hi all! my name is cj and i'm cool. biggrin
anyway, mkat got me into Dir en grey. i watched that Yokan pv she had and couldn't stop listening to it afterwards. it was also because of that pv that my favorite member is Die. i really loved his hair and his solo. plus, i like all the songs that he writes.

THE ABOUT ME PART:
Name: Bren Lee (hence the handle - Brenli. Ain't I creative?)

THE WHAT GOT ME INTO DIRU PART:
It was a growing thing, from anime to jpop to jrock. I went to a jrock site that had Diru listed among the bands, along with one sample song ("Cage"). I was captivated by Kyo's voice and Totchi's bass solo.
THE WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THEM PART:
Honestly? Their ability to change. I don't know many people that are happy with their current sound (or even the current image), and sometimes it even rubs ME the wrong way ("-saku-" made me blink incessantly at first). But it is this chameleonistic nature about them that I like. (Note: I have heard the rant that they actually are NOT changing much at all anymore. I realize this. I am referring their transition into their hardcore, screechy nature that they keep now.)
THE FAVORITE SONG PART:

THE FAVORITE ALBUM PART:
All of 'em, 'cause there are songs from each album that I enjoy immensely.
THE FAVORITE PV'S PART:
Ano... "[Kr] Cube" "304 Goushitsu, Hakushi no Sakura" "Myaku" "Raison D'etre" "Yokan" "ZAN" "Garden (Osakajo Hall Live)" "Jessica" "Taiyou no Ao" "THE FINAL" ... Yeah, those are probably my hardcore FAVORITES...
THE FAVORITE MEMBER PART:
Kyo is definitely my favorite, though I also have a thing for Totchi...
THE ETC. PART:
One day not too long ago... there was an "event" in the Dir en grey sticky-thread in the Music Forums... In which I had basically exploded over the current bashings of Dir en grey... It seems that since then my name along with a few others has been given the "fangirl" label. At least, it has felt that way.
While I will admit to sounding very fangirly, and discussing/ogling their image (which is apparently a very fangirl thing to do), I don't consider myself a stereotypical, teenybop fangirl. I DO have the ability to sit down and have an intellectual conversation about Dir en grey's music, and I DON'T seriously think I'm going to rape/marry/make babies with all of them (or just Kyo). I just play. And that's all.

Favorite Diru song is Mazohyst of Decadence, Umbrella, Red [EM], Child Prey... and aw hell, all of them X3
Favorite album would be Vulgar, I don't get why so many people bash it neutral My cousin showed me a Dir en Grey pv at her house, I don't member what one it is now... We both laughed and thought it was dorky, except the hair, the hair was COOL!
Later on she found more of their stuff and sent it to me, and I grew to love them.
I don't have a fave pv, they're all pretty nifty... but I do LOVE the 5 Ugly Kingdom DVD.
My fave member is Die, WOO HOO GO DIE! SO HAWT, I want his overalls!!! *coughs*
Diru is one of the few Jrock bands I actually pay attention to, I'm more of an anime nut honestly, but that jsut proves their kickingness, right?

Hi, my "real" name is Glen and I'm..."weird." 3nodding
Anyway, I got myself into Dir en grey. I just randomly downloaded Cage and Yokan and I LOVED THEM! (Before that, I didn't listen to music, any of it. xd ) I own all of their albums and a lot of their singles and some dvds/videos. I want to have a complete DEG collection one day. What I want most is Kyo's poetry book/solo cd so if anyone is selling it or saw someone else selling it somewhere on the internet...... ^_~
Obviously, Kyo is my favorite member. I love everything about him. His voice isn't perfect, but it's emotional and unusual and I think it's beautiful! xd I'm impressed by his lyrics; I'm impressed by anyone who isn't afraid to let other people know what they're writing about, it's something I have trouble with myself. O_o I always find myself attracted to the way he looks too, even when other people say he looks terrible, I guess just knowing it's Kyo is enough for me. o_0 But I love all the other members of course! ^^
My favorite album is Macabre, Kisou is a close 2nd. Everything else is at a sort of tie.
My favorite songs are: egnirys cimredopyh +) an injection, Cage, kiri to mayu, kigan, gyakujou tannou keloid milk, aint afraid to die, akuro no oka, Macabre, and FILTH. I like all of their songs though and depending on my mood, I can listen to any of them happily.
Favorite PVs are akuro no oka, Cage, sangeki no yoru, and room 304.

Hii,
I'm Yuri_Shoujo's cousin. Some stuff about me can be seen in my profile.
I first became aware of Diru's existence when I stumbled across a photo of them all in the Myaku outfits. I am typicaly attrated to things I find visually pleasing and imediatly thought "Hey they look kick a**!" So then I decided to find some of their music...and well now I consider myself to be a big fan. Their sounds are amazing.
Fav album: Macabre
Songs: Child Prey, Obscure, Berry, Zan, Akuro no oka.
Member: Kaoru, He's my guitar idol...and of course id still have his babies. lol
PV: Child Prey, KR Cube, Obscure
I'd have to say listening to Dir en grey has done a number of things for me. Me and a few friends are slowly putting together a die-hard group of cosplayers. We travel to every con we can afford to get to. Distance is only secondary.

I was downloading GLAY songs on Audiogalaxy a few years ago and they had Dir en grey listed under similar artists. I downloaded 'Cage' and loved it!
THE WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THEM PART:
I like them because they have flavor in their songs, they're not afraid to evolve, they have glossy production (Ew, Missa!) and they have personality! They're really diverse and can write both a really angsty ballad and a bone-crushing rock song to break stuff to.
THE FAVORITE SONG PART:
Taiyou no ao
THE FAVORITE ALBUM PART:
Macabre > Vulgar > Gauze > Kisou > six Ugly > > Missa
THE FAVORITE PV'S PART:
I don't like Dir en grey's PVs that much. However... I thought -saku- and Obscure were great. Taiyou no ao was neat also, but I probably liked it because I like the song so much.

Hm... I don't know. Die? He plays the acoustic guitar and I seem to love most of the songs he writes. If not him, then Kyo.
