He's a little young though? And fan's prefer the older Doctor since it makes him seem more wise. But hey good choice...Emma should be his companion XD

I though the doctor only regenerates 11 times, the next guy, Smith would be the last.

Always, but Moffat might just change it, and all the fans of the classic DW would hate him for it

Anybody got an episode cite where it was confirmed there are only 12 regennerations possable? It had something to do with the Master and how he was given an extra set of regennerations, right? Not so up on my old Doctor Who info.
As is...one has to wonder...was David Tennet both the 10th and 11th Doctor? 'cause he did use regenneration energy to heal himself and the rest was used in the metacrisis...that's another topic of discussion, isn't it?
anyway, hopefully Moffat finds a logical way to get arround it. Like what if the limit was artifically imposed by the Time Lords and now that they're gone the limit no longer applies? One possability...

D: Rupert Grint can't be the doctor, because every time I saw him I'd be thinking "ooh look, it's Ron", which would totally ruin the doctor who experience... :S

David Tennant is the tenth regeneration. Matt Smith will be the 11th. There will be only one more regeneration. I agree if Rupert Grint became the Doctor all I would think of is Ron and Harry Potter, but in the case of his age by the time that Matt Smith is done, Rupert may be a lot older. Besides, Matt Smith isn't exactly ancient and neither is David Tennant.

Thirteen selves was confirmed in The Deadly Assassin and mentioned in quite a few others - Logopolis, The Keeper of Traken and The Five Doctors spring to mind. We see a Time Lord's final incarnation in The Twin Delimma. But, given the Time war, and the fact that the Master has had 16 zillion bodies, plus an apparently new life cycle, getting around the 12 limit shouldn't be too much of a problem.

The new doctors have been getting progressivley younger these days. Soon it'll look a bit illigal for Jack to snog on them lmao. I can the point of "oh it's Ron... Wheres Harry?" I would be so confused. They usually use actors who are a bit unknown to us in the states and make them well known.
