We're gonna try having a theme one more time, but if the same thing happens this time as it did the last two times (Dispatch had to make that Noise Off banner cus no one else did) then I'm going to suggest to Dispatch that we scrap the idea.
It's a great idea, but no one seems to want to actually make the banner once we have a theme. The mods can't do it every month. It's supposed to be an activity that gets all guild member involved.
I am going to leave the Spelling Bee banner up throughout December since it never really had its month, so the next set of nominations and voting will be for January.
Normal theme rules apply?
Quote:
.:Theme nomination and voting Rules:.
1. Both plays and musicals are eligible for nomination.
2. Broadway, Off-Broadway, OR off-off Broadway shows are all eligible.
3. Past themes are NOT eligable.
4. Unless noted otherwise, any play or musical that has not been a previous theme can be nominated. Themed months might pop up every now and then, but that?s not definite yet.
5. There will be an EQUAL number of both plays and musicals on the final voting poll. It is either going to be three and three OR four and four. That decision has not been made yet.
6. Each guild member can nominate ONE play and ONE musical a month.
7. Each guild member can then BACK up to THREE plays and THREE musicals a month.
8. The musicals and plays with the most backing by the time of the final poll will be the ones that make it to the poll.
This 'backing' system might be a little confusing at first, but once everyone gets to understand it, the guild crew hopes that it will work out for the future.
To go a little further in depth on the system, here is a little example of how it shall work:
-----------
WickedElphie- I nominate 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' and 'Footloose'
DispatchNA- I nominate 'The Pillowman' and 'Annie', but I also back 'Footloose.'
PensivePine- I nominate 'The Mousetrap' and back 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' and 'Footloose.'
WickedElphie- I back 'The Pillowman' and 'The Mousetrap'.
---
End result: we have 5 nominates:
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (backed by 1 member)
Fooloose (backed by 2 members)
The Pillowman (backed by 1 member)
Annie
The Mousetrap (backed by 1 member)
