I have looked throught the NFL, ESPN, Sporting News and the official Philadelphia Eagles websites, but not a single peep for this. Did you just make that up or did you really see this? If you did see this, please go and post th actual article.

Anyways, I'm so pissed he screwed the Giants over... Burress does have a few things going for him though. A lot of the testimony against him is contradictive. The only thing they can prove is the gunshot. Nothing else. He may end up getting only probation. But who knows. That DA is hellbent on getting him into jail. That also says that the DA is trying anything they can do to bust him AND has the history to backfire on him. If the Burress camp were smart, they could contaminate the Jury pool like the DA already has by saying the the DA is just out to do this to try and win re-election.

The Eagles are going to contain the Super Bowl xd Only team I heard was interested were the Bucs in th ebegnning, but no team will sign him, hes going to jail, and the comish already said hes going to be suspended 8 games sweatdrop

Supposedly when Burress was "still with the Giants," the DA reportedly turned down a plea deal that would have put him in jail for a full year. Now that he was convicted and indicted, I think we will see about two years at least. Possibly up to four or five. ...A complete waste, because he was still extremely talented. One of the best at his position at the time, unlike Vick or Pacman. He may sign, but I don't think he'll see action this season or next. He is supposed to be sentenced later in September.

If Plaxico Burress is out for 2 years, he has a chance to come back to the league. If he's out for 4-5, his career is over.
He's 32 years old right now. If it's two years, he'll be 34, and that'll be alright. A little old, but... alright for a team desperate for a receiver... If it's 4 years, he'll be 36 and out of the league for a long time... Nobody will sign him then.
Terrible for Burress, but that's what you get when you run around with guns.
Anyway, he does have a chance to play this year because his trial might not happen until next spring. In that case, a team that really needs a WR could sign him assuming Goodell doesn't suspend him for the whole season.

Burress has pleaded guilty and will be in jail for about 20 months.

it will be a GREAT offensive weapon but remember this whole summer has been a battle about who's the badder jailbird... Vick or Burress... and i pretty sure NO team wants BOTH of them to be there... and there is a forum about Vick or Burress
