Honestly Flint had no plans of letting the girls leave the apartment any more than absolutely necessary, but Echo developed a bit of a cough and Lenore refused to leave her side, making him worry that both would come down with something. After a little prodding and pleading, promising it would be safe, and eventually had to guarantee a trip to the toy store, he was able to get both his daughters dressed and out the door to head to the fertility clinic. The "good" Dr. promised a lifetime guarantee of free checkups in the contract. Normally he'd look into this, but in his current mindsets, it was further down on his to-do list.
As he entered the clinic, Lenore was happily walking beside him with her tiny hand encased in his. Echo found it much more enjoyable to perch herself in his bone-like wings. The man's eyes darted around the waiting room for another sign of life before impatiently smashing down on the counter to call for assistance.
"Daddy go smash!" Echo's high-pitched giggle matched the level of the bang.
Lenore looked at the little decoration in the room. "Ew."

Moments after the counters was a series of noise that came from the office, a few things clattering to the ground and rushed movement. It culminated in something, hitting the door hard and a string of what might have been profanity but was muffled by the closed door so it was impossible to tell.
At last the door of the office opened and a young woman dressed in the clothes of a nurse, stepped out rubbing her forehead (where she had hit it walking into the door). She looked to counter to see what it was that had caused the noise. Upon seeing the man and the two children there she smiled. "Hello, can I help you?" she asked.

"Yes, I think one of my daughters may be sick. Dr... Ronchas told me to bring them in for future check-ups." Flint picked up Lenore and hoisted her into the hair, letting her head rest comfortably on his chest. For a clinic he felt apprehensive of his daughters catching something worse rather than get treated, but he had no where else to take them.
"Echo coughs sometimes." Lenore turned around to face her sister, tugged on her twin's hair ribbon, and addressed the nurse once more, "Kisses don't make it better."

"Oh, right, yes, I can do that, the check up I mean" the young woman by the name of Rin. She was babbling a little but that was because she was a little nervous, she hadn't been working here all that long and it was her first time being left alone in the office, but both the doctor and Selma were busy today so here she was. She knew what she was doing but that didn't change the fact that she was nervous.
She frowned for a second as Lenore spoke "Aww, that's sad," and then Rin smiled, "We'll see what we can do to make that better, if you head into the office I can take a look at them... Oh and also if I could get your names, need to find the cart on these two darlings."

"Echo."
"Lenore."
The family somehow found a way to answer in unison without a cue. Echo began to climb down her father's bones while Lenore kicked the air attempting to join her sister. Flint grunted and set her down, and the two girls locked arms, looking up at the nurse with saucer eyes.
"I'm not sure if this will help, but the last time we were here was for a pre-natal exam." While not being one to volunteer information, anything to expedite this process could surely be sacrificed.

Rin smiled at them when they all spoke, it was rather cute, in fact as the girls, now on the ground, looked up at her wide eyes, she had to say they were absolutely adorable.
"Oh, well than its a good thing you came in," she said to Flint "I think there are a couple things that need doing, I'll double check on their file."
With that she walked over to the desk in the waiting room and rooted around in that general area trying to remember where the paitient files were kept until she actually found what she was looking for, the file on Lenore and Echo. "Okay, here it is, we can go into the office and I'll look at them now," she said brightly as she walked into the office.

Echo released her sister and darted after the nurse, hitting the same door she had earlier, though with her abilities leaving a rather large dent. The toddler merely shook it off and kept wobbling on, following the nice lady in the pretty white outfit.
Flint took a step towards the office, but was cut off by Lenore. "No, Daddy. Girls only." He smiled at her, shifted one foot, and failed to find the ability to tell his princess 'no' after she gave him such a cute pout. "...All right, but I'll be right out here."

Rin flinched a little when turning around and seeing the small girl hit the door, she knew that can of pain all to well so she often got sympathy pain when she saw others to similar klutzy things. She was happy to see that the child seemed to be alright, though for a brief moment she worried about the kind of trouble she'd get in for the new dent in the door.
She didn't bother to close the door once the girls were inside the room. The only other person in the building was there father so privacy wasn't really an issue, so unless the girls protested it would stay open, feeling it would probably be better for all involved if the father could see what she was doing if he so desired.
"Okay lets get a good look at you," she said looking down at Echo, and tapping the examine table. There was a small stool to make it easier for some of their smaller patients to get up, but even then it might of been hard for these little girls, so she added "do you need some help up?"

"UPUPUPUP!" Echo grinned and made grabby hands for the lady. She didn't care if she could make it herself or not, she just wanted to go SWOOSH through the air and sit on the softie-booboo-fixer table. It even had that crinkle paper on it with cartoon characters on it... did it taste like regular paper, or was did each character have a special taste?
Looking from the stool, to the table, back to Rin, Lenore impassively waited for the woman to place her where she needed to be. She may have been able to reach it on her own, but that would wrinkle her dress. "Yes." Please would have been added, but frankly, she just didn't feel like asking.

Rin grinned herself, she loved kids, it was about half the reason she took this job. She bent down and picked up Echo first as she seemed more enthusiastic about it all (that and she was the sick one) and put her down and the examine table and then went and picked her sister up too.
"Okay, first we do the important thing, figuring out what is the matter so that I can make it better," she said, "now you said you were coughing? was there anything else the matter?"

"I make things go boom!" Echo stood up on the table and started to jump excitedly. Lenore, worried her sister was going to bring both the table and themselves crashing down, tugged gently at Echo's sleeve to convince the girl to nestle in beside her.
"Echo's shown signs of having ...special abilities." Flint poked his head through the door, trying or keep eye contact with his little angels. Though Lenore was pouting and glaring at his decision to enter, he intrepidly crossed the threshold and patted her on the head. "It's okay sweetie, Daddy's are allowed to be in." Honestly he didn't realize why he couldn't have used that excuse before.

"Special abilities, huh, well to be perfectly honest, that is kinda normal," Rin replied, for a second she wondered if this was something she was suppose to be saying, she was still a tiny bit uncertain about all the rules, but than the rest of her brain blocked that part out, why shouldn't she say that? It was sort of important. "A lot of our kids, the clinc's kids, seem to be a little special."
Saying this caused her to have a little bit of a light bulb moment, remembering something, she flipped open the file and scanned it for a moment. "Right like I thought, after I check out you girls I'm going to need to give you a booster shot," then she looked to Flint and said, "just a booster, something we give all the kids."

"Normal?" He shifted, his weight once more, and then gave a dazzling smile. "Well thank you, I feel much better now. Lenore hasn't shown any powers, is that normal, too?" It was relieving that he wasn't the cause of Echo's... abnormalities, but that was not something to be discussed here.
Lenore looked at her father with an impassive glance. She did have powers. She could make the ugly flower turn pretty and the other flower turn ugly. But she wasn't going to say anything. It was too much of a bother.
"NOSHOTNOSHOT!" Echo's howls broke through the oncoming silence. She clung to her sister and peered up at the lady, hoping that Daddy would stop the evil hurty pokey stick.

Rin smiled too, mainly cause she liked smiling and if there was ever anyone near her doing it, she did too. "Well there is still a chance that she'll get them later, like develope them later in life" she replied to his question, mentally adding that the chance was something close to 100%.
When Echo started to yell it was enough to startle the young nurse, causing her to jump and drop the file, sending all the papers within flying. "Oh sh- shoot," she said, but decided to ignore them for now and kept her attention on the girls. "Oh don't worry, it really doesn't hurt all that bad," she said trying to comfort Echo.

Flint nodded accordingly, wondering what sorts of trouble his girls would get into once Lenore became a walking wrecking ball like her sister. Hopefully she would get an ability that was less expensive to maintain.
Lenore turned to Echo, still carrying an impassive look, but pointed towards the needle. "Echo, we'll play dolls when we get home, but you have to let her poke you first." She paused before thoughtfully adding, "I'll let you be Hulk." She found pleasure in knowing that she was the one who could help her sister. No one else could break their bond.
Biting her lip and held out her arm, waiting for the meany hurty stick. The offer of being Hulk was just too, tempting. She loved making him go smashy smashy to the other dolls. "...Kay."
