My Story
It was a dark and stormy night in the swamp. I was scared out of my mind. I was running for my life. Something was lurking in the shadows everywhere I looked. No one knew where I was considering I choose this place on a whim. I knew that I was going to die and no one would ever know.
I listened to my heartbeat. Thump. Thump. Thump. A fast pace beat. Slowing down to a halt as the poison ran through my veins. Taking over what was rightfully mine, my life. Time was against me. I had to hurry.
I wasn’t ready to die. I was so young and I hadn’t really seen much of my life but there I was. I just needed to get a little further. ‘Just a little bit further’ is what I kept telling myself as I ran for my life. ‘Maybe there is still time to stop it,’ I thought to myself.
Then I blinked and I was in a desert. I really don’t know how---it was strange. I started yelling at nothing. “I want to go home!” It really wasn’t any help.
I felt something in my pocket and it was Scott Brown’s Lakewood High School ID card. Then I asked myself how it got there. I couldn’t figure it out.
When I looked up I saw a fat kid chasing an ice cream truck. Yes an ice cream truck in the desert. As I tried to get up a giant squirrel knocked me back down. I tried to get up again but the squirrel hit me with a huge bouncy ball and latched on to me. I didn’t know what to do but to try to get away from this squirrel.
The chase went on for hours until finally I fell through the ground into some underground port a potty. Oh it smelled so nice. There was a giant cinnamon roll in there. So it made me want to go to the desert again.
Finally my delusion was over. The poison was in effect. My breathing stopped and my heart followed soon after. Death isn’t pleasant but it happens to everyone. Well, at least almost everyone. Thirty-three minutes after my supposed death…I took a breath to find that eternal life on earth had begun.
