Aim Log :
The sound of crackling thunder could be heard over head in the gray sky. Still, the dampening promise of a storm was still far away and by no means was a little rain going to keep Lucianus in the family den all day. No, today was about learning as much as he could about the pride.
So young and already interested in learning, though it wasn't really for his own gain. Lucianus needed to learn as much as he could to up his status in his mothers eyes. He needed to look good and one way to do so was snooping around the pride and learning anything extra about it that might gain his mothers favor.
The sky cracked again, the storm was drawing closer but still Lucianus continued his patrol. A determined look in his eye no cub his age should have gleamed. -------
Thunder was...kind of a little bit scary maybe well not really and this wasn't making sense at all was it? Shaking his head, Quintus growled as he bounced through the pridal lands, chasing a particularly quick beetle, determined not to lose it. He was going to become an amazing leader, or hunter, or something one day, and that would involve speed! Although probably speed a little faster than just chasing this beetle. Because...he kept losing his concentration. Blinking his seablue eyes, he glanced around, growling to himself as he realized it was nowhere to be seen. DAMNIT.
Kicking aside a pebble in anger, Quintus looked to the sky, glaring at it. It was the sky's fault! If it hadn't been so gloomy and loud, then he wouldn't have thought about thunder and he wouldn't have gotten distracted, and he wouldn't have lost the beetle. Sighing in defeat, he plopped himself down on the ground where he was, in the middle of the lands. Rain began to fall, but he ignored it, yawning loudly as he rolled over onto his back. Getting wet would be fun. ------
The rain struck as Lucianus had expected it would, but at the same time it surprised him. The small leopard let out a yip and almost jumped up. Cold wet drops of rain smacked into him softly.
Okay so maybe he wasn't so fond of the rain because now his pace had quicken and his tail was twitching here and there in annoyance. Ick, ah well. A son of Atia didn't complain about such silly things. No they hid their emotions under a mask... and right now the sheer look of displeasure was plastered on the young cubs mug. Darn, oh well. Maybe no one would see him.
That was when another cub entered his field of vision. Another cub? Lucianus swallowed his discomfort and decided to investigate. His head hung low and his tail straightened as his arrogant mask formed round his features giving Lucianus a more defined and confident look then he really was. Just who was this cub on his back in the rain? Slowly, the cub padded.
--------- Quintus closed his eyes, smiling into the rain as it fell onto his face and body, eventually bursting into loud peels of laughter, giggling almost manically as he rolled around and around, finally resting on his back again as he opened his sparkling, gleeful eyes...to see feet. Blinking, he quickly rolled onto his front, frowning at the leopard cub before him. He hadn't met a leopard yet - although, to be fair, he hadn't met many creatures at all. He was still young.
"Who're you?" he asked, somewhat rudely, frowning in confusion as he tilted his head to the left, watching Lucianus curiously.
---------
Lucianus took a step back, eyes wide, when the other cub started giggling. This behavior confused the leopard, he'd never seen any of his siblings or any other creature behave in such a manor. Had Lucianus missed something? The cub blinked, his mouth half open and his eyes wide just staring at the other.
"Lucianus, son of Atia," The purple blue cub finally said, his voice almost was a soft whisper. He was still pretty lost on what he'd just walked in on.
The cub rebuilt his mask in seconds and took a bold paw step forward, "May I ask the same?" His voice was still soft but a bit of a bold tone of entitlement laced those words. Obviously Lucianus didn't know who whe was talking to.

Atia? Quintus frowned - he'd heard that name from somewhere. Wasn't she that crazy leopard lady who he'd heard the other cubs talking about. Apparently, her cubs were weird too. Woa, awesome, he was getting to meet a weird cub! Smiling brightly, the young lion cub's tail swayed from side to side as the cub asked him the same thing.
"Quintus, son of Caesar Maximus," he replied, using the same format Lucianus had used. Being so young, he didn't really regard his status all that much. Sure, his dad was the Caesar...but he still just wanted to have fun! So he continued, grinning as he lowered his front, waggling his hind in the air in a rather playful manner. "Let's play tag!"

Lucianus eyes widened. He could not believe that this playful lion before him was the Caesars son. For some reason he imagined the airs around the off spring of the Caesar would be more ... like how him and his siblings carried them selves.
And now here the son of the Caesar wanted to play tag? The leopard tilted his head at the other. He was aware tag was a game and had watched it be played before but never had anyone invited him to play. Really, none of his siblings had ever asked him to play. This was ... strange.
Shrugging , Lucianus lowered into a crouch position mimicking Quintus with the butt wiggle. It was all very odd looking how Lucianus did it. "Like this?" The cub blinked.

Quintus watched Lucianus with a bright smile, waiting for the leopard cub to imitate his position. There was a slight delay, but eventually he did, checking with Quintus that it was correct. The cub nodded eagerly, giggling gleefully as he began to bound from side to side, before suddenly darting forwards, tapping the leopard on the nose with a loud cry of, "TAG!"
...Then he turned, took two great bounds forwards to get away from Lucianus, before looking back of his shoulder with a grin, clearly quite enjoying himself.

The leopard blinked again at being "tagged". He looked like a fish out of water just sitting there and staring as the lion ran some other way. What was he supposed to do. Was this like that hide and find game he saw some other cubs play?
Shrugging, Lucian padded over to a bolder and hid behind it. This seemed pointless and stupid and the leopard wasn't all the way sure why he was indulging this idiotic game. Oh right, Caesar's son.
The leopard bit his lip, clearly out of his element.
