Appearance: Olive skin, brown eyes, black hair kept buzzed. Prominent nose and cheekbones in a heart-shaped face. She stands right around 5'7. Her figure is muscular but not bulky and she keeps her chest bound. [I'm thinking like a sturdier version of Natalie Portman in V For Vendetta] Danna dresses plainly in light breeches and tunics when not wearing her flight gear.
Personality: Straightforward and blunt, Danna isn't afraid to speak her mind. She does, however, take her duties as a dragonrider very seriously, and is highly devoted to her Weyrleader. [She would not be sympathetic to the ILA, particularly its methods.] Danna is not a loner, nor does she actively seek out the company of others (besides her dragon). She conducts her romantic affairs quietly but has yet to make any permanent attachments. Once she came to terms with her sexuality in her teens she became much more comfortable in her own skin (although goldriders make her nervous).
History: Ladanna comes from a family of cotholders looking to Ista hold. As the youngest of half-a-dozen children, her parents were all too happy to see her Searched at the age of 13. Danna Impressed blue Selth at her second Hatching, which surprised no one but herself.
By her late teens she had proven herself as a valuable wingrider. As the prospect of Threadfall nears Danna has become fascinated with the particulars of flight patterns and the complicated jumps required of smaller fighting dragons.
Danna rarely visits her family. Although they had been pleased to send a child to the Weyr, they had hardly imagined a blue dragon for their daughter which makes such visits awkward at best.
Other talents: Danna has a photographic memory and actually enjoys doing point recognition drills. She has a fondness for young female blueriders who may or may not have realized the implications of their new bond.
