Recently, Wei had felt so alone. The one she loved wasn't a pride member, so he was rarely around, and she had no close friends. She only stayed because of her faith in the pride itself, regardless of how alone and lonely she had become.
Soon, though, she knew that that feeling would go away. Once he joined the pride, she'd never feel alone again. But until that day came, Wei had to find some sort of thing to do to entertain herself. But what?

Kiden realized that it was probably a bad idea to be wandering through prides that weren't her own. But she was traveling south, and the idea of traversing around boundaries wasn't particularly appealing to her. There was far too much space to work around, and she had straightforwardly decided that it would be the best course of action to simply traverse those prides she knew were not enemies. After all, a young lioness of the Nchi'Mahadhi wasn't going to cause much of a threat, was she?
Nonetheless, she kept her head down and her profile low and unthreatening, not particularly eager to get ambushed and attacked as a presumed enemy. But her mind was light and she was subconsciously counting the rhythm of her steps as she walked (once Nchi, always Nchi in that respect, she supposed). The sun was still low in the sky, though it was approaching noon with a rapidity she wished it lacked, the weather was cool enough...overall,i t was quite lovely.
And then a scent on the breeze made her freeze, ears flat to her skull, head down, tail twitching furiously. Somehow, the constant reassurance she was giving herself wasn't enough to overcome the near-paralyzing terror she felt at the scent of another pride's lion. She suddenly moved a lot more cautiously, trying hard to avoid giving away her position.

It didn't take long for Wei to notice something different lingering on the edge of the pride. She didn't see it at first, but after spending most of her time along the border by herself, Wei seemed to always know when something was out of place. She flicked her ears up, searching for a sound that could tell her more about the disturbance in the 'force.'
It didn't phase her much, though, because the disturbance seemed to be coming from their neighboring pride, their friends. Wei had traveled to that pride numerous times, and was warmly welcomed each time. She only hoped that if this stranger was from there, she could show them the same kind of welcome that she had received.
She rose, slowly walking towards the border, her eyes flicking back and forth anxiously.
