothes; a pale blue long-sleeved shirt with pants of a darker color, tightened the wrappings around his wrists and legs, and proceeded to do a few jumping jacks.
Hey, even ice elementals need to warm up, fancy that.

((Hope you don't mind a bit of Arena based effects))
At the appointed time a series of great claps filled the arena as the great floodlights, needed or not, began to flicker on and the roar of the crowd was allowed to spill out onto the arena floor. Up in the control booth the Sensei of the fighter yet to arrive was controlling the cameras and other various effects. A recently instated policy (because I said so >.> Not totally official yet) noted that all fights were to be recorded if they took place within the main arenas. This one was especially desired to be recorded because of the owner's interest in the fight at hand.
Several blue disks began to float around the arena, each of which had a camera affixed to it with a beast of some sort manning it. Up in the control booth another set of beasts were directing which camera to be active when and controlling sound levels. Another beast approached Gabriel with a pin-on mic and held it out to him so as to capture any speech more accurately. It could be denied, but it was prefered that fighters accepted it. When Rasarai came he'd be offered one just the same. The microphones were immunized from magic and assault, but also would lock onto the being's aura not only for power, which was negligable, but to keep with them should pieces of one's self be lost or one's form change.
A Last beast stood at the center of the appointed field as what was, apparently, some sort of referee. It was mostly to give the rules which should already be known by the two combatants with an addition that no arena equipment or personnel were to be harmed. The audience, however...

((LOL lets get this game started! YAY JUDGEMENT DAY! mrgreen and I dont' mind a bit of an audience! LOL just hope I don't embarrass myself hahaha ))
The Nova knight strode confidently down the dimly lit cement halls leading to the arena, his small smile seemed transfixed on a thought in his head as he walked into the blazing light of the arena. The knight gasped in awe at the spectacle before him, an arena so bright with lights and wide enough for a decent football match. The knight recomposed himself and smiled slightly as he entered the brightly lit arena.
As he walked down the path leading to the arena the knight blazed with the majesty of a Lord. His armor shone a bright red under the lights as one of the beasts approached him. As he lifted his right hand to recieve the microphones his cape billowed in the slight breeze blowing throughout the arena, attaching them according to the specifications given by the beast the knight smiled and began to walk towards his opponent warming up at the center of the arena.
As Lord Rasarai walked he smiled happily at the fact his opponent chose to stretch right before the match instead of inside the dressing room provided before. As he reached a safe distance fo 20 feet from his opponent the Knight waved his right hand saying, "Let us begin the game shall we? Remember we must hold back our powers. This is a battle of sheer technique and prowess. I shall not use my blazing chi and the full extent of my powers and you shall hold back too. Lets just say...this is a battle between the true essences of our being. Back to basics." Smiling thoughtfully at his little speech Rasarai began to slowly assume his defense.
Under the bright lights Rasarai's seemed to glow as he lifted his left arm in front of him in a upside down hook position while his right fist rested just above his right ribline. His left foot was positioned slightly forward as his right foot lingered at the same position as his right fist, his cape slowly moving due to the slight breeze. Lord Rasarai's red eyes blazed slightly as he said, "Let us begin the game. You by right are allowed the first attack since you arrived here first. Let us follow the rules of chivalry while we battle for that is how men fight, animals fight dirty." As he stood there in his form his eyes slowly took in the image of his opponent and his mind sensed the powers he possessed. Smiling to himself the Knight murmured, "This shall be a good match."

Gabriel mumbled under his breath. If it was possible for him to blush, he would've flushed bright red. The poor man hated crowds, and now he was the center of attention for one. This only added to the elemental's nervousness. Under the eye of half a dozen cameras, Gabriel blinked as he was offered the microphone, and had a bit of a hard time fixing it to his shirt. A few people in the crowd chuckled, but most of them found him cute, and held back their laughters in respect.
Or pity for the carnage to come?
"Oiiii ..."
Rasarai spoke. A bunch of big words. Fancy shmancy pre-fight chatter. That, Gabriel was familiar with. In fact, it even brought a lazy smile to his lips His pale hand clenched upon the pole of his weapon, and he took a slow step forward, as if walking through water.
"Thank you for the offer." He answered cheerfully." Since you insist, I'll attack first. Just try to, y'know, not forget that humans are beasts in the end ..."
Another step. Hey, why hurry? Gabriel was assured the first move. Better take all his time to find the best way to pierce through that armor.

((Alright since our timezones are whacked when you post and that is your last post for the night can you mention it in your post like I am doing now in OOC? That way I wont' have to wait xd ))
The Nova knight smiled pleasantly as the crowds roared loudly amongst the stands. Feeling the breeze blow through his spiky red hair the knight stood deadly still as his red eyes watched his opponent looking at him intently. As he watched his opponents eyes as he moved around the arena slowly. As he moved the crowd began to quieten down as if they felt that the battle was about to begin and their silence heralded the begining of the match.
Lord Rasarai after a moment closed his eyes and let his senses take over. I think this man is trying to find a weakness in defenses...I had hoped he would have done it without attracting so much attention, look at him...its so obvious thought Rasarai glumly as he assumed the same stance. In his training he had learnt that patience was a thing that all great warriors must master, assuming the flame and the void in his mind the knight soon felt peace wash over him.
Pushing all unnecessary thoughts into the flame, unnecessary emotions the knight can become the ultimate fighting machine with this mind trick. Not letting personal fancies overcome his battle lust the knight lets his mind drift in this form as his body automatically assimiliates into instinctal reflexes. Feeling adrenalin and testosterone pump strength into his muscles the knight simply stood there waiting for movement from his opponent. Waiting upon the field of stone as many onlookers watched in awe for the battle to unfold.

Rasarai closed his eyes. That was the opening Gabriel wanted. It wasn't much, and his opponent's eyes would probably be re-opened by the time the elemental's attack hit, but it was still enough. All he wanted was to throw him off for a second.
As soon as the armored man's eyelids were shut, Gabriel jumped forward. The change from his slow, lazy pace to a sudden lunge was abrupt, almost violentHis left arm traced a wide arc, using the full lenght of his spear and brough the flat of the weapon's blade down toward Rasarai's neck. No lethal blow were allowed, but by aiming for the neck, he could still cause a fair amount of pain and even stun his opponent.

Whilst assuming the flame and the void the knight felt the air move around him as his opponent changed his form. The knights eyes snapped open as the light of the arena flooded his vision, but that did not matter to him as his mind already knew where the opponent was going attack from. From all the military battles he had been in the first rule of thumb is to find a weakness in the defenses of your opponent, and he knew that his head and neck were the weakest parts of his being. Factoring in the fact his opponent might aim for these parts the knight prepared a cunning strategy.
As the blade sailed towards his neck his right arm that was resting on his ribline whipped up and blocked the blade with his forearm, a loud metallic bang was heard throughout the stage as both attack and defense met. As his right arm moved his left assumed its position above the ribline, when the block was completed Rasarai's eyes blazed with concentration as he took a step forward while his left arm screamed towards his opponents face. Factoring the fact that he had closed the gap to but a few feet and the level of speed unleashed due to instinctal reflex of his body dodging or blocking such an attack would be quite hard. As the left fist sailed towards his opponents face the knight brought his right arm down and assumed a boxers stance to deflect off any counter attacks.

Of course. It would've been too easy As Rasarai's right arm came up, Gabriel's own arm went to grap the pole of his spear too. With both hands, the young man pushed the spear hard against his opponent's armored arm and jumped to his left.
When Rasarai's arm pierced the air, the elemental was already at his side. Gabriel lost no time in launching another attack. Again, the spear's head went whistling through the air, following the same arc it had just a moment earlier. This time though, the flat of the weapon's blade would fly toward the back of Rasarai's head, at the nape of his neck.
And Gabriel was smiling, of course.

"Interesting..." murmured Rasarai as his fist sailed into nothing as his opponent jumped to his left. Feeling the spear push against his right arm the knights eyes hardened slightly as a twinge of pain danced upon his right arm as the force of the spear pushed upon it. Realizing his opponent had moved swiftly behind him to strike him from behind the Knight realized that it was time to stop mucking around and get serious.
As the crowd within the stands roared with delight at the battle unfolding in the arena Rasarai had the gut instinct that the back of his neck was the next target. Seeing that Gabriel was spinning from the left Rasarai spun to his right and dodged the blade as it sailed just centimeters from his back. Utilizing more power and speed the knight spun quickly and unleashed a vicious roundhouse kick that would strike at the head of his opponent. Should he dodge the knight would continue spinning to unleash a back handed punch followed by a killer left hook that would aim for the torso of his opponent.
Should Gabriel block the knight would simply spin the other way and go for an powerful uppercut followed by a 3 punch rush at various areas of the opponents body. Bear in mind that each of these shots are powered by the super strength and speed of Lord Rasarai and each shot would be equivalent to someone being smited by a sledgehammer. The Knight smiled as his attack sailed towards his opponents head.

That kept in mind, Gabriel didn't want to be anywhere near any of those hits. His body being frozen solid, a hit from a sledgehammer would leave more than a bruise and a broken bone. It'd shatter a part of him to pieces, and without magic to repair the holes, this fight could end up real short.
The range of his spear was a great advantage against Rasarai's bare-hand fighting. Gabriel had no trouble stepping back behind the roundhouse, another step away from the back-hand, the hook too. When the uppercut came, though, it was a whole other story. Such a punch was quite devastating, but it left you very open. Way more open than what Gabriel needed. While Rasarai's fist was up in the air, the ice elemental flipped the blunt end up his spear up and thrust it with all his might toward the knight's throat, pushing the spear forward with all his weight, hoping for a maximum of damage and with some luck, even throw his opponent off his feet.

The knight was impressed with how the battle was going, watching calmly as his opponent dodged nimbly all of his attacks. Such speed was definately from someone who was that of a seasoned warrior. As his uppercut roared towards his opponents head he noticed he had missed, and this was very bad. Completely left open the knight saw the opponents staff blur towards him with rapid speed. Since he was utilizing a Karate stance the knight knew that there was only one way to stop this.
As his right fist started to fall and the staff blur towards his neck area the knight jumped backwards and let the staff smite him on his armors collarpiece on the right. Feeling the force of the attack bruise the skin and muscle under the armor Rasarai grunted as he unleashed his counter. Using the momentum from the fact his opponent would be overstepping due to his dodge and the momentum of the opponents attack the knight did a mid-air spin kick with his right foot, the maneuver was moving at such a speed that his attack would surely hit since his dodge would have caused overbalance. But he could be wrong. The attack would be moving at a very quick pace due to the transference of force from the opponents attack followed by his own power. The attack was aimed at the opponents torso so should it hit the attack should have the same power as a heavy sledgehammer and should catapult him far from this position.
((I was going to say something but who cares. Let the game continue.))

Gabriel didn't even have the time to curse. He fell straight on Rasarai's foot, and time stopped on the moment for him. He could feel every single crevices spread fro the impact point onto his chest, slightering along his clothes and flesh and covering his whole torso, and even spread to his back. He could feel the snap of pain, as if an arrow had pierced clean through his body and left within him some foul poison
Of course, this all happened in an instant. Time never really did stop. When the world resumeds spinning though, it was all billowing upside down as Gabriel was sent flying in the air, leaving shards of his frozen body in his trail, and crashed onto his back ******** ... ow ..."

The knight was glad that he had managed to land a hit. This warrior was holding the advantage throughout the battle and finally he managed to hit back. As Gabriel flew across the battlefield Rasarai knew he had to act fast. Watching the flying body with his fiery red eyes the knight swiftly ran across the stone ground towards his opponent.
Keeping his eyes on him the red haired knight he would do one of his trademark moves. Twisting his body to the left the knight jumped up causing his body to twist like a small tornado. Aiming both feet at the opponent the Knight brow furrowed with concentration as his body spun like a top towards the opponent. With 2 feet outstretched before him the attack would be equivalent to small car going 60km/h hitting a man.
The knight was not done yet, he knew that this attack would leave him open. Whilst he was spinning he lifted his arms in front of him in a boxer stance while spinning. Judging by the speed of spin any attack would harmlessy spin off his armor. Should he miss he will simply land and assume a defensive boxer stance. The Knight was enjoying himself immensely, this was one of those rare times where he didn't have to use his powers to fight. He felt nostalgia creep into his mind as he spun towards his enemy, smiling all the way.

Bam. Before Gabriel could even recover from the first hit, another came right by. Rasarai nearly skewered right through the elemental with his spinning kick. Nearly, simply because the impact was so great that there wasn't really enough left of the poor man to call it "going through". Like an ice statue ran into by a speeding care, Gabriel shattered, torso, base of heads and shoulders, even all the way to his knees.
The many pieces of him fell softly upon the ground, shining like prisms under the sun.
(( XD Well that sucked ... but you won. =P ))

((Oh what!! I won already?. Well thanks for the match, maybe next time we can arrange to use minimal elemental powers or something. Good match! mrgreen ))
Rasarai felt his attack shred his opponent into pieces, as he landed onto the stone ground he looked back at the broken pieces of his opponent. Sighing softly the Knight bent over and gathered up all the pieces into one spot and knelt there for a second. Giving his opponent a second of silence and prayer the Knight honored the memory of his opponent as he stood up once more. Looking around in the stands the crowds were roaring with both approval and excitement to know that Rasarai had won the match. Giving the crowd a friendly wave the knight turned back towards his broken opponent saying, "I'm sorry..." Turning softly the Knight made his way towards the exit of the Arena, feeling the weight of guilt burden his shoulders as he left.
