From what I've learned playing heroes; I have a few pieces of advice.
1) Always include some ratio of Ocean, Woodsman, and a Stratos.
2) Beyond this, ignore the fact that Elemental Heroes are anything but Warrior-type monsters with REALLY good support. Figure out which cards are gimmicky and which cards will actually help you.
3) Choose five fusions, with similar material monsters, and stick with them. Only include heroes and substitutes that would grant passage to those fusions so that they can hit the field.
Example: my old e-hero deck that I stopped using a few months back:
(note: This will not be a legal deck starting September 1st; so there is no use mimicking it. Besides; it really wasn't top-tier anyway...)
Quote:
Basis is recycling Wildheart and Sparkman for their fusions.

Anata wa watashi ga zutto mae ni "sayounara" to yutta hito wo omoidasaseru.
With that; unless I was hated by god at that specific day, I had a large field presence of fusions within the first turn.
Finally) Don't take it too seriously if you lose to the big-name decks of the day. E-heroes are supposed to be fun...well, this entire game is supposed to be fun but I hope you get my point in saying that...
You remind me of someone I said goodbye to a long time ago.
