That's a spoiler? xd
Well. It's from the Okinawan word "Tiida," leading me to believe that it may be pronounced the same, as "TEE-duh." Of course, having been changed, the obvious alternative would be "TEE-dus." That's helped by the fact that Wakka pronounces it as such in Kingdom Hearts, but it is a dub, so it's still not definitive...
Regardless... I think anything but "TIE-dus" sounds dumb. So I say that. blaugh

Apparently, they pronounce it TEE-dus all through Dissidia.
But it will forever be TIE-dus in my heart. D;

I like it that we all feel the same way. We know it's Teedus, but say Tiedus anyway because thats how we said it first. Hahaha.

If you find the site, let me know. Since the game was made in Japan, and Tye-dus sounds too American, and I'm just used to pronouncing the names like the Japanese would, or like I think they would, I pronounce it Te (or tea, or T, or tee)-dus.
And in FFIX I prounced Zidane (Zee-dah-nay), though I've heard it prounuced as Zee-dayne or something like that. Plus, I think those sound better and that Tye-dus and Zee-dayne sound kinda...dumb, no offense intended to those who pronounce those names that way.

In the new Dissidea (sorry for the spelling error) when you play story mode it says Tidus' name.
Everyone believed before hand that it was indeed tie-dus, but when the story mode is played it does pronounce it tee-dus.
For all those out there who still pronounce it Tie-dus, I am sorry to inform you you ARE wrong and if you are a true FF fan you would correct yourself.
(I was one of those who said Tie-dus btw)

Well, in Japan they'd pronounce it like Tee-doos, so tee.

Well if we go by Dissidia Zero, his name is pronounced Zi-dahn. (that's a short "i" sound like "zipper" and a short "o" like the word "on")
