Despite wanting to speak with F'sey privately, K'lan was not the type to ever approach his weyr, even if she knew him to be in residence. Instead, the weryling waited, biding her time through lessons quietly, uneventfully fulfilling her tasks without error. Both she and Condoroth had not only a skill, but a love for precision and that was quickly becoming apparent in their work and drills.
And yet, her thoughts weighed heavily upon her. The blonde had never been a disrespectful youth. She worked hard and appreciated the work of others, she valued teamwork and honesty.
She had made a mistake.
So here she was, strong hands massaging Condoroth's head as the dragonet's blue eyes whirled, waiting.
Suddenly straightening, the green tilted her head, her matter-of-fact, friendly voice alerting K'lan before greeting an older dragon.
Here they come, Mine. Ialluth, good morning! Mine wishes an audience with yours.
The younger green had no problem with this, as Ialluth was a very nice, smart dragon, whom Condoroth was beginning to admire. Perhaps they could talk as well!
"Weyrlingmaster, might I have a word?" K'lan's low, soft voice was startlingly respectful, though without hesitation.

Oh, look. Mouthy rat number one.
Mine! That is very rude. It was just once. Condoroth's wishes to speak with you.
F'sey rolled his eyes at the voice in his head; Ialluth could feel the exasperation more than actually see it, though her rider's general body language was very easy for her read after twenty some-odd turns with the man. The small green rumbled and rearranged her wings. She'd finished her meal not so long ago and requested her hide be oiled now. Hers would never deny her a thing (though the man would certainly argue being so very whipped).
"Do you need something, K'lan?" he asked. It was a bit awkward; he'd removed his shirt while taking care of his dragon and hadn't put it back on. It was sharding hot, after all.
Ialluth, meanwhile, was more than happy to have a distraction on their way back to their weyr. Hello, little Condoroth! How are you and Yours on this fine day? she bubbled happily, the very picture of friendliness while her rider was nothing if not the dark cloud looming behind.

The blonde didn't look at all affected by F'sey's lack of a shirt, instead nodding firmly, jaw-set. This wasn't the easiest thing for her, seeking him out, however she [unlike many of her friends] had no issues apologizing for her errors, especially when she found herself proven wrong.
I am always well, thank you! I have been working hard and Mine is very kind to me. Mine is troubled though. Yours is uncomfortable I see. Mine is good and is sorry to have angered him. Are you well?
The little green was far more talkative than her rider.
"I made a mistake." K'lan didn't beat around the bush, and she wanted to waste as little of F'sey's time as possible. He already dedicated much of it to the weyrlings, and since this wasn't required time to spend listening to her, she wanted to make the most of it. "I undermined your authority in front of my peers out of a misguided sense of loyalty."
She'd learned that Condoroth came first, Weyr second, and then her friends, and she had not been putting Condoroth first when she'd spoken up that lesson.
"I would like to apologize for my disrespect and for speaking before thinking." It would not happen again, she was sure.

If K'lan was at all affected by F'sey's general lack of shirt, the Weyrlingmaster might actually have to go and find a hole to bury himself on. "Yes, you made a mistake." Certainly took her long enough to realize that, the greenrider thought to himself.
Ialluth's eyes flashed an annoyed orange and the only warning F'sey got was a low rumble before a snout hit him from behind and promptly toppled him to the ground. With her rider still reeling, Ialluth crooned softly to the stubborn man before focusing back on the little green dragon.
I am very well, thank you. Enjoying this fine weather with mine, though you are correct in noticing that he is...being difficult. Hopefully he will be better now. He's usually better after I talk some sense into him, she explained, looking completely pleased with herself.
F'sey grunted softly as he picked himself up, brushing himself off as he cursed his dragon. "Ialluth thinks I should accept the apology," he muttered. The greenrider, on the other hand? He wasn't so quick to let things go.

Condoroth's gaze whirled from a surprised green, quickly back to an amused and curious blue, trilling as she shifted her wings. Her tilted head was more than slightly comical and her tone was a bit raised.
You pushed yours! That is allowed? Mine thanks you for your efforts. Mayhap I should try talk to mine like that, someday! Oh the things a young dragon learned!
To her credit, the blonde didn't laugh, though her mouth twitched slightly and she was just able to school her expression before the man picked himself up to regard her once more. Instead, serious dark eyes met his and she spoke, voice sure, if soft. "It would be a mistake not to."
Forgive her, that was. K'lan was an asset to Ista Weyr, and while not cocky, she knew this. She was smart, dependable, and hard-working. She also had the innate talent necessary. That, paired with the precise Condoroth, she felt the warmth of her dragon in her mind at the thought, made her a strong future wingrider.
"Ialluth is as wise as you are stubborn and I am young, sir." To those that knew her well, there was a slight hint of humor in her tone.

Of course it's allowed, as long as you don't hurt anyone. Mine has a problem listening sometimes, but once I have his attention, he is a very good Mine. Ialluth glanced over at her grumpy rider and crooned affectionately, willing Hers to make good on her words. He was usually a good Mine, but the fiesty redhead got carried away sometimes. That's why he needed her, after all.
F'sey couldn't help the snort. "A mistake not to? My my, don't we think highly of ourselves," the Weyrlingmaster snapped, folding his arms over his chest as he shifted slightly, putting a shoulder between himself and the younger greenrider. Confrontation was something he had never been good at and his change in rank did nothing to smooth his demeanor. "Personally, I do not see how holding a grudge will ill affect me in future turns. It is, after all, only part of my nature."
Of couse, sometimes Mine is just impossible, Ialluth sighed, exasperated.

"Sir, I do not think of what is best for you or I as individuals. I think of the Weyr, specifically my fellow weyrlings and Condoroth's clutchmates, and our future lessons together." True, they could continue to progress through them with animosity and a divided class, or they could all make ammends and become one stronger, whole unit.
Staring at him for a long moment, she realized that she was tired of this; his crossed arms, turning away from her as if she wasn't worth his time. Ialluth working hard and getting nowhere, Condoroth's anxiety.
"As I said before, Weyrlingmaster, you will have no further troubles from me." Reaching out to stroke Condoroth's side, she nodded politely to Ialluth, then him before turning to go.
We're leaving Mine?
Yes, it seems like we're done here, love.
Goodbye, Ialluth! I hope you and Yours have a good day!
