-Intro:_____________________
(( This is a gathering of republic soldiers and citizens alike. A formal party held once a year in August to celebrate the republic. Though the president doesn't always show up, it is a good way to get to know some fine soldiers and citizens. This year it is held in the Whitebane manner, the General's home. ))Rules: -Stay in character -Don't do the argue thing. -Please try to be consistent with your posting. -Follow the shop's set rules. -Have fun... or Else. <33 UPDATE MYSTERY SCOOB!:___________________________________(( So what does a cleverly chosen spin off mean? MYSTERY! So now there is a who done it in your hands. Seeing as Nicodemus won't be moving anytime soon and neither will the president, the cadets get to figure this one out. This is now counted as a mass MISSION. There will be an award for the one who catches the gun man.
-Yes, black fog is still about the room, but it doesn't cover the whole room. It has settled a bit more since it first appeared and now only goes about knee high.
-I'll slip subtle hints in with almost every post I make with Kard. Cross might have some subtle hints too. There will also be random people "I saw this and that" Some will be lying. But you never know who. Quite possibly no one will lie or only one will tell the truth. Fear does nutso things to people.
-or else. (( For Emothunder )) )) Foreshadow and a Note:___________________________________
The doors are all now locked up. So anyone who has not posted in this thread is no longer allowed to. In addition, those of you who were inactive for a -long- time are now under default something. Meaning your Character has left the party and will not participate in the events that are about to unfold.
Characters under Default Something: Thera -Deadly Nonchalance Tsuzume -BladeLight141 Jen -Duelist of Pokemon
If you are listed above than also note that your characters are now under disciplinary watch. (( OOC this means you have little chance at Missions and Organoid rolls. I'm aware that the shop has been slow as of late, but there will be missions handed out at some point. )) If you have a good reason for not posting in almost a month than please send me a PM why I should remove you from the default something list and the disciplinary list. You have three days to do so. If your reason is a good one I will remove you, but please do not pester about it. :3
If you are not on the list than please continue to be active in this small meta. As noted before there will be prizes given out at the end of this. It's a secret though.
School has started for some, and studies do come first. Please note when you cannot be on for a while. ( as I have already seen you guys do. I say it again because I care. har har har )<3 Note: Multiple conversations will happen. Try not to ignore people if their character tries to interact with yours. If ICly they are ignoring someone, than at least state that is what they are doing in your post. We don't want anyone left out. Multiple conversations will happen. Your character doesn't need to interact at the same time with everyone in the room. That would be crazy and ICly look very odd. Pages may jump if people are RPing a lot, but don't let that stop you from posting. Activity = win. (Or else) Read posts thoroughly so that nothing gets over looked. Such as an action to your characters. Overlooking does happen sometimes and we are not going to flame you or punish you for doing so. But please try not to (OR ELSE!!!!!.).....( <3 ILU guys.) If no one is interacting with your character, don't just quit RPing!!! Step up and interact with someone! Don't expect everyone to do the interacting work. It would be a-HUGE- shame if you just stopped posting. Noting bad can happen if your character steps up and says 'Hi'. I'll try to play some NPCs, but I can only do so much. I don't want to be posting crazy. :3 -RP Introduction:_____________________ZOIDs lined up outside of the estate for parking. A few soldiers, just out of basic training, were assigned to direct traffic and make sure people parked in the right spots. Horse drawn carriages would than escort people to the front door. Most of this was just to keep the lawn from being trampled. With more than a hundred ZOIDs appearing with more than a hundred persons. It was more of Phylis, Nicodemous' overbearing secritary's idea. She took her own time to work on the gardens near the house and would be furious if they were damaged. Upon reaching the door guests would be ushered into the ball room. A large and impressive room decorated with paintings of luscious scenery. Any other room was closed off, with silk rope or a butler standing by to inform people they may not pass. The Ball room had several large tables covered in silk cloth. Food, to include cheese pizza by request of the president, was placed on the tables on the right side of thte marble room while refreshments were on the left. There was a large punch bowl and several cans of grape soda. Lots and lost of cans of grape soda. In the corner musicians played classical music of the old republic. Dating back to the first great war of Zi. They were the finest musicians in the republic. It was tradition for them to play every year for the president. In the back of the ball room, near where the musicians played, the door was open so that guests could walk outside into the large back porch. There was a large fountain with Cherubs and two alicorns prancing about. It was an old statue that dated back before the first war. It was quite a fine piece of work. The fountain was large enough to where poeple could sit on the edge and watch the colorful fish swim about. It was hard to tell what kind they were, but they looked very elegant with their large fins. After the large porch there was a set of stairs leading down to the gardens surrounding a man made (zoid rather) lake. There were several hedges cut like animals placed in areas that made the garden look like lost paradise. Willow trees and vibrant flowers aided to this affect. Swans rested in the lake surface. Their feathers reflecting the full moon's light like silver. It was quite a breath taking sight. ______________________________________________

Nicodemous stood near the wall and watched as guests walked into the room. Occasionally he would fidget with the cuffs on his custom tux. All his clothing had to be custom due to his freakish height. Dr. Fox usually had his cloths fitted and made when Nicodemous went in for more testing.
The marble pillars acted like a shield for him so that no one would notice him immediately. God how he hated formals. But he did tell the president he would mingle a little. Luckily he saved some paper work he could return to, giving him a legit excuse to leave the party when he wanted to.
There was still no sign of the president, but that was expected. IF he showed up it was always late. He was a very busy man. So there was a legit excuse for his absence. Though it usually did disappoint guests. He felt bad about it every year he didn't make it. And Nicodemous heard about it every year he didn't make it via long phone call. Nicodemous hated long phone calls... but was happy to make the president feel better.
The room was already busting with music and guests by now. The formal was in full swing... hopefully it would go well this time.

"Alright, Raya. We're gonna have a good time here, or at least I will," Tsuzume Matsuki said, psyching herself up for tonight. She hadn't honestly wanted to come, truth be told, but she did. Her reasoning was that perhaps she'd have a chance to run into Lt. Dixon or General Whitebane, to thank them again. After all, she hadn't had the chance to thank General Whitebane for the upgrades to her liger! Aaand there was the matter of potentially seeing the president! Tsuzume looked forward to these things, and pushed the sticks forward.
She followed where the personnel indicated to put Raya, made a mental note of where she'd left the liger, and made her way to the carriages. A quiet ride later, and the all-dressed-up soldier found herself at the front door to the party. She'd heard... this was Whitebane's house! She quickly, and silently, hoped that she'd get the opportunity to thank him and entered. The soldier quickly found herself wishing that she'd brought a friend with her today... But she'd make due.
She kept her eyes open for any familiar faces while she ate some refreshers, and found herself tempted to go outside... But she'd wait a bit more for that.

Lt. Dixon had arrived at the party early with the other commanding officers to aid in setting up. That and help with all that grape soda that was being brought in. The president was an odd ball sometimes, but he did his job well.
He had yet to find a new ZOID to replace is beloved Gordos. The death of that ZOID hit heard after the mission, but he kept at his job. Piloting various other ZOIDs when he was needed to go on a mission. None of them were the same however.
"AH, There's my Cadet!" He laughed upon seeing Tsuzume entering the ball room. He'd never forget a face. Out of all the new cadets he's trained and gone on missions with, none have been even half as good as Tsuzume was. On several accounts he had bragged about her during mission stories with the other officers. Dixon made his way through the crowd to give 'his' cadet a proper greeting.

There was one out of three reasons she'd come to this party! What luck, that Tsuzume would run into him so early on. She set her little morsel down on the mini-plate to give a proper greeting.
... What was a proper greeting, in this instance? He was a superior officer, but this was an informal event... And his greeting seemed informal. She decided that she'd be better off safe than sorry, so she gave a little mix. She gave as formal a salute as she could in a dress and holding onto a plate in her not-saluting hand. (Alas, lack of a nearby table.) "Lieutenant Dixon, Sir," she said, unable to keep from her face and voice in that serious soldier tone. She thrust her hand from her forehead in typical salute form before continuing. "I just had a feeling I'd bump into you here! How are things for you lately?" She asked, genuinely curious. "I really wanted to thank you again, for helping me through my first mission!" She said with a smile, glad that she got the chance to thank him again.

Lt. Dixon couldn't help but laugh a little at the Cadet's mix of formal and informal. This must have been her first time here. He returned the salute. Though it was called the president's formal, it was more for people to dress formally. Or that's how the president himself explained it one year. Many were convinced he had too much wine, but anyone else knew he only drank the grape soda.
"Lately things have been as they always have been. Well, minus Gary being by my side. I can tell you it has been hard adjusting to missions without him." He cleared his throat. No need need for sad subject at a party. "But the weather has been astounding. Typical summer weather I say. " He laughed. "That was a grand mission indeed. I tell you all the officers are jealous that I got to have such a smart cadet for a fist mission walk through." And what a hard mission that was. Encountering the beast was unexpected. But they handled it just fine.
"And of yourself? Adjusting well?" He smiled. He had not been able to follow her progress since the mission, but had hoped to encounter here at this formal.

Thera looked up at Spirit before she was too leave for the ball. Seeing as Thera didn't have a car she was taking her liger. It wasn't like she wanted a car anyways. Zoids were more reliable. She was wearing a nice blue dress that was about the same shade as Spirit. Thera was carrying her military ID in a hidden pocket in the dress she was wearing and she had put her military uniform in a compartment in the cockpit of Spirit. Her Zoid purred telling Thera she was ready to go. "OK fine girl of we go then," Thera groaned. She hated wearing dresses no matter how long they were. She hopped up into the cockpit and closed the canopy and they took off towards were the ball was located.
Thera was pointed to a spot next to a Liger that had a modification to the shield. Thera laughed "We know her huh spirit." Spirit let out a growl scaring the person who had led them to where they were to park. Her growl wasn't an angry one but more of an growl of remembrance. Spirit crouched down so Thera wouldn't have to worry about her dress flying up. She shut the canopy and locked it then Spirit rose back up to a stand. Thera then headed to one of the carriages for the ride up to the place of the party.
She peeked through the door to the ballroom before she entered. She really didn't like large groups of people. She would have to get over it. Finally she entered the fairly crowded room.

There was a sense of awe within Chase as he entered the ballroom for the formal. There were so many people here; none whom he recognized right off the bat. That was something to be expected though, being fairly new amongst the military ranks. He was a little nervous, because of that fact, but he was also eager to go forth and meet with his comrads.
As he walked about the room, he was paying attention more to the room and some of the people.. rather than where he was walking. And so the cadet ended up walking right into something.
"Ah! Sorry!" he quickly apologized with a bow, hoping that whoever he bumped into wouldn't be angry.

Lewis had made a point of sneaking into the formal near the very beginning of the event wearing his one and only nice suit paired with a blue tie of scattered shades. It seemed appropriate for the occasion. Being dressed all prim and proper was not his favorite thing but he could pull it off when needed. It was the only variable that could easily be controlled at this sort of thing and this was one of those occasions he did not want to screw up.
For the time he had been there he had been socializing with a small group of villagers that had traveled an impressively long ways to get here. He rather enjoyed being able to hear how their crops had been fairing and the mundane going ons of the less heavily populated territories. Some areas were quiet while others were becoming more dangerous.
Once the conversation had begun to die down he said his goodbyes and finally had a chance to sneak off to a slightly less heavily populated section. Thank goodness he was finally able to take a breather. These frivolous formal things were always exhaustively stressful for him. Lewis was lost in thought for a moment as he tried to think up a way to sneak away early while weighing the pros and cons of that decision. Once Lewis had returned to his reluctant decision to stay put something or someone crashed into him. He stumbled sideways a few steps but recovered with a minimal level of flailing. After regaining his footing he watched in surprise at the instantaneous apology.
"It-It's ok. No harm no foul." Lewis looked at the other soldier still somewhat startled. Thank goodness it wasn't someone who he knew. "Are you alright?"

Looking up now, the cadet was rather relieved to find that he hadn't bumbled straight into a general or anyone along those lines. It probably wouldn't look too good for him as a first impression to walk right into one of the higher ups. That aside, it was also a good thing the other guy wasn't carrying a drink. Though, he was still feeling a bit embarrassed with his blunder.
With a sigh, he stepped back from the other soldier to give him some room.
"Yeah.. Are you alright?" he started, starting to feel a sense of awkwardness sink in. This definitely wasn't how he expected this party to start for him and he was starting to think this was going to be a long night.

Angelina slipped into Seraphim's cockpit wearing a white dress with ornate patterns much like Seraphim's own design and her hair up in an intricate bun. Angelina made sure she had everything before leaving and placed uniform in the seat behind her. Her ID sat on top along with her silver purse. "Shall we?" She asked Seraphim. Seraphim growled approvingly as Angelina steered the blade liger toward the party at a good pace.
As they arrived Angelina payed attention to where she was supposed to park Seraphim conveniently beside a few other ligers. "Well at least you will have company." she said with a smile. Angelina love parties and dressing up too. One of the few times she got to dress up, usually she was covered in grime and sweat when she was working despite her attempts to keep herself looking presentable.
The light blue cockpit opened and Angelina slipped out after grabbing her purse and ID. "See you soon." she smiled up at her Blade liger before heading off to the party. Stepping through the doors and making her way toward the garden. Unfortunately her her she hardly knew anyone here.
Lorna had her red hair down but at the same time it was neatly pulled out of her face though her trademark flower sat gingerly on her ear. Lorna wore a deep forest green dress with no patterns. Lorna walked about the ball room looking for a familiar face. Why did she even come? She wondered. She made her way over to a table after getting some food. This was just going to be another formal Lorna sighed. She'd rather e working on her Gunsniper.

Jen could only whistle with admiration as she stared at the grand manor from the cockpit of her Barigator. It sure put her parents caravn to shame...Hell, it even seemed to glitter! SHINE! Dude, where did the general get so much cash?!
Sure, as a member of the republican army, she had to attend....unwillingly. Ah well, free drink and food! All she had to do was act like a noble! Easy.....right? ..............Yeah, to hell with that idea.
With practiced ease, the cadet guided the lumbering ZOID into a decent-sized parking spot (for shame if she scratched up any of the richy-rich persons ZOIDs!) and jumped out as the cockpit opened. Dressed in a pair of midnight-blue dress pants and a blazer of the same shade over a silvery-white silk blouse, she actually looked like she could blend in for once! Heck, she even forced herself to wear a set of high heels and put her hair up in a fancy manner....
Jen grumbled and mouped as she made way towards the carriages taking guests to the house. The sooner this party was over, the better. She'd rather be back in the bunks reading one of her books. Mouping more as she walked through a set of grand doors into the main ballroom, Jen glanced up long enough to admire the decorations before the refreshment table hooked and dragged her attention towards it...though respect screamed at her to find and present herself to the General...
Damn internal conflicts!

Nicodemous remained in the back, near the wall, behind the pillar. He recognized most of the people in the room, except for all the cadets. Usually he would get to meet them after their basic training was over, but events had prevented that his time around. For the most part he felt safe from having to move into the large crowded area. But he was feeling it was about time for him to try and slip into his office to finish the paper work in quiet. He could leave it to the guards and soldiers to keep the peace... right?
He looked over the guests and begun to plan his escape route. It was impossible to 'blend in' as he stuck out like a tree in a shrub farm... So this one would be tricky.

As Angelina neared the back of the ballroom she recognized the general who seemed to be hiding in the corner. She hadn't actually met her general in person but she saw him once and the other soldiers point him out, so she at least had a face to go by. Suppose it would be rude to just walk by. Angelina started to approach the general, but she paused at first unsure as to the exact method to introduce herself. Should she be formal or informal or both? Angelina started walking toward the general still debating inwardly with herself.
"Ah General!" she said raising her right arm to her forehead in a salute. "Cadet Angelina Solaris, Pilot of the Wing Blade Seraphim." She took a breath after. She was still slightly nervous but she smiled. "It's an honor to meet you in person finally General."

Just as Nicodemous found an opening he heard a formal greeting. So close to being away from the large crowd... But he was never one to be rude to a guest. No matter how much he wished to be alone. Nicodemous looked around and quickly he found the source of the greeting. He cleared his throat as he looked down to meet gaze with Angelina.
"At ease Cadet."His voice was bold and deep. "The pleasure is mine..." He than gave a slight bow and returned the smile. The wing blade? Nicodemous remembered field testing it for Dr. Fox a while back. It had been given a fitting name.
