For once she was getting to sneak out of the pride and to the boarders. Aekea had made herself stay within the pride until she had a good grasp of her stuttering problem. Unfortunately, she realized that would not be any time soon. Thus, why she ventured to the boarders and climbed on top of a fallen tree that was at an incline from being stuck on another tree. Her claws dug into the bark that was slightly damp from the previous day's rain. "M-m-man..... I-I'm bored..." Her speech was slow and thoughtful, but still, obviously, full of stutters.

As soon as she'd been old enough, Takatifu had separated from her family. While she did love them, she knew she needed to make a life of her own. Away from the safety they provided and into the unknown... It was why she'd been wandering in the Rogue Lands, although she had unknowingly strayed rather close to the borders of a pride. It was only when she noticed the young cub that she realized that she'd maybe strayed into pridal territory. White ears flicked forward and Takatifu gave a small smile. "Hello there!"

A voice made her ears twitch and her body to tense up. Slowly, her head turned to where she heard the voice coming from and she saw.... something. It was a very odd looking lioness. At least, that's what Aekea thought. Still, she sat up in alarm and stayed very still. But there was a smile upon the other's face. Maybe she wasn't a mean odd looking lioness. Easing slowly, Aekea allowed herself to smile back. "H-h..." She took a breath and exhaled loudly. "Hi..."
"I'm Takatifu. I'm sorry if I'm intruding. I didn't even know there was a pride around here!" Takatifu said happily, smiling and sitting down a good lion-length from the cub, her tail curled around her haunches.
Her tail flicked a little bit as the other came near, but she gave a full smile and laughed softly. Someone who'd talk to her, it seemed like! "I'm... A-Aek-kea. And... t-th--the pride... i-is not to f-f-far away." She growled in frustration at her stuttering, huffing. "S-So-sorry..."
"It's alright, Aekea! You sound kinda like you're nervous. But you don't need to be nervous! I'm nice, honest!" Takatifu said, grinning and kneading the ground beneath her paws. Really, the little cub was cute! Takatifu almost wanted to just go right up and snuggle her, but she didn't dare. At least not yet.
"I-i-it's.. not.. n-nerves. I-I st-t-tutter." With a little sigh the orange cub moved a bit closer to the other, wanting to get a better feel for her. "What.... W-what.. kind o-of lion... are you?" She asked, finally pressing her nose against the other's to sniff a little bit.
"Well that's alright. It's kind of cute!" Takatifu said, grinning and staying still. When Aekea came up to sniff her nose, the young leopardess couldn't help but playfully bump her nose closer to the lioness's before laughing softly. "I'm not a lion, silly! I'm a leopard!"
She jumped back at the bump, but her playful side came over her and she pawed at the other's nose. Her words boggled the lion and Aekea tilted her head to the side. A leopard? "I-I've only... heard of them..." She was thinking about what to say and how to say it without stuttering. Maybe she'd master it and never stutter again! In her excitement, Aekea let out a bubbly laugh and then tilted her head, examining the other one.
"Well now you can say you've met one!" Takatifu said, laughing as well and playfully pulling back before Aekea accidentally clawed her nose. That probably wouldn't have made a very good first impression, after all!
Laughing a bit more, Aekea watched Takatifu again. "H-How come.... We d-d-don't.. s-see many o-of you're k-kind?" Finally, the little lioness settled down and laid, pressing her belly to the earth, paws tucked firmly under her. Her black head tuft fell into an eye, but she paid it no attention, it was normal for her; she was a bit shaggy looking after all, almost as if she were in between stages.
"I dunno. Maybe most leopards stay away from prides because they're scared all the lions will gang up on them?" Takatifu said lightly, her head tilting to the side in confusion.
"Lions... g-gang up-p on.... y-you?" Aekea just couldn't understand it. Why would anyone gang up on anyone? Looking over the leopardess' colors, she realized that Takatifu would be the lowest rank in her pride if she'd joined. She was to pale, had to much white on her. Her pride loved color; which is why she was a Gasht. She had so much color on her, despite the black. "M-ma-maybe... it's j-just t-the fact that l-lions are b-b-b-igger..."
"Well, they've never ganged up on me. But maybe that's what the other leopards are afraid of!" Takatifu said lightly, her tail flicking as she frowned lightly. "Although, that might be it too! I don't mind lions at all."
The little one pawed at the dirt, letting it slide under her claws. With a little noise, Aekea thumped her tail against the dirt again and then got up to paw at Takatifu's head again and tackled her. "W-wanna p-p-play?"
"Sure! But be careful. I may be bigger than you, but I'm not that strong!" Takatifu said, laughing softly even as she ended up flopped on her back.
Her teeth went to Taka's ear and tugged playfully, pawing at her throat before getting up and then sat on her stomach. Her ears twitched to the sound of her mother calling for her and she rolled her eyes. Just as she was starting to have fun and relax, she'd have to go! "W-will.... will you be ar-r-round t-tomorrow?"
"I can stick around until tomorrow. Maybe we could have enough time to play then!" Takatifu said, grinning and shifting to playfully ruffle Aekea's mane tuft.
With a laugh, the girl butted her head against Taka's own and darted off towards her mother's voice. Her spirits would be high until then. Maybe she'd found a friend she could always talk too!
