Melhor was silent, sitting on the edge of pridal lands, ears erect, attention focused on the area. Ever since his Grandmother disappeared, the pride behaved as if at war, the cubs closely guarded, and he... Well, he was making sure no hostiles got in. He looked around attentively, calmly, and stretched. Nothing. So, thus, he was bored.

Jipima wasn't entirely sure of what was going on within the pride. She continued to go on about her business as usual, collecting herbs and what not. Melhor's grandmother had disappeared and that had thrown everything into chaos and everyone was on edge, she wasn't sure she liked it. Especially since it meant even less time with Melhor, which was incredibly disappointing to her. He was her everything and she found herself seeking his companionship whenever there was a bit of downtime for her, which was more often than not now that their children had reached adolescent.

"Melhor?"

"Hmmm?" He looked over, smiling warmly to his mate, before rising, padding over and grooming her ear. "Yes?" He gave her a gentle smile, rumbling in his chest. With all of the events recently, he worried for her more than ever. wish as he did, however, his son had no desire to fight, instead tending to the cubs.

When she saw him she couldn't help but let a smile spread across her lips as she quickly made her way to his side. He was still the same as always, a great relief to her. He had the job of protecting the pride and if anything happened...

She had faith in him, but she couldn't help but continue to worry. "I've missed you, that is all."

"And I you." He smiled, grooming her ears warmly, looking outwards. "How have the children been?"

His tail swayed, and curled, touching hers gently. Lovingly.

"They have been well," she replied with nod. "They're growing up so fast, it's kind of sad," she frowned. It was hard for her to image her babies growing up and having different lives of their own.

"Can you believe it?" She asked pressing her head into his neck. "They're almost all grown up now."

"I know..." He laid his head across her shoulders, sighing deeply.

"Kohrisu tells me he wants to be a healer."

"Does he now?" She replied a small smile spreading across her lips. "Did he tell you why he's chosen that?" She didn't really care either way, he was free to make his own decisions and she was going to support her children with any decision they chose.

"Amnot has been talking to me recently, she wants to do something that allows her to be 'serious' maybe you should speak to her?" Jipima suggested, she was never sure how to handle her dark daughter, she was all business all the time.

"Maybe. No, Kohrisu never talked about his plans with me, or why, beyond that." Melhor looked thoughtful.

"I did mention he may want to help guard, and he seemed frightned of the idea."

Melhor was surprised his son was so gentle sometimes-- it amazed him he even hunted.

"Hm, maybe then I'll speak with him," she told her mate with a small nod as she stepped back. "Kohrisu had never been one for fighting," she remarked thinking back about it. Actually all of her children were so different she was surprised they had come from the same litter at times. "I wouldn't push the subject though love, he'll figure things out, they all will."

"I know they will. They always know how to find happiness." He smiled, stepping towards her and nuzzling her again.

"Just like us," she purred pressing herself up against him once more. "I'm so glad I found you."

Melhor smiled, pressing into her as well as he rumbled, smiling.

"Precisely... Just like us..."

He licked her ear, sighing contentedly.
