Hey guys! Well, you might be a bit worried when you read the title but fear not! It is exactly what you think it is (wait... i think that means your fears came true???). I am sadly leaving the guild. But not for any bad reasons, i love you all! I am not leaving for the structure, or they way things are being run, everything here is perfect! So you might be asking yourself "Ok... why the F@!# ARE YOU LEAVING!?" And I will be more than happy to answer that. To put it simply; school. And I am not only leaving the guild, i am leaving Gaia overall. You see, I was recently accepted into a very prestigious boarding school, called the Webb Schools of California, and with the work load and inevitable social activities, I really don't have the time to be on Gaia anymore. On top of that, I really have to be more diligent in my music studies, and there, I can really do that. So, in the sense that I need to work on my future, work, and friends that I'm going to be exposed to 24/7, I need to stop something that takes up a lot of my time, and compared to the other things is not very geared toward my education. And sadly Gaia happens to be just that. I've spent the past 2 summers here on Gaia, when I could be studying or practicing my Bassoon, but I chose not to, and now, instead of letting it get worse and worse, I've decided to put a stop to it, and focus on something that will help me in the long run. If you guys might be wondering if this is the work of my parents, It's not, all me. My parents don't care if I'm on here or not, just so long as I get straight A's (which I do btw), but It gets more and more concerning to me as the more and more important the high school years progress (sophomore, junior, and senior year). I know it sound like a weird and rather odd reason to quit Gaia, but the school I am going to would have no option but to quit Gaia. Being that over 80% of the students that graduate go onto an Ivy League or prestigious Conservatory (note that 100% of students graduate). But to get there, requires A LOT of work, and the time that is spent on Gaia, can be spent doing something to get to that level. BUT! Don't get me wrong I LOVE GAIA! And the guild! Gaia is really fun, and believe me, it rally killed me when I came to the decision that I had to quit. But I just wanted to let you all know that I had a blast with you all! You guys are really one in a million! And I am really going to miss you all!
And please don't think this is the end! Because, I might be back next summer (depending on wether or not I go to Europe with my orchestra for a month, or I get into the Music Academy of the West) But, there is that glimmer of hope! AND! I will be back every month or two (or 5 xD) to update you all on how I'm doing. So, I will be giving all my items away (to a person i will not mention >.>) but it will seem as if my account is permanently gone, but I will be back every few months n' stuff, but not to do serious Gaia stuff; only to say Hi and stuff. So, if you would like to be updated on what I'm doing every few months or so, and or keep in contact, send my a friend request within the next day, because I move into my dorm in two days. SO ACT FAST!
