She had new tattoos now and they were pretty, she was very proud of her new markings, they were spreading further and further up her body and with each new mark a new story was added to her adventures. Truly only she knew what the stories said, but she liked it that way, she liked it that her tales were secret to her.

Bounding through the long grass she made her usual beeline for the water. She loved to go to the water to see Totoro, that was where he hung out. He was quiet but he listened to her words and appreciated her tall tales.

Bounding out in to the small clearing surrounding the lake she called out whipping her short tufted tail "Totorooo? Where are you?" She puurs.

Taradhia loved his tattoos, as most likely all Ela'wadiyi did. The more he got, the more mature he felt, and the more important he felt to the entire Pride. His days of exploring and discovering new things just for the fun of it had passed, and now he wanted to find things out for the Pride's benefit. This meant that he went exploring everyday now, and that he would almost always visit somewhere new. This morning, he had come to a lake that he liked to visit every so often. It was a place where he would sometimes find other Pride members, whom he could share stories and information with. Today was no exception.

"Terema?" Although he had only met her once before, he had a fantastic memory, and so he remembered her voice well. She was a friend of Eeva's, and the creature she was calling out for was a friend of hers. He smiled as he went to join her as she arrived at the lake's edge. He hadn't seen Totoro today, but he hoped that that wouldn't mean that she was going to leave.

Turning her gaze towards the sound of movement, she expected Totoro to come clopping through the long grass but instead, Taradhia appeared. She smiled a broad grin and flickered her tail happily "Taradhia!" She puurred and approached him without any pause, she head butted the young male and ran her body all the way around his admiring his new tattoos as she went.

"You got big!" She grins sitting down in front of him with her paws pulled tightly together, she was showing off her own tattoos, she was ever so proud of the markings she had started to accumulate and she took every opportunity to try and show them off to someone.

Needless to say, Taradhia was a bit shocked by the playful headbutt given to him by Terema. It didn't hurt though, so he didn't mind it at all. "So have you!" He guessed that they must be around about the same age, as they were both of a fairly similar size, with him only being slightly bigger because he was male.

"How are you?" He said with a smile, before noting the way that she was sat. She appeared to be showing off the tattoos on her paws. They were really nice, especially the colour. "I really like blue." Again he smiled, although his expression appeared to be somewhat curious. Was it just him, or were the tattoos kind of 'shiny'?

Terema giggles happily tapping her forepaws on the ground happily "Yeah, daddy says we are all growing up really big and strong." She grins and looks at one of her paws. "I like blue too." She purrs looking him over "you are getting lots of cool tattoos!" She looks him over, it had been some time since she had seen the young male and he was growing up to be a big guy with lots of amazing tattoos. She appreciated a good tattoo.

"I like to have my tattoos in different colours, do you like them?" She was ever so proud of the way her tattoos were different from other people tattoos.

Taradhia's smile turned a little bit more sheepish when Terema complimented his tattoos. "Thanks. I really like them too." Being fascinated by facts and exploration meant that Taradhia wasn't the 'coolest' of youths. He wasn't sure if his tattoos were as cool as the juvenile female made out, but it was nice to think that they were. They represented who he was, so if others liked them, it meant a lot to him.

Terema seemed to read his mind as she mentioned that her tattoos were done in different shades of blue. "I didn't know they could be done like that." He said with a small shake of his head. "They look really good." Saying that, he decided to flop down into a sitting position, before looking out over the lake. "The water is all different shades of blue as well."

Terema smiles and flickers her short tufted tail happily "yeah, thats why my tattoos are like that. I love the water." She purrs turning her eyes on the shimmering waves, a pleased sigh rolling over her lips "I think this is my favorite place in the world.

"Your tattoos are just as nice though, like the sand of the ground or the bark of the trees, or the wing f the little sparrow. They are beautiful."

Taradhia grinned and turned back to the female. "That's very nice of you to say. Thanks!" Terema was very sweet, so sweet that he actually felt bad that they hadn't seen each other in a while. With them living in different Clans though, it couldn't really be helped. And Taradhia did love spending a lot of time with his family, so the only time he ever really encountered others was when he was out and about. From now on he would probably make more effort to meet up with Terema if possible.

Another curious question eventually came to Taradhia's mind as he turned back to look out over the water. "Do you know how to swim?" He had yet to learn how to swim, as his parents had warned him against going in the lake without an adult nearby. He wasn't stupid, so he knew better than to do something that his parents warned him against.

She too had missed her friend, but she spent an inordinate amount of time at the water pool and with her family, she didn;t really wander very far in her travels, occasionally she and Totoro would go on a little quest but it was never very far, her parents wouldn't like her to get lost after all.

Terema gave a very big not "Oh yes, Totoro taught me how, he's a great swimmer." She puurred and looked around, Totoro hadn't shown up yet, but sometimes he just took his time coming especially if any other lions were about. "Totoro maybe doesn't remember you but he will come soon. Do you wanna learn? It's so much fun and you can play in the water."

She giggles and pads a few feet in to the shallows turning around and splashing at Taradhia with the cool clear water, a grin on her dark maw. "With Totoro here we won't drown or nothin', he's a waterbuck after all he knows these waters like the back of his hoof"

Taradhia was as adventurous as the next juvenile, if not more so. But there was no way that he would go against what his parents had said. He simply respected them too much. So as much as he wanted to give swimming a try, he just couldn't. He quickly shook his head. "Sorry, but my parents said that it would be too dangerous to go swimming without an adult around." A look of embarassment crossed his face. "I don't know if Totoro would count, so I'd rather not risk it."

When Terema splashed him, his smile soon returned. He immediatly stood up and ran away from the water's edge, so that she wouldn't be able to splash him again. "That's not fair! How am I supposed to get you back?"

Terema giggled and stuck out her tongue playfully, she ducked under the water for a moment then came running at him pouncing the other juvenile, dripping wet she shook herself all over him giggling happily.

"I dunno! I guess you'd have to learn to swim first!" She giggles, shaking her bangs out in Taradhia's face.

Taradhia attempted to shield himself with his paws, but it was no good. When Terema ran up and shook out her coat she completely soaked him. This was the kind of thing that Eeva would do to him if she got the chance, so at least he knew now not to take his sister here. After giving himself a quick shake, he turned back to Terema. "I'll ask my parents if it's OK for Totoro to teach me how to swim." He wasn't sure what their answer would be, but it was certainly worth a try. After all, who would know the water better than a waterbuck?

With this in mind, Taradhia motioned in the direction of his family's den. "I'm going to go ask them right now!" He then gave her a friendly little nuzzle. "It was nice seeing you again Terema. I'm sure I'll see you again very soon!" With that, the white juvenile went running off in the direction of home, eager to ask his parents about learning to swim.
