No posting in this topic, except for elaineenicolee : D !Everywhere you turn it’s obvious that there are things we cannot understand. Things like random hurricanes. Things like people telling the future. People having the ‘talent’ to fix technology in a matter of moments. People claiming to see the dead. Even prodigies are hard to explain.
Of course, we pass it off and pretend that it’s all a hoax. We create our own explanations of the problems of the world. What if supernatural actually existed? Random hurricanes and prodigies would not seem so weird. What if those with these gifts couldn’t control their powers? People would have to learn how to control their gifts. If not, we would all suffer.
At this school, the gifted can learn to control their supernatural talents.

Birth date: November 17, 1990
Age: 17
Sex: female
Grade: Senior, 12th grade ! The mirror says;; I'm 5' 3” tall, short I know. My hair is super long though, all the way down to my waist. Its naturally curly, but I try to keep it straight most of the time. My skin tone is slightly yellow since I'm Asian. But it's really really light for an Asian girl. I have huge round brown eyes. My lips are kinda big to, which results in the perfect puppy dog face. I'm majorly into fashion. Therefore, whats in, I wear. I love wearing shorts. I rarely wear flare jeans, sticking towards skinny or boyfriend style. I hate printed shirts. When I wear makeup, I only wear eye make up and foundation. Overall, I dress like the typical American teenager. God given ability;; Power: Telepathy, The ability to involuntarily absorb the memories, physical strength, and abilities of anyone touched with my hands. Also, I can input my own memories or thoughts into their minds, which is commonly called Astral Echo. I am also in the process of learning psionic blast, which is Ability to overload another's mind causing pain, memory loss, lack of consciousness, vegetative state or death after having created a psionic link into that individual's mind. Though, since I have not mastered it, I have yet to discover my side effects or pluses. (Those will be added once Mitsukai has developed that power).
Good attributes: I can show individuals things I cannot express through words. There is no mental language, so I can translate foreign languages. It's a lot easier to think the words I wanna say then say them.
Side effects: I have to wear gloves when I'm not using my power. I can only use my ability if I touch the individual through skin to skin contact using my hands. If I am unaware of touching someone, I get a mental shock. Usually that results in a seizure or me breaking down. My power is an interruption of peoples own minds. My life story;;
I was born in Japan. When I was born I had a weird birth defect, I was supposed to die by age 3, but I was lucky. I was raised by Kazuo Kanji and Mari Kanji, my loving parents. I had a big sister, Hana Kanji. Of course I wasn’t good enough for her. She always tried to make me her idea of perfect. I knew it was because she loved me and wanted what was good for me, but she needed to accept me for myself.
We moved to America when I was 5 and Hana was 7. America was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before, extremely wasteful. But Mom told us this was great for us, that’d we would love it here. We moved to Georgia (reason most of my English has a southern draw to it). I made three best friends; Pheebe, Nikol, and Cory. I spent all my time with them. It was a break from everything. Around third grade I realized Cory was the one for me. I told Pheebe and she told Cory and before I knew it, on the first day of fourth grade I was his. Funny thing huh, young love? Life was perfect well, until high school. Hana made me her idea of ‘perfect’. She threw away all my ‘ugly’ clothes. Then she bought me a whole new wardrobe. After that she calmed down, since I had to wear all her clothes.
Then my Dad died. It was five days before my fourteenth birthday. Cory instantly comforted me. My mom started keeping her distance from me and Hana, she controlled me. She cut my hair what ever style she wanted. She bought my clothes and threw away whatever she didn’t like. Then two months after that I discovered my powers. Me and Cory were making out (yes, we were together for 5 ½ years) and I touched his check. It was so weird. I screamed in pain. I saw all his fights with his mother and everything. It was horrible. To make it even worse he called me a freak and ran away. After a week he came to his senses and we worked together to control my powers, but it didn’t help. Finally I was at school and I touched a teacher to comfort her, since her husband just died. But her memories invaded my mind and I had a seizure RIGHT IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. My sister couldn’t handle the embarrassment so she begged my mom to send me to a boarding school. Since my sister was my Mom’s favorite, she agreed. I got sent to a boarding school and every month for four months I had to get switched. Because they’d find out about my power and kick me out or I’d get made fun of so much I begged my mom to switch me.
Finally at the very end of 9th grade I got sent here. It was hard at first, just like all my schools. I spent most of my time crying over Cory and trying hard to make friends. But soon I did and everything got better. This school became my salvation. Soon I got caught up in drama and boys and friends and well, I was almost normal. I had to take summer classes so I’d catch up with everyone. Well, now I’m a 12th grader! Oh and, I almost forgot;;I'm controlled by: ElaineeNicolee

Year # at Genius: fourth year The mirror says Joesph is 5' 9” tall and has an athletic body. His skin tone is take, due to him always being outside. He has long brown hair, with lighter brown high lights. His eyes are bright bright green and he has rather feminine lashes. He has high check bones and a sharp jawline. He also has thin lips and a bright smile. Joesph typically wears slightly preppy clothes. His jeans are never baggy, but they aren't to tight. He usually wears some sorta toms or some other brand named shoes. His shirts are usually from American Eagle or PAC sun. Basically, he looks like the typical preppy jock. Good attributes: If I want a sunny day, it's sunny. If I want a rainy day, its rainy.
Side effects: My powers are tied to my emotions. Therefore, when I'm upset it tends to rain. Or when I'm mad, the earth shakes. I've injured quite a few people because of my anger problems. My life story I guess you could have said my life was anything but ordinary. However, the basic time line was ordinary. My parents got married, they had me, they had Ellie, my dad left. Although, after my Father left, life got weird. Then my powers started showing. It started out as simple things, like if I didn't get what I wanted it would rain outside. Then things advanced. The small rain storm would turn into a thunderstorm. It would snow in the middle of June. We have flash floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes. Oh, did I mention we lived in Nebraska. Earthquakes, flash floods, and hurricanes didn't happen in Nebraska. We had tornadoes though. And boy, I loved making tornadoes. Soon, my small city was making news everywhere. My mother stopped watching the news though. Soon our house was just full of my tantrum tantrums.
Things started to plummet though, steadily getting worse. However, it got to a sudden halt when I killed my sister. It all started by her breaking my guitar. I lost my tamper like always, and water started flooding my bedroom. After a while, she was dead. I had drowned her. I stayed at home for a week till I ran away. Then I ran away to Mrs. Johnson's house. She was a rich widow on the other side of town. She sheltered me and even taught me a thing or two about controlling my powers.
After living with her for a year, she got me into Genius Academy. Since then i've been getting better at my powers and spending all my time with my best friend Mitsukai.

Grade: 12th, Senior baby!
Year # at Genius: 4th The mirror says Nikky is 5'4", not too skinny for her size, and has dirty blonde hair in the late fall and winter months, and a lighter blonde during the spring and summer months, mainly due to the sun. She likes to have a tan, but not one too extreme, for she wants her skin to fit with her hair. She likes wearing purples and blues and pinks. Overall, she's what some would consider a prep. God given ability Power: The ability to produce Tangible Illusions
Good attributes: Make things appear out of thin air, especially handy if Nikky needs something at the moment, but won't need it later.
Side effects: The size and duration in which an object is made can drain energy from Nikky, and can cause the image to fade and disappear. My life story I was born eighteen years ago, sick. I had to stay in the hospital for the first ten days of my life, I came close to dying. While I was there, they gave me medicine to make me get better, but in the end it messed with me. It didn't show at first, but as I grew older, I started showing my parents things, like what I wanted, things I had seen, stuff like that. That's when they started freaking out. They told me that if I wanted to tell them something, I had to say it, not show it. It helped me to improve my vocabulary and speaking skills which I had used so little before. As I aged, and made my way through middle school, I had basically forgotten about them. However, when I was reading a book, I imagined what the main character would look like, and to my suprise, I saw an exact replica of my mental image standing before me. Thats when I started trying to hone my skill. My parents found out and sent me to Genius Academy my freshman year, now I'm a senior. Oh and, I almost forgot I'm controlled by: shauna_marie

God gave me this: The power of teleportation. I can move myself to wherever I please, and can move others as well. I also have a connection with my sister, although it is not a power, where I can feel her pain and emotions.
This is my life story: My sister is Riah, and my story is almost the same as hers, except I am the younger child. I never showed any powers and the doctors never noticed anything strange about me like they had with her. For years while she went through rigorous testing I just sat there and watched her, feeling all of her anger. That caused me to act out a lot since I was unaware of where the anger was coming from. By the age of 12 I began to understand our connection and I calmed myself. I was able to distinguish what was her emotions and what were mine. I loved my sister dearly and although I'm younger I watched over her with my life. When my parents sent her to be with my Grandparents I couldn't take it. I would lay on the living room floor for days and just feel her emotions, imagining myself where she was as a way of comfort. My parents began to get mad at me and would yell at me constantly, not knowing what has become of their only son. I fled to my room in anger and with the blink of my eyes I was in Riah's room. I didn't know how it happened but with the help of my sister we discovered my ability and how to control it.

Year # at Genius: first ☼The mirror says☼ ohh la la ♥!;; I'm 5'5” with super tan skin. I have a fairly athletic body that I have to work out constantly to keep up. If I don't, I easy lose muscle and go back to the scrawny boy I was when I was young. Though, its better than getting picked on again. I have long curly black hair, though when I straighten it, it looks super choppy. I have blue eyes and dark lashes. I usually wear Hollister or PAC sun clothing. So, I guess I'm just one of those preppy jock boys? ☼God given ability☼ Power: shape shifting
Good attributes: I can turn into any animal or human figure I want to.
Side effects: If I'm really upset when I shape shift, I can totally screw up and become more than one animal or messed up. When that happens, it can take awhile for me to shift back into my normal form. ☼My life story☼ When I was a little kid I was bullied. Mainly because I was tiny and scrawny. It pretty much sucked. All through out preschool and kindergarten I had no friends and I always went home crying. It didn't help that in first grade things got rough at home when my parents started going through a divorce. I had an upsetting home and no social life, bad way to be a little kid. Though, things changed drastically when this little girl named Mitsukai came to school. She came in the middle of first grade and didn't know an ounce of English, all she spoke was Japanese! For the first two weeks she went to a special speech class, where they found someone who taught her English. By the time she was done with that, she came to my class.
When she started regular classes everyone was amazed by her. She would yell at you in Japaneses when she was mad, leaving you clueless and offended. She's tell amazing stories of her home in Japan and her Asian family. Not to mention she was rich as could be. Everyone loved her. Though, instead of bullying me she was nice. You'd think she'd follow side by side with the cool kids by picking on the scrawny kid. Yet she didn't. Once she started hanging out with me, the cool kids stopped picking on me. She didn't even waste time on them. Instead she claimed that “we're the cool ones”. So instead we hung out with Nikol and Phoebe, her other two friends. We hung out all the time. The next couple of years were paradise. It didn't matter that I never got accepted in the cool crowd. It didn't matter that I wasn't even allowed on the sports teams in middle school (even though I had skills). I have Mitsukai, Nikol, and Pheebe.
Things started to suck once Mitsukai's father died. We were making out (since me and her started officially dating in 5th grade) and suddenly she just started having a seizure. It was the scariest thing ever. But even worse, was the way she looked at me after. I just knew that she saw my soul. It freaked me out honestly, so I screamed. “What did you do?!” She didn't answer. “Y...yu...you freak!” I yelled. I hadn't meant it, but I was scared. I ran out of the room and headed home. I tried to ignore her screaming after me. I just wanted to be home and figure things out.
Soon we made up and we figured out she was gifted with some ability to read minds and stuff. It was weird but she was the most important person in my life, so I didn't care. Things were fine again. That is, until the school found out something was wrong with her. They just thought she had an health problem, since she kept passing out or having seizures. Though, that was the only because she kept touching people. Soon she swirled into depression. She wouldn't talk. She wouldn't touch anyone. Finally she told her Mom about her powers (she had to since her Mom was going to send her to a hospital). Her mom freaked out and sent her off to boarding schools. She'd always get kicked out, stay home for a week, go to another school, get kicked out after a month, then the cycle stared all over again. It was tearing us apart.
Finally we broke up. It shouldn't have affected me the way it did, but it did. I decided I'd take my life, so I tried. However, it didn't work. I went to the river and jumped off. I was about half way down when my body started changing. Before I knew it I had turned into a fish! Scary right? When I got out I turned back into me. That night I went home and told my mom. She thought I was crazy until a few weeks later I turned into a tiger right in front of her. It scared her and my three year old sister. Soon she went to talk to Mitsukai's mom about it. Mrs. Kanji explained that some kids have powers and the best thing she could do for me was ship me off to a school where they'll shape my powers. She stated how Mitsukai was recovering a lot in the few months she had been attending Genius Academy. My mom didn't want me with Mitsukai though, so she sent me to a school in London.
My time in this school was incredible. I played every sport I could and did all my school work. I also could control my powers perfectly within the first few years. Everything had turned around perfectly. I was popular and had a lot of friends. Life was perfect, until the very end. Half way through my first year I got in a huge fight. He found the letters Mitsukai wrote me and was threatening to go to Genius and do something to her. I don't know why he did. After the fight I heard it was because he got ratted out for selling drugs, and was accusing me. Whatever, I honestly didn't give a crap. All I knew was he was threatening the life of the girl I loved and I wasn't going to put up with it. I threw the first punch, but after a few I got so pissed I transformed. He had a giant tiger on top of him slashing him up. I almost killed him and from what I heard he'll never walk again. I ended up getting expelled and my mom started searching for a place where I could attend. She called Genius since no other school would take me, and here I am now. ☼Oh and, I almost forgot☼ I'm controlled by: elaineenicolee

God gave me this: I can strongly influence or even control an individual's thinking, behavior or consciousness. Normally I can only read minds and influence the way they think, but if they are unaware of my ability and don't have a barrier up, I am able to control their entire process of thinking.
This is my life story: I was born into a middle-class family of two, and thought to have a mental handicap. The wave patterns of my brain was so unlike other they believed I had something along the lines of Schizophrenia or Turrets. Of course, I was completely fine but I wasn't able to tell them that. They had me on scheduled medication and I went through weekly psychiatrist sessions at the age of 5. They hadn't seen any results of either disease, but they were certain I had one. At the age of 7 I began to demonstrate my powers, and I forced my teacher to not give us any homework for weeks. The psychiatrist noticed something was wrong with me, for not even 5 minutes into the session she believed it had been the whole two hours. After two years of monitoring me they discovered I had a unique power, and my parents freaked out and shipped me to my Grandparents. They discovered that I was only able to access your mind if I made eye contact, So they bought me a Top hat that goes low enough over my eyes to control my power. At the age of 15 I was sent here, where I've remained ever since.

I am about 6'. Kinda tall but not freakishly tall. My hair is a light brown and my eyes are a light blue. Because of the training I constantly do I'm not scrawny, but not too muscular. My tan is bland, but at least it's something.

Power: Elemental Abilities
Good attributes: I am able to create things out of the elements that surround me. I can use them to fight with if need be. The little things I can do is heat things up, like if my food is cold I can warm it up or if its just cold outside i can make it warm around myself. Same thing with the heat, I can cool things down.
Side effects: The bad things about my power though is that if I am not careful I could kill someone. If my emotions are messed up or if I'm stressed I may not be able to completely control it. Like the air could change temperature around me. Just many things can go wrong if I'm not careful.
My life story I may not look like it, but I was born and raised in a different dimension. I don't really like this part, but I was the Prince of the Kingdom I lived in. Now I am the king, but I don't act like it. I like being at this school more than being there. The work keeps me stressed a bit, and I am trying to find a way to get someone to take over. Now back to the past. My brother and I played a lot, but sometimes our powers would lose control and we would burn down the forest. However I had special powers to have slight control over plants. He would plant the seeds and I would help them grow when he watered them. Recently, my brother had killed our parents, this is why I am King. He thought he would have been kind but he was noticed killing so he was exiled. He wants to kill me so that way he can take over, but my friends and I have stopped him a few times. Oh and, I almost forgot I'm controlled by: Kyuubi Roxas

God gave me this: I am a shapeshifter.
This is my life story: I've drifted around the country a lot with my parents who travel for a living. I have come across many animals, wild and tame which is probably what influenced my power. One day out in the woods I was running with my dog Mickey
when he suddenly bolted away and I couldn't see where he was. I searched for him for hours and when I thgouht it was hopeless I closed my eyes and tried to think of where he would go. When I opened them I was Mickey. I had freaked out and ran home screaming, er, yelping. My parents had known about powers because my ex-boyfriend named Vick had had powers too. He had gone ot this school, though he thankfully left last year so I no longer have to deal with him. I've been at this school ever since and am now a senior.
